Is it smaller and there for does not have everything they have? yes. BUT It carries what a good hardware store needs so long as you're not turning your back yard into a recreation of the Atlantic Wall. It is easy to reach and best of all, it has staff who can help you. The brand slogan is 'ace is the place for the helpful hardware man' and they live up to it. While finding an orange vested helped at home depot is becoming akin to finding the lost grail the staff here are helpful, easy to find and available all of which makes such trips so much easier. It does not have a big garden center for plants and the like but it is a hardware store that is easy to reach, well stocked and staffed by knowledgeable friendly people, do you really need much more?

My review was taken down by the owner and yelp said the following "We're reaching out to let you know that our moderators removed the review you posted to Fisher's Ace Hardware because it didn't look like your content depicted an experience at this location." My experience was at this location as well as i have a receipt to prove my experience was at this location. Nice try but will keep leaving the same review to warn other people to prevent them from being scammed by the con artist that runs this place. Not to mention after the review he messaged me trying to defend himself for ripping people off to make a profit. Kinda pathetic.

They really go the extra mile when it comes to customer service. Stanley's is the classic small business the neighborhood wants to keep in place for their needs big and small. I've been blessed that I haven't had too many emergencies in my house but knowing a Stanley's run can be done quick sets my mind at ease. The best I can do to support them is to continue to visit in those non-emergency moments like when I need a key made or a small piece of hardware.

Last week they went above and beyond, clearly deserving of media mention. Last summer I purchased a Weber Grill. I immediately had an issue with the casters not working. I called Ernie who dispatched his crew to retrieve the grill and try to fix it. It was missing many screws and one of the casters had fallen off. The crew brought back the grill, supposedly fixed but I have had difficulty with the same casters since last year. They will lock in place, and not stay unlocked thus making it almost impossible to move my grill. Finally, last week one of the casters just broke off entirely. This was two days before my July Fourth cookout. I called Ernie back and he immediately remembered me and dispatched another crew to assess the situation . When the crew arrived, they realized they would again have to take the grill back to the shop. A few hours later I got a call from Mike asking me if I wanted to have the repair done by Weber under the warranty or if I wanted them to try to put on new casters. I told them to put on universal casters because I did not want the same casters from Weber. A few hours later I got a call from Mike telling me the repair was complete and could they drop off the grill. I said sure and how much did I owe them. I was then informed I didn't owe them anything. I cannot thank them enough. I especially want to shout out Ernie, Mike and the owners , Mark and Alex Jaconski who run an exceptional business.

The store is highly organized and offers a surprisingly wide array of items for its size. What truly distinguishes it, however, is its staff. They are knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely helpful. Walking in with a problem, they'll help you think through the best solution. Often, the advice alone makes the trip worthwhile, with the purchase being a bonus. In an age where almost everything can be ordered instantly online, places like this still play an essential role. Some issues require judgment and experience, not just a quick online search. The team here clearly knows their craft and is happy to share their expertise. What I especially value is their honesty. They never try to pressure you into buying unnecessary items. If they don't carry what you need, they'll tell you and often point you toward where to find it. Such confidence and integrity are rare. While large stores like Home Depot have vast inventories, for smaller or specialized items, especially related to older Center City homes, this store is often the better choice. Prices are fair, and the quality of guidance enhances the overall value. It's evident that this store is run with pride, care, and years of expertise. It has genuine character, and I hope the neighborhood appreciates it as much as I do. I'm always impressed when I visit. Thank you!

It must be hard to be in the hardware business at this location, but it provides a good option for when you need something in a hurry and don't want to go all the way to Doylestown or Quakertown. Someone from around there told me this used to be a grocery store years ago. The location is great, but the parking is a little tight. They claim that being 3" narrower is "within spec" and maybe a result of the fabric pulling it narrower. The fabric!?! Pulling a wooden frame in 3"?!? An absurb dodge to avoid their cost to rebuild the sofa as specified. Sheffield did not stand behind the contract that they signed to deliver quality furniture.
