Me and my Other Half planned his 50th fastened in their beautiful ballroom adjacent the dining area of the hotel; via a signed contract with the Catering Sales Manager: Angelica Gonzales. Within a month later, we received a phone call from Angelica along with a Filipina associate named Meg stating that there was a mishap with the booking -- that the day of was "double booked" with a Salvation Army all-event! You can imagine how livid we were; demanding for them to correct this; being forthright with the initial contract and the fact that there were no other rooms available on our fixed date. They exclaimed they (Salvation Army) were "dedicated" annual contractors and tried to insist having the nerve to try and downgrade the venue in the Dining Room!! This was utterly proposterious and outrageous, I was enraged and yelled at Angelica with just how appalled we were with this whole debacle -- an absolute disservice in having the audacity to treat their customers like this after we have already sent out physical invitations to our guests coming out-of-town and out-of-country. We demanded the refund of our down-payment. There was a leu of procrastinations even getting that back! It almost felt we were getting stiffed. My older sister whom is well-immersed in the Catering and Hotel industry had to get involved; inquired information at the hotel reception for the higher management and sent a letter to the Manager of Food & Dining as well as the Director of the Sheraton. We got our refund immediately the next day. BEWARE of this specific Sheraton location, they have reneged on several other customers. We overlooked the Website and Google reviews until after we were screwed over...They should be ashamed of themselves, their professional etiquette is 2nd to that of a roach motel, at least you know what you're expecting -- not the element of surprise... read more

