Her appointment was at 1pm, and we were greeted once we entered the door. We were able to remove our shoes and help ourselves with a basket of different sized slippers. The stylist had already picked out some dresses for my friend to try as they emailed each other days before of the kind of style my friend was interested in. All the dresses were super nice and beautiful, the stylist was very knowledgeable in all the dresses my friend tried on. I have a bit of a short timeframe before my wedding so I was a little nervous, but they had a huge selection of sample dresses (mostly bridal size 12). I saw one that I absolutely loved which was also within my budget so I just knew I had to make an appointment to come back! The day of my appointment, I suddenly had to push up my appointment time but they were very accommodating. My consultant was Monica and she was so friendly and she really made me feel at ease. It was like It was really nice that she also tried to engage my entourage while I was changing. The changing room is very spacious with good lighting and I loved the dramatic curtain open for the dress reveal! I also liked how they also let you walk to the front near the windows to see it in natural lighting as colour is fairly important to me. Monica was so patient, I never felt rushed or pressured. I had tried on so many dresses that day, and it was a little overwhelming as it was also my 3rd appointment of the day so I decided to take some time to think about it. I went back the next week after narrowing it down between 2 dresses from 2 different stores and felt like I needed to retry them. I'm so lucky to get Monica again, I felt like she was really trying to help me find MY dress instead of just trying to sell to me. She gave me options for alterations for the other dress I liked from the other store and even let me tried on something similar, which really helped me decide! My two friends and I arrived just a few minutes early for our appointment and weren't greeted in a welcoming way. When a consultant approached us, she called me by the wrong name and seemed confused about who I was, even though they had called the day before to confirm my appointment. There was very little effort to help us find dresses. When we said nothing had caught our eye, she simply pointed to a small section in my size with about ten dresses. I tried on one dress just to give it a chance, but the experience felt very rushed and impersonal. I was placed in a tiny change room, given no help with the dress, and there was no pedestal or proper viewing area, my bridesmaids were sitting on plastic chairs outside the fitting room. It honestly felt more like a big-box store change room than a bridal appointment. When I said the dress wasn't for me, there was no conversation or attempt to continue the appointment. Our one-hour appointment ended after about 10 minutes. This was by far the worst bridal shopping experience I had. Thankfully, I had previously visited another boutique where the experience was wonderful, and that's where I ended up saying yes to my dress.

Most of their dresses are long sleeved, high-necked and fully lined. They have a few armless ones as well. They also have a selection of Abayas, Afghan Wear, Hijabs and Kaftans. The owners are super accommodating and I never feel pressured. I made a few visits and tried on over 6 gowns before making a final decision. They have a spacious fitting room. Their gowns are typically formal, price ranges are from $200-$300 for something really extravagant. They have an on-site tailor (extra charge) that can make adjustments to dress. I've had a hem done by him and he did a great job. I've lived in TO all my life and I don't think I've ever seen a store with so much beautiful dresses (that aren't an Indian style) that can accommodate a modest person. I will be visiting again! PS This is place is a regular store... they are NOT appointment only (as mentioned in the business profile)
