We'll be giving my honest review on this place. Will start off by saying dining area is clean and as well as where food is being served. Walked in to two very friendly works who where busy with orders but managing to fulfill the orders quick. When it was my turn to order they were very polite and served me well, also the servings on each items was A LOTTT and definitely nice to see. I ordered a any 4 items and got chowmein, fried rice, bbq chicken & Honey shimp. Here's my opinion on each item. Fried rice was good with a good amount of veggies (which I prefer) 8.5/10 Chow mien was also good, not amazing but still good 7.5/10 Bbq chicken i felt like some where very good then there was some that was a bit too cooked and dried up the chick but over all was very good 8.5/10 Nowww the honey shrimp was AMAZINGGGG outside was perfectly glazed and had an amazing crust surrounding the shrimp 10/10 on the honey shrimp. Overall I give this place a 8/10 would definitely come again if I need good food at a great price with great serving quantity!! read more

Great prices, open late, friendly staff, generous portions. The chow main and BBQ chicken are really good. The orange chicken is a bit too candy like for me, and yes I know that it is pretty much candy anywhere you go. I haven't tried much else. Onions and jalapeños on most everything else, not a fan. And the fried rice has pork in it. I'd love to see this place level up a bit, and I'd be in here all the time. I think they need to stand out a bit, not just with their prices, to compete with the other two Chinese places within just a couple blocks. I appreciate that they offer combo meals all day. I don't know why other places in town only have them during limited hours. I'm one person that wants a meal, not a huge portion of one item. No brainer. I also don't understand the idea of the takeout family meals, where they choose the dishes. Just let people choose what they want, right? They're not the only place that does this. In fact I think almost all Chinese places do this in Lodi. I still don't get it. This wasn't a thing where I grew up. I want to say that they have some growing to do, but since this is a "local" chain, I feel like they probably have a formula that they stick with. Another Chinese place was here before. They were ok. Took a long time with orders, and had weird menu limitations. I think that if Sherman's wants any kind of longevity here, they will need to adapt a bit. Pleasantly surprised with this buffet. Happy they had shrimp options and vegetable chow mein! They also had egg flour soup, fried green beans, crab rangoon. They seemed to have a lot of meat options. They kept up with the buffet so they didn't run out of items. The to-go plates were huge! The workers had great customer service. They also kept the buffet clean which I appreciated. I purposefully and intentionally don't leave terrible reviews- especially here in Lodi. Very, very rarely, I find myself unable to not leave a bad review and on top of that I've never left THIS bad of a review. This is that time. For cheap Chinese food, there are better options!! I will not be returning. I'd rather drive to Stockton than ever go back here. The food is mediocre at best, but that doesn't help anything at all. To say this place is disorganized would be the understatement of the century. The "take out" hot bar is open on both sides and is also the "buffet" on the opposite side facing customers. There's zero organization and zero care from employees. When we went in to order dinner there was someone paying and another couple in front of us ordering. Just before the couple finished ordering, a buffet customer rudely raised his voice at us to "MOVE" out of nowhere and then proceeded to push past us with his children to get to the buffet. He then spent 10+ minutes doing what I can only assume was purposeful, perusing the buffet as if it wasn't only 4.5 feet long in total and he didn't have people waiting behind him that he pushed out of the way. The employees chatted amongst themselves as if this is totally normal. It's not normal. When we finally got to look at the options for takeout after the rude guy finally decided to sit down, we felt rushed and like it was an issue that we were taking so long. We had no way of seeing what was available prior because the rude guy positioned himself on purpose directly in front of us. The lady who helped us knew that and still made us feel like there was a time limit we were exceeding to her detriment. RUDE. There's hardly any vegetables in any of the dishes and as far as protein goes, it's almost all chicken. The garlic chicken is good but not good enough to make us go back. We made our choices, paid, and left. We 100% will not return and i hope anyone reading this second guesses going in there as well. read more

Last night we had take out from this location for the third time and I must say it is amazing deal. You get so much food for so little money and it's tasty too. In this economy, I don't know what more anyone could want. I believe if you dine in and do the buffet, it's an even better deal. I have never had enough time to actually sit down and do that but you can see by the photos of my takeout, they give you more than enough food to bring home . The cartons are so jam-packed with food that they literally have to put rubber bands around the outside to get them closed. I can get two meals out of my $10 order. So far, the orange chicken has been my favorite and it's funny because I have a bag of orange chicken from the supermarket in my freezer that cost me $7. That doesn't taste anywhere near as good. Their sauce is absolutely delicious here. They also have good Garlic chicken and they even debone the chicken, so I don't have to worry about it. I do agree with some of the other reviewers the rice and chow mein are somewhat bland but if you don't want that, you can choose to get all entrees and no sides. I still get the chow mein because I like to have something to break up the meal and it tastes fine to me. We will definitely continue to patronize this location. It's cheaper and faster, tastes better and is a lot less clean up than cooking at home. The value is pretty much unbeatable. read more

I was craving beef chow fun noodles so I decided to give this place a try. I arrived a little after 3pm so they had to make more since they ran out after the buffet lunch. The lady at the register was friendly. For $9.95 they packed my container with my order. Once I got home to try it, I could tell that they did not use a clean grill to make my food. The whole thing had a bitterness to it. Also, I had to spit out a bite because it tasted like something went bad. Not what I was expecting. Not a lot of sliced beef in it either. I won't be returning here for Beef Chow Fun again but may try the lunch buffet which ends at 3pm. read more

Great place to go for Americanized Chinese food. You can eat their buffet in or do takeaway if you want leftovers. Orange Chicken...sorry Panda, Sherman's is better. Spicy dishes very good. Broccoli beef...really good. Chow Mein and Rice prob the weakest dishes but still good. Super friendly lady at the counter. We did the "3 For" takeaway. She couldn't have stuffed any more food in our containers. Great value, tasty food, friendly service, a great go. Only regret is they do Chow Fun only at lunch. If the other food is an indication, Chow Fun should be really good. Next trip will do lunch and Chow Fun for sure. read more

Our only complaints are: 1) The hot mustard comes in a packet and had NO heat to it at all, and 2) The food, all of it, had no taste. Bland. It's hard to believe that a greasy spoon Chinese take out gets a 5 star review but this one comes close. The food here is similar to their other locations in Stockton. The dining area is smaller but the prices and menu are the same. They recently opened and there was a familiar face that I used to see at their Pershing Ave. location. Super friendly service and quick to overstuff your takeout tray until they barely close. The food is a great value for the price. I'd be lying if I told you the quality is on par with a sit down restaurant because it's not. I went in to do the dinner buffet for 11.00 and it did not disappoint. The one dollar difference for dinner is well worth it because they have salt and pepper and a deep fried mayo covered shrimp that rivals any sit down restaurant.