I don't usually leave negative reviews, but my experience at the Sheraton Cerritos warrants one. I booked my event, paid a deposit, and had already mailed invitations to my guests when I was informed a month later that my venue had been double-booked. There appeared to be confusion regarding the reservation date, with Friday or Sunday offered as alternatives. However, my contract clearly reflects a Saturday booking. Unfortunately, those alternatives were not feasible since invitations had already been sent, which created significant complications. The alternative space offered was also noticeably smaller and felt like a downgrade, as it would not comfortably accommodate my guest count. Communication following this issue was inconsistent, with delays and proposed solutions that did not align with my needs or budget. I specifically chose this location due to its convenience as my hometown venue, which made the situation even more disappointing. While my deposit was eventually refunded after about a week, there was no meaningful effort to address the inconvenience or the disruption caused by the month-long back-and-forth. We didn't get a chance to have dinner there. We had breakfast buffet. I'd say it's not worth the price though. They have on site paid parking. My husband booked our stay at the sheraton cerritos for a weekend event in bellflower, and i was hoping this would be an easy, comfortable home base. the room itself was actually lovely, clean, calm, and overlooking the pool. the bed was comfortable, and front desk service was great when i needed extra coffee creamers. no issues there. but that's where the positives end. the moment i realized our room didn't include a microwave, I went searching for the shared guest one. I asked a staff member in the corner stone restaurant, and she sent me way across the hotel. maybe she didn't know... or maybe she knew exactly what I was walking into. because when I finally found the microwave in the corner stone restaurant, I was genuinely shocked. It was filthy. not "someone forgot to wipe the plate" dirty, full-on unacceptable dirty. for this to be the only microwave available to guests is honestly outrageous. It completely took away from the experience and overshadowed the comfort of the room. cleanliness is a basic standard, and this didn't come close. the location was perfect for our needs, and I appreciate the pleasant room and helpful front desk. but I can't overlook something this unsanitary, especially from a hotel with Sheraton in the name. On the ongoing adventure that was my trip to Los Angeles, this Sheraton in Cerritos was one of my hotel choices. It's not an easy task finding the right location for a hotel stay in LA. There are so many options but there are also lots of duds for a variety of reasons. The hotel is about a 3 minute drive off the highway and very easy to find. It is also located in a well served area with lots of eateries, shopping centers and the ever elusive gas station. It also seems like a very walkable area with lots of walkways and spaces to roam. The hotel features a small outdoor pool that was behind the main building and thus in shade. Unsure what the tanning situation would be like, fyi. There are some substantial party and meeting rooms. The weekend I breezed through there was a plan for a Quinceañera party (they all looked so nice and happy), a business conference and some form of goth- like gathering (based on the general dress and age of the attendees). All to say that it is a pretty busy, conference/events focused place but it suited the needs of my group just fine. My room was not ready upon arrival but I was early so I didn't mind. They did offer to hold my luggage whilst I explored the area. They said they could place it in my room once it was ready if I wasn't back in time. They day shift team members were very helpful and nice. They even recommended a Mediterranean buffet across the way for lunch which was a good selection. Some cons that I encountered: Someone randomly knocked on my door in the middle of the night but I think they just had the wrong room. I didn't inquire and went about my business. The sheets on the bed were wrinkled and I just couldn't help but wonder if the bed had just been remade or if the sheets had been changed between guests. Lastly, like most hotels this Sheraton provides body wash, shampoo and conditioner in pumps in the shower. However, unlike most hotels these were less than half filled which I found odd since housekeeping usually tops these off. It made me wonder (and feel uneasy) about what other shortcuts housekeeping took whilst getting my room ready. Other than that, the room passed my Bedbug inspection and basic requirements for cleanliness. I would stay again but just not arrive early for check-in so as to not rush housekeeping. I thought this was pretty much a basic hotel. Everything was neat, clean and well maintained. However, it's certainly nothing special. The main advantage of staying at this hotel is that it's directly across from the Cerritos Center. So it's perfect for spending the night if you happen to be attending a show there. They do charge $19 for overnight guest parking. Also, there is a small restaurant in the hotel where you can purchase breakfast. They have a buffet there in the morning which goes for $23. I didn't particularly want to have the buffet during my stay, so I reviewed the menu, which I thought was particularly overpriced. Most outrageously, I noticed that they charge $8 just for a cup of hot coffee. The good news is that there are numerous eateries very close by in the mall across the street. It's a clean hotel; old but clean. Nothing high tech or fancy......just a decent place to place your visiting relatives. I had an aunt/uncle stay here for the week, and they were very happy with the clean surroundings. The food was mediocre and breakfast was subpar, but there's a mall across the street, with a Walmart, TraderJoe's and several restaurants, so that wasn't too much of a deal breaker. The staff were pleasant enough and thankfully they found a Filipino staff/teammate that was very kind to the senior citizens. They couldn't remember the name but they were happy with the stay. We always chose the Sheraton for out of town visitors. :) read more

Excellent hotel and now on our list of places to stay while we're in LA. Booked two rooms since our son, DIL, and three grandchildren were with us. They gave us adjoining rooms which was perfect. The first time this has happened in a long time. Check in was easy enough. Then we got the keys to our rooms and headed up to the 6th floor. -Parking in the parking lot $ -Luggage carts available -Starbucks in the lobby -Clean and modern decor There is a shopping center across the street with a Wood Ranch Restaurant which is where we enjoyed dinner. Also across the street is Trader Joes. Macaroni Grill is across the street too, but don't go there, it's not so great. We're Marriott Elite members so we had use of the Lounge during hours posted: coffee, water, soft drinks, snacks. Breakfast and afternoon hot foods. read more

