He made lots of good recommendations to us based on our situation and gave us some good advice for when we would be taking on the jobs. He was a joy to work with, and we didn't even buy anything on that visit. When we walked in the next day, he was there again, and he was still very helpful with everything, but his shift ended before we were ready to check out. The other gentleman who assisted us from that point on was fine, but not quite as above-and-beyond as Matthew was.

I've lived in the area for 10 years and have gone into this store several times over the years, and the experience is similar even with different staff members. I realize they get busy, but a simple acknowledgement of that they will be with me shortly would be nice. Once I am able help, it's like they can't wait to finish and get back to whatever it is they're doing, vs. trying to make sure I have what I needed or all my questions answered. I think the pandemic has worsened customer service in general, but for this store it seems the norm. I decided to give it one more try recently and had the exact same experience, so I plan to shop elsewhere now even if this place is 5 minutes from where I live.

Price: Unbeatable!!! This store was about $15 less than all the other stores in my area. Not only were they cheaper, they gave me a painter's discount and a free t-shirt... They don't try to upsell you nor trick you into buying things you don't need. You can ask a million and one questions and they will answer them all and still leave you with some genius advice you never thought of.
