We have been to the park twice; one great visit and one not so much. The first time we went we brought a relative visiting from CT, met family there, and had fun. The park is beautiful, workers were very nice, there is a playground for kids, and the team won. The second visit was a hot, sweaty, expensive waste of time. Again family was visiting from KS and a game sounded like fun. Driving to the game it rained but stopped by the time we got there. We met local family and entered the park finding out there was a rain delay. No problem. We took the 4 children under 6 to the playground where they had fun. We got some food and waited since they were unhooking the tarp. We then realized they were only half heartedly moving the water off the tarp and asked if the game would in fact be cancelled. The reply we got inferred that it would more than likely be cancelled. Since there were no announcements indicating when or if the game would take place, we decided it would be too difficult to keep waiting and at this point (2.5 hours after the originally planned start time) we left. The woman at the gate told my husband we could use the tickets for a future game or games since we paid. We later found out the game began an hour after we left which was still too late for us to have kept 4 children entertained and happy, but now we were also out the cost of 8 tickets (the 2 2year olds were free). Thinking twice about attending another game. At least the ice cream at Cruze was good. read more

We always have a good time at Smokies games. A few things have changed since we came last year. First of all, they are now a cashless stadium, even for parking. Secondly, they have gotten rid of the free playground in the kids area (over by section 101). It is now a $6 band for each child to use several bounce houses until they close prior to 8th inning. Our kids loved this, but I wish we had known that we should have them wear socks. They have to leave shoes over by the sidewalk and navigate barefoot on the hot ground and rubber mulch. Their feet were pretty gnarly after the game. A plus, they now let parents bring booze over to the kid area. It was a blessing. ha! We also erroneously thought our (3rd row from top-section 107) seats would be shaded for a 7 pm game. Nope. First 3 innings were in brutal sun. I recommend sections 110 and up if you want shade for evening games. Still lots of areas in the concourse to grab shade, if needed. The food and drink costs are pretty standard. The best deals are definitely the hot dogs and nacho chips/cheese. I would avoid the dry pulled pork and the watery frozen booze slushies next time. The soft serve in a souvenir cap is over by the kids area and totally worth it. We had a great time, capped off with fireworks! read more

Awesome place, awesome time! Lost 11-0 . Member: not a member, but passing by guest. Really enjoyed myself super energetic and fun. Food/Drink: plenty of concession stands with food and drink. Plenty of snacks and booze. Dinning Area: no real establish dining area, plenty of standing room. Prices: it depends on what you get, but a lot cheaper than the big leagues. Parking: Plenty of space, private lot. And a back lot for larger vehicles and possible storage if members need it. Bathrooms: Bathrooms are large, and smell fresh and clean most days. Plenty of stocked papers, soaps, and such. Atmosphere: Is a super friendly and family oriented environment! Staff/Attendants: all the staff were very attentive, a little offputting, because they were so good at their jobs. No small talk, but the characters and the hype people were awesome really got the crowd into it. Absolutely great place to be! 10/10 read more

I went to the Smokies game last night. The game was good even though they lost. One annoying thing was that fan etiquette was nonexistent. People were up and down all night, not waiting for a break in the action. For people not behind the net, this was dangerous. The in game entertainment left a lot to be desired. Sound effects that made no sense when played is just one. If I heard dilly dilly one more time, I probably would have thrown up. For being a AA affiliate, I thought the field would have been in better shape. Lastly, it is very expensive. The concession stand prices were high. Living in Frederick, MD I attended many Frederick Keys games (High A) and it was a much better experience. I will go back for the baseball, not for the experience. read more

Great ballpark, but it needs to be said that if you're not paying attention, you'll definitely miss it from the highway. It is COMPLETELY COVERED from the trees. I mean, it IS in Tennessee after all. However, again, once there it's a great ballpark. It has a decent sized shop for a AA league team. Got to see them play the Chattanooga Lookouts, so pretty cool. Wow. Such a great family affair. I decided to make the trek up to Knoxville to see a Smokies game and fireworks. From the moment you enter till the moment you leave the staff treats you like family. The staff is very polite and has everything running like clockwork. I saw trash people and vendors running operations like they had been there twenty years or more. Bham take a hint. The food selection was great too. Chicken, Pizza, hot dogs and alcohol/liquor from a mason jar are all possibilities. You should not leave hungry or thirsty. I was glad to see a new stadium and be part of a great game. read more

Came here for a yelp event and we were spoiled at the luxury level. We had cushioned seats for the game, and a buffet with drinks! As for the food, I was addicted to the fresh popcorn because who doesn't love fresh popcorn? The food sucked though. There's a new chef with a new menu and everything was gross. The chicken looked frozen, the rice and veggies were overcooked and soggy. Everyone went for the hot dogs because you can't really mess that up. The cookies were decent too since they were soft. I heard Tom and chee was here last year but it's not anymore. I'm surprised it wasn't a hit. I would go for a grilled cheese sandwich during a game. I guess everyone enjoys the normal junk food - pretzels, popcorn, nuts and hot dogs. On my way to the luxury level, all of the staff were so friendly! I had my first experience at a Smokies Game! I was so impressed with the staff all the way from the parking lot to inside the stadium. First, the gentle who parked us allowed my wife and I to have "special" parking because it was our first time at a Smokies game. The second incident with staff that really stood out to me was a man working one of the beer stands. My wife and I purchased the mason jar and a beer,which came out to $20 but the card machine was down and we only had $15 cash on us so he let us have two jars and two beers for $15. We had driven by the Smokies baseball field many times, tonight we decided that we would see a game. It is a beautiful park very clean and lots of parking , they are a minor league team, tonight they were playing, Birmingham Barons. We had great seats lower level right behind home plate, the views were beautiful we could see everything. We were very fortunate and the gentleman behind us had the radar gun testing the speed of the pitch, never saw that before. There were a lot of concession stands on the main level with good food and drinks. The weather was perfect for a baseball game nice and cool, The game had extra innings so it was exciting to see who was going to win, unfortunately we did not win but it was close. There was a nice surprise after the game was finished they had a fantastic display of fireworks that was beautiful. For my first baseball game experience here it was wonderful and I will be sure to try to hit another one. read more

