The Dog8 Grill and Snack bar has an alternating menu offering gourmet food and beers by the can. The fields are decently maintained and the staff is friendly and easy to work with. The park is beautiful, workers were very nice, there is a playground for kids, and the team won. The second visit was a hot, sweaty, expensive waste of time. Again family was visiting from KS and a game sounded like fun. Driving to the game it rained but stopped by the time we got there. We met local family and entered the park finding out there was a rain delay. No problem. We took the 4 children under 6 to the playground where they had fun. We got some food and waited since they were unhooking the tarp. We then realized they were only half heartedly moving the water off the tarp and asked if the game would in fact be cancelled. The reply we got inferred that it would more than likely be cancelled. Since there were no announcements indicating when or if the game would take place, we decided it would be too difficult to keep waiting and at this point (2.5 hours after the originally planned start time) we left. The woman at the gate told my husband we could use the tickets for a future game or games since we paid. We later found out the game began an hour after we left which was still too late for us to have kept 4 children entertained and happy, but now we were also out the cost of 8 tickets (the 2 2year olds were free). Thinking twice about attending another game. At least the ice cream at Cruze was good.

The exhibits are diverse and many hands on touch this or that ability. There were some dated videos of the Appalachian culture but honestly it gave it an appeal and definitely a time gone by. The exhibits and explanation of the Manhattan project were very interesting. All of us walked away learning a lot about oak ridge and that era around world war 2. We spent a good two hours in the museum and didn't read it all, we happened to be walking in right before a school group of 30 little kids and parents. Initially it was loud but there was enough space that we didn't have to be around all the chaos real little kids bring. Some of the exhibits were geared for smaller kids but our 2nd grader had no problem enjoying the experience. I mean who doesn't love a "doll house" that has two levels, For the price and exhibits I would suggest it to anyone especially if you have a history buff in your family.

They have a pretty big life-sized doll house, which was very cool along with old relics of dolls etc from different eras. They have a water room where the kids can send floating boats down a make believe lock at the dam. At the end, they have a train room that is pretty cool with towns all lit up and a train going throughout them.. very cool place. Very neat place. $8.00 for adults $7.00 for seniors aged 62+ and children under 3 are free.

After years serving as a movie theater,…read moreit's become a "real" theater again, thanks to local initiative and the generosity of the church that owns the building (and uses other parts of it for church services and Sunday school). The stage that was hidden behind the movie screen for many years has been exposed once again and is used for concerts and other performances. It's not exactly Carnegie Hall, but the acoustics seem to be OK, the refurbished seats are fairly comfortable -- and there are plenty of them (several hundred -- I'm not sure how many the auditorium holds), and the spacious lobby is a good place for mingling during intermission.
