Our interior walls are "Alabaster" in a satin finish, my husband went and bought an additional gallon of the same color & same finish to do some touch ups before a party we have on Saturday (both stickers on the can and lid say alabaster satin) when I seen the areas my husband touched up, I immediately noticed the paint we were given was a brighter white and was very glossy. He thought it was due to it being wet, so we decided to let it dry to see if it would blend, but no this photo was taken 24hours later and I'm 100% certain we were given the wrong paint color. This is beyond upsetting. My husband will have to call out of work to fix this before Saturday. And we can't find our receipt, so I'm hoping they'll at least correct their mistake. Adrian was so helpful and friendly. I had to return because they forgot to give me one of the many samples I had purchased. On my return, I had them do a color match of my Anderson screen frame. It was matched perfectly! Adrian went above and beyond by offering to put the sample on a larger board to help me visualize it! He also offered to help me bring my items to the car. I was looking for a place to recycle old paint and came across Sherwin-Williams. After calling to confirm, I loaded up the alotted quantity and headed over. Edgar and his associate were super friendly and helped me unload my trunk. I shared that I had quite a bit more and Edgar told me I could bring more tomorrow, but cautioned that it filled up quick. I am thankful that Sherwin-Williams offers this service and will be buying all of my paint from them in the future, as opposed to the large home improvement stores, who have much larger staffs and probably could offer this service to help protect our environment. I normally come here for my paint but today I walked in to an empty store with only 2 employees sitting looking at their computers. I asked for help finding a paint color and the woman absolutely refuse to help. She keep telling me I need to go find the color and I said yes but you were here can't you tell me where I should start to look??? She kept telling me that I needed to look at which point I said now I know why this place is empty she was snarky to never go back again ever had better luck with Lowell's. The employee was so rude I walked out. He told me they were out of quart sizes and suggested I buy gallons because they were "priced about the same anyway" but would not tell me the exact cost difference when I asked him. He tried to up sell me to their higher quality gallons because their middle of the line brand would "just get the job done." I became suspicious that he was trying to price gouge me so I asked when they would get more quarts in and he suggested I go to a different store.....which is exactly what I did. Had I not already had a color picked out, I would have gone to a completely different vendor. I had a much better experience at the Los Alamitos store, if it wasn't for them I would have been done with Sherwin Williams forever. read more

I never give a bad review, but our experience here was not good to say the least. We asked for a bucket and explained we were just doing a standard bedroom for a nursery. The guy working there kept trying to upsale everything. He charged us an obscene amount and then rolled out a HUGE bucket of paint. When we explained we didn't need that much, he was not happy and insisted we asked for a bucket and should have said "gallon",Long story short, we got the paint and apparently it was not mixed well. The borders came out dark and the walls came out light. We have to repaint the room now. read more

"I ususally shop at the Sherwin Williams on Willow and have always had good service there. Today I went to this store on Bellflower as it is closer to my house. I had a question regarding using their A-100 acrylic primer on James Hardie siding. I had almost a full gallon left from a job that I completed last month. I asked the sales rep if this was the correct primer for use on this type of siding and if he could recommend a patching compound for the nail holes. The first question that he asked was what was my "price point" -I told him that I only needed primer as I already had the Sherwin WIlliams paint that was matched to my house. He told me that the A-100 primer was contractor grade paint and wasn't as good as the all in one product that they had at $56 a gallon... Again I tried to explain that I had paint, I was asking about primer. At this point he started to "Mansplain" to me about the different uses for the products and that I was wasting time with primer and then paint... I tried to explain that the siding is factory primed but I wanted to fill nail holes/defects and then reprime and then paint with the matching paint that I already had (also Sherwin Williams). At this point he copped and attitude and told me that I was asking for his professional advice and he would go get his manager to speak with me if I didn't want to accept his advice. At first I tried to defuse the situation, but he turned heels to go to the back of the store. I had already read the product spec's for both the paint and the siding...I was just there to ask about the best primer to use and I do not appreciate the attitude when I ask a valid question about a product, and telling a customer that A-100 primer is an inferior product doesn't bode well for future sales." read more

The Manager, Brieanna, has trained her crew well, and I would guess that her training is by example. She's very helpful, kind and patient. As the first time I'm having my house painted, I had a lot of questions. I'm thankful to her and her crew for helping me and my family make our selections wisely. read more

My husband, my 4yo son, and I walked into SW last night (11/8/17) at 6:45pm (they close at 7). I felt bad walking in right before they close but my son had tball practice and we thought just a quick grab of some paint chips would be good (we have to paint our whole interior (4 bedrooms, living room, den, etc). We were graciously greeted by Maria who made sure we knew she was available for questions. She came over to us and gave us her opinion on paint choices and helped us pick some great colors. She advised us to get some samples to try at home, telling us lighting makes a difference. She really cared about us. We are definitely going back to buy a few 5 gallon tubs. She even let my son feel like he was involved (he talks a lot and likes to feel included). Most places make us feel rushed when about to close but she really cared. I just had the worst customer service experience here. I have an account with Sherwin-Williams and I came back to get more of the exact same paint (5galons) - the lady at the counter said if I wanted to pay the same price I had to go to the same Sherwin-Williams store in OC. Zero stars if I could. I was excited for a location opening very close to my house as we are in the midst of renovations and have already spent $1,000+ dollars at this franchise. But I just went in to return an extra can of glossy moulding paint, and the lady wouldn't take it because they don't "carry that kind of Sherwin Williams paint" she said. She kept saying they were Frazee, which I understand- but don't open as a Sherwin Williams if you can't offer full Sherwin Williams customer service. Then she claimed the can had a small dent so they wouldn't take it at any location, but she told me to go back to where I bought it and ask. I'm disappointed I've spent so much at a franchise, and can't even return one $50 can of paint. It's been difficult to even access my "color profile" at different Sherwin Williams locations because they don't all have the same system, but that's a review for another time. This location needs to get it together and offer better customer service. I'm switching to Benjamin Moore for the rest of the house. read more
