I'm handicapped and I often call first to see if they have what I need, in stock; every time I've called, any staff I've spoken to, hardware, garden center, etc., have all been exceptionally helpful and I appreciate all of their great assistance! I'm so thankful for this big box store in Athens, TN and their staff, otherwise, we'd be having to travel to another big box store in Lenior City or Maryville. Thank You Lowe's!

One of my favorite things about this Lowe's is that they take their dog friendly reputation to new heights. So many staff carry treats and fuss over our pets so much that I swear it's a great place to socialize dogs and it helps with training. When I need advice, they help. When I make the 4th trip of the day for a minor project, they chuckle with me. When I need cheap (distressed) plants, well frankly they could give me a little better discount from time to time. Their military and veteran discount breeds loyalty from me, and I've watched the folks at the return desk deal with some rude customers with class and kindness.

It's preparation that is important is what they will tell you here. I always get their primers, especially oil base for outside bare wood which is what they recommend. Then, put on a final coat of satin or semi-gloss latex paint which is what they have taught me. They have lots of paint Accesories to do the hard job of painting like caulk, paint thinner, brushes, masking tape, roller covers, drop cloths, HD roller frames, other painting supplies to get the job done. They also have industrial oil base paint here for rougher floors outside and etc. Anyway, you ask Sherwin Williams and you can trust their advice here. I do recommend them. You can bring in a chip or sample of a color you need and they will match it by placing it on a machine that they have here. I don't how it works, but it does a great job. Just Ask Sherwin Williams. Their customer service is excellent here about the best I've seen when needing paint.
