Went here with a large group for a "goodbye" Party. Service was very attentive, our server spoke perfect English. The place has a great cozy atmosphere and comfortable seats. They have tons of different tapas and also set menus. All reasonably priced and everything was delicious. My favorite tapas were the potatas bravas, the bacon wrapped plums, and the goat cheese with honey. Definitely recommend this place! read more

Good tapas, excellent sherry and port wines, very pleasant place Tucked away in a quiet, residential area with stately homes. There's actually a small park right in front and S&P serves under the shade trees around the fountain in Summer months. This is truly a peaceful place to hang loose. Indoors the ambiance is "rustikal". Tapas are always good. Strong selection of sherries and ports. Normal wine list is OK if unspectacular. They occasionally have very small music ensembles. S&P is an awesome place for a relaxing chill-out good Spanish, and a few drinks. A bit less pretentious than places up the hill on Taunsstrasse. Highly recommended. read more

This little restaurant is the best place to hit up on a hot summer day. They set up tables in the shade of the park and cushions around a small fountain. Its good for a lunch, early day cold drink, or ice cream. The atmosphere is perfect for a date or even just a nice meet up with friends. The staff is fast, attentive, and always friendly. Very much a local bar and I want to love this place because I live so close however, it seems the establishment tends to like their local clients much better than outsiders. We were able to order a beer at the bar but when we say at the bar we were told the spot was reserved and it was 45 min over the reservation time. There were several large groups and we stood outside not smoking and the door was opened but immediately closed. Maybe call and make a reservation is the moral of the story. Given the reviews I must have dined on a bad night. My co-worker and I went here based on Trip Advisor and Yelp reviews and it being close to our hotel. Unfortunately it didn't come close to meeting expectations. When we arrived the waiter told us no seats were available but we were "#1 on the waiting list". After waiting for 45 minutes a local couple arrived, greeted the waiter in a very familiar way, and was seated immediately. After another 15 minutes we were given the opportunity to sit next to the couple that was seated before us. They ended up being pretty rude thinking that we didn't understand German. After our meal, which was mediocre at best (other than the meat and cheese plate they don't serve authentic tapas), the waiter was quick to point out that we needed to leave a tip. When he saw what he was being given he asked if there "was a problem." When we told him about the seating and meal his response was an unapologetic "that's ridiculous". Very strange reaction unless you are only catering to locals. That's fine...I understand, but as a business traveler I won't be back. On the plus side the wine pours were generous. In hindsight we should have left when they said they were full and sat us (actually put us standing) next to the servers' station. Lesson learned. read more