My husband and I went up to Cerritos for a show at the Cerritos Performing Arts Center on a Friday night and needed a place to stay near the venue. I noticed that the Sheraton was a short walk away, but little did I know that it is truly just a short walk across the parking lot. It is located in the middle of suburbia, so don't expect any fun bars or swanky restaurants, but all of the chain restaurants from the early 2000's are a hop, skip, and a jump away. Anyway, we arrived, parked and walked in to check in. I would say that the front staff wasn't overly friendly, but was efficient. I do think it was annoying that they charge $15 for parking, as there is free parking all over the lot. I didn't realize that at the time, as I was unfamiliar with the area so just agreed to pay. It is a shameless way for the hotel to rake in a little extra cash. If I stay again, I will definitely say that I do not have a car, as the hotel does not own the entire lot. Aside from that, I have nothing bad to say about the pla.e. The room was comfortable and clean. Our window had a view of the performing art center, as this is just a hotel in the middle of a conference/ arts center. I liked that we had a usable fridge (not a mini bar) so we could put drinks in to pre-party for the show. The closet had plenty of space for our outfits for the evening. We never ordered room service or ate in the restaurant so I cannot judge. There was a large dispenser of water at the bottom of the elevators. We had limited bottled water with us, so getting water whenever we went up the elevator was helpful. Late at night, they were out of water and the gentleman cleaning the bar at the end of the evening gave us plastic cups so we had plenty of water for the room. All in all, the Sheraton was a regular hotel without surprises (minus the annoying parking charge) that was conveniently located close to our concert venue and some chain restaurants in case you are hungry or would like a late night appetizer or cocktail. read more

This review is specific to the Cornerstone Bar & Kitchen. We came for a nightcap after a Dave Koz & Friends Christmas show across the parking lot. We were served by a bartender named Brian and he made two of the most delicious espresso martinis (one regular, one with Baileys Irish Creme) we've ever had! He was quick, friendly, and made sure all guests in the hotel who wanted a drink close to the bar's closing time got served. We were that impressed that we said we stay at this hotel because of his hospitality & personality. He not only took great care of us, but to all the guests he served prior to close. We stayed here for a night with two kids and paid under $100. The room was standard, sink area in bathroom looked new -the rest was a little dated. The beds were comfy and clean. No bad smells or dirt/dust. We would stay here again, we just hope our bathroom is not super noisy like it was this time around. read more

I'm staying here for a wedding and this was a very terrible hotel. The breakfast is $23 per person, and it was THE worst hotel food I've ever had. I've had free breakfast places that have better quality than this. Stale tasting eggs, terrible fruit, sausages and bacon are awful. I wasted $100 to eat cereal. Room service sucks as well. I asked for towels and they didn't even knock on the floor to notify us. They left it on the floor!! Disgusting. We couldn't use two of them since it was on the floor. We couldn't even call for room service because guess what? The phone doesn't work either!!! Don't bother wasting your money in this hotel. I would give this zero stars if I could. read more

Solid hotel in northwest Orange County. I stayed one night for a Friday-Saturday networking event. The room was spacious and clean, but it was right next to the elevators! When I booked online, I had specifically requested a quiet room AWAY from the elevators, as I have trouble sleeping in hotels. They must've misread my ask! There was at least one wedding party at the hotel, so the atmosphere was festive, with rowdy, happy guests. The room next to mine was one that the teens and young adults decided to hang out in, and they played video games till late into the night! Fortunately, I had packed my ear plugs which kept out most of the noise, and it was the weekend so I was just in a relaxed mood and tried not to let the noise bother me. The meeting area we had our networking event in was excellent. It was next to the breakfast room, and was spacious and airy with access to the patio. There was plenty of coffee (which I needed!) and the catered food (especially the short rib) was exceptional. Common area rest rooms were clean and well maintained, and there was plenty of parking in the rear of the hotel, where I parked my rental SUV. Will likely be back for the same event next year, and this time I'll not make any special room requests! read more

I always have unpleasant experiences with Sheraton both locally and internationall. we stayed at the Sheraton Cerritos hotel as wedding guests with a group of 50+ people with 10-12 rooms for two night. The manager who booked the rooms emailed the confirmation confirming that the breakfast and car parking is included in the package. However in the morning all guests were told that breakfast is not included and they had to pay for it out of pocket. Later they billed all the guests $15 per night parking fee. This hotel staff is very rude and the desk manager clearly said that the manager who booked this event booking is no more with Sheraton. Instead of honoring the package the staff guests were charged with $60 each for breakfast and parking. stay away from this hotel as its not reliable and are ripoff. read more

