Our contractor recommended us going to Ferguson. It is conveniently located in Hicksville. It is recommended to make an appointment which is available during the week only. Due to our schedules, we had to go on a Saturday. You can walk in from 10am-5pm and the appointments are first come first service. Make sure you call for the house as there is a service counter hours and showroom hours and they differ. We had to wait about 30-45 minutes after we arrived and it wasn't too bad since we explored the showroom during the waiting time to get an idea of what we wanted. We also had our 3 month old who enjoyed the laps around the showroom for a snooze. We met with Carlos who reviewed our list of items and gave us ideas in our price range. He understood our style and budget. We appreciated his help and printing out our options so we were about to show our contractor. read more

I will first say that this review is only a reflection of the showroom, not the gentlemen in the parts department. I was the only customer in the showroom, with perhaps 5 or 6 employees. I hoped to gain information about a bathroom sink faucet, possibly more than 1. I was essentially pushed out the door and told that any information could be attained on the website. I had the misfortune of working with Annie Panico who I was recommended to by someone I respect. I finally had gotten an appointment and worked with her for 2 hours the first time. We picked out some things for a small primary bathroom. During the appointment, I told her that I wanted a recessed medicine cabinet and probably sconces for each side of it. I was picking out more expensive faucets, etc. so I specifically told Annie that I wanted those 2 items to be inexpensive. She showed me a medicine cabinet in the showroom and sconces from a book. She told me to review everything on build.com. I scheduled a 2nd appointment for about a week or so later before I left the store. When I went on Build, I found out that the medicine cabinet was over $400. and the inexpensive sconces she picked out was $1100. for the pair. Maybe to some these prices are not expensive, but to me it was. I called twice to say something but no reply from Annie. When I came in for the second appointment, Annie greeted me with "nice to meet you and how can I help?" I asked her if she was kidding as I just spent 2 hours with her last week. That made me feel even worse than I did. I ended up ordering some things that day with Annie and the rest she told me just to order on build.com. Needless to say, I got a cheaper cabinet and never got sconces. Now fast forward to this past Friday when my contractor was finishing up. He put the faucet in and then asked me where the drain was. I was totally confused. I thought it came with it. It seems that this particular faucet requires purchase of a separate drain. Annie NEVER even discussed this with me. I called her on Friday afternoon (3:37 pm) and started to explain the situation. She told me she was out for early dinner with her husband and it was her day off and to text her my name so she could check it out on Saturday and call me to discuss. I did just that after I hung up. It's now Monday at 4:15pm and I'm still waiting for her to call me!! What horrible customer service!! Perhaps she doesn't care about the little guy. Thank goodness my contractor was here and stayed as we looked on line to order the proper drain needed. I did NOT go thru build.com for it. I didn't want to give them another penny. Whatever you do, if you are going to Ferguson in Hicksville.... AVOID ANNIE AT ALL COST!!! She is NOT professional. FYI, prior to putting this review on, I called the manager and spoke with him and told him I would be doing it. He was profusely apologetic. read more

We drove to Hicksville as it is one of the only showrooms in NYC area open on Saturday. We didn't have an appointment, but had the good luck to have Stevie help us. She is AMAZING! So knowledgeable and really seemed interested in helping us. She took so much time helping us understand the pros and cons of different models and finishes and went above and beyond in showing us options that might work. I think it's disgusting how I was dealt with, so pissed I felt compelled to write this review , which I almost never do. I am a 52 year old Latino, with tattoos. Oh btw I am also a lawyer. I went yesterday to the retail portion , where you can get plumbing parts. From the moment I walked in store , I was ignored. As I looked for the plumbing pieces I needed , no one came to offer help. 6 white male contractors came in after me , and they were all greeted at door and immediately helped. I counted ( all were in stained work clothes)I was there for a hour to find 2 small plumbing pieces. Not only was I not offered help, but one of the employees intermittently went into the aisle, not so discreetly making sure I did not steal. Exasperated , I finally asked him for help. He visibly got annoyed I asked for help, and then quickly , dismissed my question without any offer to help me figure out what was needed or ask the other 4 guys behind the counter. I finally figured out what I needed, went to counter to pay. The other 4 guys behind counter, ignored me , glancing at me sporadically, as I stood there for 10 minutes. As I stood there , they were knee deep in a conversation amongst themselves. Finally , the employee who had treated me like crap, came over and handled my purchase . And even then he acted annoyed that I was paying for something. If I didn't need the part immediately, I would have left. It is amazing to me in this day in age , there are still places where a store would still make a Hispanic unwelcome. read more

