I've been working around here for about a year and a half and did not know such thing. Welcome to the Walmart of the tools stores. Here is an excellent place to find those tools that are cheap in price as well as craftmanship but that is not a bad thing. Why get those kind of tools here do you ask? Well if you worked in the construction business you will most likely understand that you need those "cheap" tools to lend to your co workers that like to not give things back, you've lost only $5 and not $15, get it? Got it? Good! There are lots of "gadget" tools that will keep you amazed and wondering why those were not invented earlier or why you have not seen them anywhere else. They have everything from those electronic fly swatters ($5 here, $12 at other places), your staple tools aka wrenches, sockets, screw drivers etc, varment traps, compressors, small electric hand tools, jewelry cleaners, wheels, welders and women.... yes, they shop here too. Customer service is pretty much helpful and friendly. If they notice the lines getting backed up a quick intercom call will squash the situation in minutes via stand in's hustling from the back to man the other two cash registers. Parking is plenty, it sits in the same parking lot as a pawn shop so if you can't find what you need over there, you should be able to find it here. Note, if you ever see the word "Pittsburgh" on someone's tools, you pretty much know where they bought it. If you are a married woman and want a place to drop off your man for a few hours while you do whatever you need to do.......well this is the place, he won't miss you while he's in here, just saying.

Their customer service is nonexistent and the management is the worst of the worst. This store sold me lumber with mold on it on more than one occasion. I have spent months trying to contact them to get help. The manager will absolutely not answer the phone and return phone calls. The general manager at the store is the most unhelpful, unpleasant, and unprofessional person I've ever dealt with. I found out directly from a Parker's employee that this Parker's location has been selling old lumber for a long time now, and the employees are aware of it. He stated that the lumber is not kept dry out back. Be very careful shopping at this location and make sure to inspect every board that you get. It's unfortunate that Ken Parker is not running this company anymore because it was not run like this when he was in charge.

The last helping us was named Diane, she helped us with our needs when we described what we had in mind. We were thinking of 12x12 or 20x20 square tiles. Diane brought us up to date on what the current trends were and we picked out a 12x24 white tile with hints of marbleing that wouldn't be slick when it was wet! She also helped with a grout to go with our floor and we were thinking very dark after what we went through on our last floor. Diane recommended a dark gray and we thought it would look good also! They came in on a Monday morning and got the old vinyl removed in short order. It wasn't long that the installer Johnny was laying the tile down! He finished late afternoon and said he would be back the next morning to do the grout after the mortar for the time had time to set. Johnny was back promptly at 8:30am the next morning and had the grout completed in no time at all!!! We are very, very happy with the way our new kitchen floor looks. I would highly recommend the folks at Porter's Carpet and Flooring! We had a great experience with them.