We stayed here as a more affordable option to staying in one of the Disney hotels, and we absolutely loved it! The staff were very helpful, nice, and service-oriented. There are many good places to eat nearby (one place is a 5-minute walk) and there are a ton of options on DoorDash. I was really impressed one day when we had an...interesting day. We ended the day very tired, exhausted, soaking wet, with tired and painful feet. So much walking in Disney! In the rain! We came back to our room...to a spotless, made up room. We didn't ask for the room to be made up but they did it anyway! (We were always still in the room when housekeeping would check, and we had to ask at the front desk to have the room cleaned, especially if one is staying multiple days.) I almost cried! It was such a wonderful space to return to! This hotel is 12-15 minutes away from Disney. And Walmart is nearby. And tons of other resources. My daughter absolutely loved the pool. (I didn't plan on going to a pool, so we had to make a run to Walmart to get swimming gear. Very convenient.) Pools in IL don't open until May or June, so she certainly took advantage of the hotel's pool! When we come back, we are most definitely going to stay here. read more

Wheelchair accessibility, BEWARE. This is a lovely hotel, with pretty walls and a leveled front. That's about it. My boyfriend uses a wheelchair, and sadly this experience is similar to many more hotels out there. He booked an accessible room with a roll in shower ( this means no tub so he can access the shower area and have a proper cleanse). Once the room was booked, he called the night before and spoke to an employee to confirm the room was ideal ( roll in shower). 6 hours before arrival, once again my boyfriend called the hotel, and they were asked to check and make sure the room was as asked for. They confirmed happily that it was so. When we arrived to the hotel. Guess what???? THEY GAVE US THE WRONG ROOM. The cherry on top of this ? There is only 3 rooms in the WHOLE hotel with roll in shower for ADA customers ( what the night manager said to us) and all booked. The managers solution to how my boyfriend will be able to shower ? To use the very public and open employee shower....... no thanks. For the visuals and price, I would have thought management and staff were more organized than this. Very dissapointing to have to triple check to avoid this issue, only for 3 different staff to under perform and leave someone in a wheelchair the issue of no accessible private shower that they paid for. read more

Customer Service and keeping your word! We got to the hotel right at 3 o'clock to check into our room and it was not ready, so we went to get lunch. We came back at at 5 o'clock. Our room was still was not ready. I wanted to relax and take my time getting ready for a party we were going to that started at 6:00pm. We did not get into the room until almost 5:30pm and they gave me a room on the third floor when I had booked a high floor room. As I was rushing to get ready, I called and asked them if they could at least send up some complementary waters to the room. An hour and a half later they still had not brought us our waters. We walked downstairs at 7 o'clock to call an Uber to go to the party. we stopped by the front desk telling them that no one brought our waters. They apologized and said to stop by the front desk before we went back up to our room and they would have waters for us. We got back to the hotel at 11 and we went into the hotel bar. On our way back to room we went to the desk and they had no waters for us. They said they couldn't even find any extra waters to give us. I told them I'm tired of being over promised and under delivered. I just stormed off pissed off and went to my room. About an hour after that happened and we were in our room and winding down getting ready to go to bed. There was a knock at her door and it was someone from the front desk that brought us three or four bottles of water and she said "I had to go to the end of the earth to get these for you" and walked away. Our stay was ok. the room was clean and nice enough. The walk to our room about got us high from the smell of mary jane. The ice machine did not work and the 'vending machine" offered 4 sodas. the bad...our rental car was stolen from the hotels parking lot. When we asked if they had our car towed we were told they don't tow on the weekends. when we said then our car was stolen and asked if they have cameras in their parking lot they said no. They gave us the phone number for the local sheriffs office and that was it. No concern for our situation, nothing from the manager, just a "oh no" from the desk clerk. Maybe I just have ptsd from how having our car stolen impacted our whole trip, but I doubt I will stay here again knowing they don't have cameras in the parking lot and they had no concern their guest. read more

