Well it could have been better birthday trip. The waterfalls were not flowing perfectly but it will not stop us from going back. The She-qua-na falls is gorgeous and right in the middle of town. FREE to enjoy and will definitely go back again

Would give a better rating but did not get full experience due to weather and lack of water flowing. But is a nice beautiful stop and view to look at.

This is always a special spot for me. Sometimes, after some heavy rain, these falls can be really roaring. Usually, they are pretty tame. This is one of those 5 minute break stops. There is a small pull off for street parking. Usually, there aren't a lot of people here. A very simple view, but much less touristy than some of the other falls in the region.

We found the falls while traveling to Glen Watkins. We were driving and all of a sudden the falls appeared out of no where (see videos, disregard the chatter and background music). The area while traveling to Watkins Glen has a few waterfalls that are all worth stopping to take a closer look at

Bring your own sleeping bag, blankets, sheets, pillows, lantern, and water. There is a small shelf, no other shelves. Or table inside the cabin. There is a picnic table in the concrete slab outside the cabin. One fire ring, bring your own grill. The office closes early. We got to the campsite after 7pm and there was no way to check in and get the key. We had to wait until the next day. They sell ice and firewood at the office. Bring cash. You out the cash in the box grab the key go out and unlock the shed for wood. Same for ice but out of the cooler. The staff seemed friendly, bathrooms were clean, sites were tidy. You can hike to the gorge from the campground very well marked. They have a pool, however it was not open when I went so I cannot review that. Quick ride into town where there are restaurants, breweries, more falls, the lake, and much more.

I found the setting open and expansive, with clear sightlines across the water that changed character depending on the weather and season. The shoreline offered a mix of natural overlooks, parks, marinas, and small developed areas, giving me multiple ways to experience the lake rather than a single central viewpoint. The main highlight for me was the lake itself and the variety of ways to interact with it. The water felt calm and clean in many areas, and the region is especially known for boating, cruising, and lakeside relaxation. Along the surrounding shores, vineyards and wineries are a major part of the identity, and I stopped at a few for tastings with scenic views over the water. The small towns around the lake added to the experience, giving me access to picnic areas, walking paths, and casual waterfront spots where I could take in the lake at a slower pace. The experience around Seneca Lake was generally relaxed and spread out, with no single concentrated entry point or structured route. I took a boat tour from one of the marinas, which gave me a more immersive perspective on the water, and I also pulled over at roadside overlooks and shoreline parks for simpler, quieter moments. Crowds varied by season, with summer being more active and the time I visited feeling much quieter.