We are in the process of finalizing our kitchen and powder room renovation, and our experience with Blackman has gone from somewhat decent to a complete nightmare over the past several weeks and has delayed our entire renovation. Over a month ago, we started off quite impressed with the showroom selection, and prices were reasonable. Gayle was very knowledgeable and helped us find what we thought would be the perfect items for our kitchen and bathroom. However, our experience since signing and paying for a whole suite of kitchen and bath products over a month ago (e.g. once they already had our money!) has been terrible and shows a simple lack of professionalism, attention to detail, and frankly basic care about customers. We were promised a delivery timeframe for all items two weeks ago, and any and since then, all attempts to actually follow up on WHERE our items were met with silence and countless unreturned phone calls and voicemails to both our salesperson and the folks whose supposed job is to manage a warehouse and deliver products. When our items were finally delivered yesterday, we did not receive a call from the delivery team, who then proceeded to allow the electrician working inside the house to sign for the order and dumped our sink, bathroom faucet, and mirror inside our garage without contacting US. When my wife arrived, the Brizo kitchen faucet that was supposed to be included with our delivery was NOWHERE to be found. What has happened since is a further nightmare of unprofessional phone calls, finger-pointing, and a complete lack of accountability from anyone at Blackman. We still do not have a kitchen faucet and Blackman shows no interest in making sure we get the faucet that we paid them for over a month ago. Moral of the story: if possible- DON'T pay Blackman before receiving and checking ALL of your items. Pick up the items yourself, don't rely at all on their incompetent warehouse and delivery staff, and give yourself an extra month built into your renovation schedule because you will need it! read more

Our sales representative Samantha Kreyling was FANTASTIC with helping us pick out all the plumbing fixtures for both our kitchen and 3 bathrooms. She patiently worked with us from the beginning to the end of both our kitchen, and 3 bathroom renovations. She is extremely knowledgeable and knows how to coordinate and design for both functionality and style. Samantha also resolved any issues with the contractor with regard to roughing concerns. We went to Blackman's now it is Ferguson's Plumbing. We had bought a handheld shower by Brizio. The unit broke, but came with a lifetime guarantee. The unit we had was discontinued and the replacement was the wrong shape. Samantha help us and was terrific. She went out of her way to come up with a solution. The unit is now working perfectly. do not , i repeat do not use the sales person named annie! she should be fired for how she treats her customers. always too busy to actually spend time with them. sat there and trashed talked other customers that she is dealing with as well. after waiting weeks to meet with her ( had no choice the company i'm doing work with uses her ) she was literally falling asleep behind the desk as she was talking to my wife and i. due to her being so tired when we asked about our " vanity set " we were told it came with the matching mirror. now months later she says she never said it and does not recall the convo. i wish i could return my whole order so she does not make a single cent off me. she is by far the worst salesperson i have ever ever dealt with. ferguson should be ashamed to have such an person working there. do yourselves a favor if shopping here, stay far far away from annie !!! read more

Stopped in to get ideas for a bathroom renovation. The showroom is a decent size with many options- fixtures, sinks, vanities, toilets, tubs, and tile. I particularly like the tile options, which range from simple and traditional to modern. The price points also varied, with both cost-effective and high-end. I went here for the first time a few weeks ago to pick up a part for a bathroom project being done in my home. They had exactly what I needed but the staff is so inattentive and just...blah. I had to wait on line for a half hour before I could even get acknowledged and then the person behind the counter came out and helped me find what I needed. Just not very friendly.