Air conditioner - temp and noise Staff helpfulness Food options Upon check out this morning, I learned that the management comes in at noon and there is no people in charge at the hotel during check out. We had a 2 night stay in room 237 and the 1st night was ok, but a little warm. We realized that the A/C was not working correctly by 11 am so we requested a room change. We were denied our request and a man came and got the A/C to blow colder air. We spent Saturday at the event in the garden terrace and dinner with family. I tried to put my children to bed at 10pm as we had to get up early to drive home. Our window was closed but the noise from the evening party on the terrace was ridiculous. The windows need better sound proofing or you need a policy change. People at the party should have been booked in our room. Then at 1 am the air conditioner woke us up with the sound of running water and knocking. It continued all night long and kept us awake. I got a print out of our room charges and I'm not convinced that we were charged correctly. In summary we have stayed there a long time ago and it is convenient, but I'm not sure if we could try that again. 1. A/C was warm 2. Loud party/ kids at 10:30pm 3. I am a spg Starwood member and have stayed at this location many times before. They used to have the best beds. And after I seen the recent remodel I decided to stay again with the misses. To my unpleasant surprise, I found a skidmark on the restroom door. Worst thing to find. Old and dried. Called the front desk who sent up housekeeping manager. Who stated "I cannot tell what it is, the best we can do is switch your rooms... I will talk to whoever cleaned this room" UNACCEPTABLE to say the least. You have human decal matter smeared against a door that was supposed to be cleaned to "covid standards" and that's what is left for guests.... The front desk never followed up with me and no attempt was made to resolve the issue or make it "right". read more

We have frequented this place at least once a year and decided to go for it again while we visit family in Buena Park for Thanksgiving 2020. We were again impressed with not only their hospitality but their ability to handle difficult situations. Let's begin... SERVICE: 5/5 stars - From the moment we checked-in, we were immediately greeted. We booked on Hotels.com because they had a deal, and at the time, Hotels.com advertised that this location was pet friendly. (*side note* They have always been pet friendly, at least for the past few years). Turns out, the week before we arrived, they changed to NO PETS. My heart sank. We had booked this room weeks in advance and it's already difficult to travel with pets, especially during COVID. They didn't skip a beat and said that they would let us stay because Hotels.com didn't get the update in time. They apologized for our future visits, too. I was so grateful! They didn't have to but they did! They ended up putting us at the end of one of the floors which we really appreciated. Our pup is only a year and she is no trouble at all, but it's nice to be on the end. Well..... not for this visit! I read that there were a lot of complaints about noisy people and boy did we get the noisiest neighbor. I'm talking music blaring until 11pm and then kids running around at 8am. Good lord, I'm on vacation!!! We asked the front office to move us because we didn't want to spend the next 3 nights waking up at 7am. When we went downstairs, they apologized profusely and offered us our beverage of choice from their refrigerator. They told us that our noisy neighbors would be checking out the next morning, so we opted to stay. The next few nights were especially quiet. They won't do turndown service unless you specifically ask for it. We usually opt out of turndown service and call for towels when we need them. They are very quick with bringing the towels, which is something many hotels struggle with. They were at our door in less than 10 minutes. ROOM: 3/5 stars - Believe when people say the WALLS ARE PAPER THIN!!! IDC if you're a heavy sleeper, the walls are ridiculously thin. If you're looking for a place to get away and get a great nights sleep, don't stay here during peak times. While the lobby and rooms have been upgraded, the bathrooms in the room could use some work. They are extremely basic and bland looking. LOCATION: 5/5 - LOVE this place for their location! Across the street is PetSmart, Petco, Trader Joes, and Nordstrom's Rack. RECOMMEND eating at BAKERS & BARISTAS (get the Tapsilog and Lavender Latte). Overall, would stay here again during non-peak hours! read more