I was invited to a party in a sweet up top. We received preferred parking for having a sweet. The staff is very friendly. I don't know the pricing because everything was free for us because of the party. The stadium is clean and easy to navigate. The reason for the 4 starts is, getting out of that parking lot is terrible. The police usually hold up traffic to let people out of the game but, if you're on the other end of the traffic or at the light, you'll be waiting a long while to move anywhere. Edit: I was invited to another suite party this year! I dropped another star because the drinks are crazy expensive for very little drinks, the bartenders weren't interested in us. read more

Beautiful ballpark to come to. Fun family thing to go and do when staying in Pigeon Forge. Tickets are cheap but you do have to pay $5 to park and program cost $1. A lot of different places to eat inside the ballpark. They have different promotions every night, just check their Facebook page or team website. It's truly a friendly baseball park. America's friendliest, they say. I love going to the Smokies games. It's probably best to eat before you go because the food is overpriced but I suppose that is to be expected. Be prepared to have a blast leaving when the game is over. Slight sarcasm, there. I go every year for the Independence Day celebration. This year the fireworks seemed a bit short. I think something happened to them. It's always a good time though. I was there in 2014 when it went to 16 innings. Bless their hearts! The fans were tired and we gave in and cheered for the Biscuits to get a run so we could finally see some fireworks and go home. First time to see the Smokies and probably won't go again. I am not a huge baseball fan, however, we were there for a company setting, not just sitting in the bleachers. We had a private suite and there was a lot of room until everyone showed up. Then it was a bit tight. The suite looked out over the field, but you had to be near the windows or go outside on the deck seating in order to view the game. The announcers kept people's attention with games and videos. The food ran out early and some had to wait for more. Overall, it was OK and I'm sure those who are fans think much higher, however, I can only comment on the experience we had. read more

The nachos, however, looked heinous -- I actually enjoy those gross stadium "nachos" occasionally, but these had waaaay too much polyurethane for my taste. I have been coming to the Smokies' games for the last 8 years or so. They are one of my very favorite summer things to do. It's a great stadium that truly doesn't have a bad seat in the house. Ticket prices are really reasonable and even the cheapest of the cheap seats are pretty decent. If you keep up with the schedule, they offer several fun nights. They also offer $1 hot dog nights and on Friday nights after the game, they put on a great fireworks display. Not the best beer selection, but adequate. The concessions are your standard baseball game fare. There is something magical about soft serve served in a small, plastic baseball cap. The stadium staff are friendly and seem to enjoy their jobs. There is a kids sections with games and a bounce house to take the little ones when the excitement of the baseball game wears off. Oooooh, and if you catch the weather just perfectly, the sunsets from the stadium are unreal. read more

I've been to a couple of games here and have had a great time. The staff is friendly and they have a ton of different vendors to buy whatever you may want. They keep the crowd entertained during the games. There is usually a $5 parking fee which I think the city provides. If you're looking for something to do with the kids or a date night this is the perfect spot. read more

I'm not a fan of the faux "hillbilly hospitality" vibe they go for but the field is great and they seem to have great crowds. It's odd to see promos of painfully bad knockoffs of Vegas style entertainment being displayed on the video board. Having gone to several games here now I highly recommend going to this great family friendly baseball park. The staff, from the ticket sales, to the concessions, to the players themselves are friendly and let you know they are glad that you are there. They have a great kids play are for the times when then kiddos get bored with the game which we all know will happen at some point. The concessions/food is great...they have the usual ball park fare as well as some added upgrades with "Calhoun's at the Yard" now. The Pro Shop is open year round and is very nice with a good variety of souvenirs. If you are not looking to spend a ton they offer great souvenirs in the form of mini helmets filled with the most delicious soft serve ice cream, don't pass that up! read more

First time going to a game this past August while we were at Norris Lake and really enjoyed the atmosphere. Plus we are from Chicago and once we realized that the Smokies are an affiliate of the Cubs we definitely had to go. We sat by some extremely nice people who we spoke to through out the game. We ended up buying tickets off those people outside the gates for half the price plus they included a free hotdog and beer (or soda pop). It was just a great overall experience and hopefully in the next year my husband and I will be moving to the Knoxville area and will be able to experience even more games! read more

Our family loves attending a Tennessee Smokie's games. This AA MLB affiliate of the Chicago Cub's offers a front row seat to get up and close and personal with some of the Cubbie's up- and-comers. We've watched the now famous Kyle Schwarber shuffle out of the dugout just feet away more than once. It is a great small venue baseball stadium. The food options are excellent for a minor league team. Friday night games include a surprisingly sophisticated fireworks show, and the drinks are free flowing. took in a game last night we were in town. spur of the moment. memorial day game and had p-47's for the flyover (awesome!) the workers were very pleasant and so were the fans. found out about a place to try next time we are in town. dollar hot dogs made the lines long early but other than that very good. we (3 of us) got in for ubder $30 8 rows up. don't forget to go to their shop. much bigger than the triple a zephyrs shop. prices are better too. plus they don't have a nutria for their mascot. entertainment between every inning. and we were lucky enough to see the fireworks show after which was very good.a little traffic getting out but to be expected. read more
