After hearing that our friend had a great experience, we decided to work with Eagle Inspections…read moreourselves for our first-time homebuying process. We had the opportunity to work with Chris in our property. The entire process was seamless, from booking an appointment, the invoice, and the day-of procedure. Chris arrived early to capture the exterior documentation (i.e., front/back entrances, roof, facade) and greeted my partner and I with warmth and good humor. We examined each part of our future home, and Chris was very helpful with answering our questions and sharing context when weren't familiar with certain issues. It's clear he was knowledgeable and reassured us that we would be in good hands on closing day. After the inspection, you receive an in-depth report with assessments on the areas of improvement, concerns, and general status reports. I think he did a great job "looking for trouble," keeping us notified of how to be proactive should any maintenance is needed. Eagle Inspections was great to work with, and should definitely be considered in any home-buying process.

I recently had two disappointing experiences with my "first time home buying" inspection service…read more The first inspection for the new home indicated everything was fine, but after taking my contractor he discovered serious electrical and roofing issues, leading to my cancellation and a loss of $1,000. I gave the company another chance for my next inspection, where a different technician completed the job in under half an hour, assuring me everything was okay. However, after moving in, I found that the water line is missing its metal lid, the HVAC system was missing a pump that caused a flood in my basement and I had to hire a plumber for drainage issues. After spending $2,300 total with "Eagle Inspection", I realized I should have invested in inspection training instead. When I contacted the company about my concerns, I was promised a callback but never received one. I wouldn't recommend this company unless you already have inspection knowledge.

Our only regret in hiring John Brady with Brady Property Services is that we didn't find and hire…read morehim sooner. John gave us a competitive estimate in mid-2022 to renovate a hallway and half bath - a project delayed by budgets and the pandemic for about 4+ years. We set a start date of early January 2023 and John began his work. We found John and his colleague to be extremely professional, prompt and thoughtful in their work. What's more - John asked questions and verified details with us as he went. There was no assuming what we might want, and he offered helpful ideas and recommendations. Working in a fairly tight space, John and his colleague were respectful of the fact that I work from home and, although construction noise is unavoidable when tearing down walls and what have you, they were not intrusive or blasting loud music as they worked. I sincerely appreciated their professional manner and dress because my mother lives with us and I am keenly aware of how strangers in the house might make her feel uncomfortable. They were so polite and respectful of her and my family. That cannot be said of all contractors. Now, the work quality: I'd rate it excellent or better. John took great care to ensure the quality of the work and materials would meet or exceed our expectations. He even found a better solution for some cabinets for us that matched the style we wanted without impacting the budget. The drywall work was excellent. He managed to match and/or mirror some intricate moldings to exactly what we hoped for. John also stayed late once or twice because he wanted to make sure the quality of the work was also up to his high standards. Prior to hiring John, we had another company work on a basement renovation. The comparison was like night and day. The company handling the basement took too long, cost too much and the quality of both the work and the workers was not good. Brady Property Services was a study in contrasts with John's work completed in a timely manner, staying within a reasonable budget and producing outstanding quality in the work itself. We have more projects to complete, and John will now be our first call for all of them. I highly recommend him.

Downstairs toilet did not work and we had to replace the insides. This problem should have been the easiest one to find. It's as simple as flush the toilet. Does it flush? If not, you probably shouldn't say that it works on the inspection report... a cheap fix, but still frustrating 2. Waste stack was leaking and rusted and was connected with galvanized pipe to cast iron (A BIG NO NO!). However, this was listed as fine in the inspection report. ... a $600 fix 3. Roof is leaking in SEVERAL spots. My fiance and I (who have no background in construction) could see water spots which we questioned during the inspection. However, we were told that everything was fine. Now, there are several spots that are leaking and there is a small hole in the roof which has ruined our couch... a $5,600 fix!! 4. The sewer vent is cracked. When the roofer came out, he could see from FAR AWAY that the sewer vent on the roof was cracked. We were informed by the plumber that it is cracked 2 to 3 ft down and they will need to tear through our bathroom wall to fix it! ... scared to find out how much this will cost Moral of the story, Dana is more of a scam artist than he is a inspector. Don't you think it's a little ironic that he is an inspector ... and a contractor?
