We went to the (empty) store asking about wallpaper and the salesperson couldn't have been less helpful. He threw a few books at us, muttered something and scurried away. We ended up finding what we wanted and made a purchase. We were then told it was backordered - which is fine. After waiting 4+ weeks, we would call asking for updates. When we did, we were told someone would get back to us and they didn't. The salesperson, was equally as before the sale as he was afterwards didn't exactly help the situation either. After a week past the initial 4 week estimate, we requested a refund and went to Wallpaper Warehouse in Farmingdale, where our experience has been the complete opposite.

I ended up not going with tile here as the dye lots were all different and it made me very nervous. I did, however, buy their line of LVP, NuCore in Gunstock oak and I cannot wait for my contractor to put it in my laundry floor and eventually my basement. Seems to have a strong living system and is so beautiful. My warning if you are to get tile is to inspect all before you bring home. Just seeing the variance of the shades in the dye lots scared me enough to not move forward with the tile. LVP isn't so bad as wood naturally has different shades and it's meant to look that way. 4 stars for excellent customer service and clean store. Also, I am excited to use my LVP Pro tip: go on their website and use their AI tool before going to the store. We did that the second time around and it wasn't as overwhelming. The prices here are really excellent compared to other tile places but I think due to the dye lot differences. LVP seemed like a great value

Secondly the store is full of well placed accessories, everything you could need. Its like a toy store for the DIY crowd. Its clean and inviting. I was painting my son's house 14 miles from this store and ran out of paint. I went to a local store to get the Benjamin Moore paint I needed. It was way more money. That store said prices vary. Yes they do. This store is now my go to and having just bought a townhouse condo that needs complete interior painting, this store will see alot of me. Thank you.

But then there's places like Costello's and perhaps they don't have lumber (I could be wrong on this) or a huge selection of power tools (they have a decent selection, don't get me wrong) but they have heart and soul and really great staff! And hot tubs! We recently popped in here for a Father's Day gift after the sticker shock on those good flashlights that require a battery that costs more than the flashlight itself (because you use this battery on other power tools, but my father would only need it for the battery). There was someone to help us and also let us know that we had just missed a good sale but that they do rotating sales regularly etc, so check back. We ended up with a Leatherman instead but these apparently go on sale, too. The point is that they have good sales and I'd come back here any day before I stepped foot into a Home Depot. Also because I like admiring hot tubs and thinking back to when I had a hot tub and real winters.

We ended up speaking with Vito, he was awesome. Not only did he calculate exactly what we needed, but gave us a couple of ideas on different materials. My sister's walkway was done before July 4th, she was so happy with the work and impressed with Vito's knowledge that we had to call Vito the following Friday so we can order more material to redo part of her backyard. Century respects their Veterans and I implore any and all of my veteran brothers and sisters to give Century a try. They have a wide variety of materials to use for all sorts of projects.
