Stop making my life so easy! I am not good with decisions, I am realllllly not good at interior…read moredesign and colors. I truly thought I was going to be here all day worrying about making the wrong decision. I walked in - the sweetest girl asked me a few questions and got me on the exact right flooring. She signed me up for the guys to come get all of the exact measurements - it was ridiculously easy, I was a little skeptical because it was too easy. While I was there a few other employees came and talked to me so it really seems like this place just has customer service figured out. Done! I think I was there maybe 15 minutes total. They win all of my business.

The manager of the Beaumont store, Erica, is very rude and indifferent. I bought the flooring and…read moreinstallation from LL flooring. The installers were late on day 2 of the installation. When I called the Beaumont LL Flooring to find out where they were, Erica basically told me that was not her problem and suggested I contact the installer who was contracted to do the work. Of course she prefaced this with she had just walked into the office at 9:15am. Prior to our conversation I had no idea who was hired to perform the installation. Erica provided me with the name and contact information of the company hired to do the installation, Dwight Construction Company (DCC). I talked to the manager, who quickly called me back after doing some checking and updated me. One would think, even from a customer service perspective, since I paid LL Flooring for the job, Erica as the manager of the local store would follow up on the whereabouts of the people they hired to perform the job. I received a better experience and response after calling the national office in North Carolina. The installers, from DCC, did an excellent job after some hiccups in the early stages of the installation. If this is the usual behavior of the local manager of LL Flooring, I will not recommend LL Flooring to any one.

I would not recommend them to anyone, and I would not use them ever again. I know you hear that…read moreindividuals in the construction industry/sub-contractors are all crooks and that this is a stereotype, but these people fit the bill and live up to that standard. They do good work actually, our floors and bathrooms look great, but they charge double what they say they will and slam you with the bill after everything is said and done. When we confronted them with this and asked for an itemized bill, all we heard was "the tile cost more than we thought", "we have to make money too", "we changed owners, and our labor rates went up despite what we contracted with you for", and "we can't give you an itemized bill". Basically it was a lot of BS, and the owner is just greedy. But we have told as many people in our area as we can to not go with them and saved quite a few people from also getting screwed over, so silver lining for others.

First, the employee who was supposed to come out and measure the job failed to show at the schedule time claiming that she couldn't find my house...yet she didn't wait until I got off work at 3:30 before turning around and heading back to work. A week later, she couldn't follow directions to find my place, but finally did show up. There was furniture in the room when it was measured, but the employee AND her manager failed to mention at that time that there would be a charge if we didn't move the furniture ourselves...instead, she called me when the installer arrived at my house to tell me that I was going to have to pay the charge or the carpet wouldn't be installed. I don't have a problem paying for the service, but feel that they should know their business well enough to actually inform people of all the charges when they are submitting a bid. The carpet was installed well and in a timely manner, but the installer managed to put SIX large gouges in my $3000 pool table when he moved it. When I took pictures and complained about it, he claimed that they had nothing to do with the damage. The pool table had been assembled in that room by the pool table company and had NEVER been moved, so not sure how else it could have happened.
