Where oh where to start... I took my 5 1/2 year-old French bulldog to a groomer instead of the vet…read moreabout two months ago to have her glands done. This dog has been a puppy since she was born. High energy always. Well she came home from the groomer unable to jump, and over the next few days was in visible pain, shaking, couldn't barely walk, couldn't even get comfortable laying down. Crate rest, muscle relaxers, pain pills, and multiple sessions of acupuncture over 6 weeks and she was making improvement, but not like I wanted. So I got on yelp and started searching and found Autumn. I sat near Dutchess her whole first session, and was SO convinced just after that, that before autumn left my house, my other dog AND me were scheduled to join in on Dutchess' next session. Dutchess got up from her session and immediately ran into my other room and jumped on the couch. Literally IMMEDIATELY. This dogs MO is making me lose my shit with her high energy and I felt like we were immediately back to normal We've now had 2 sessions and I told Autumn yesterday that Dutch is about to send me into an early grave because she has been bouncing off the walls constantly since our second session. Keeping her calm is essentially out of the question at this point and just not gonna happen. My sweet rambunctious 5.5 year old puppy is back and I am SO grateful for Autumn. So now about me. Stage 4 endometriosis. Had a child via IVF and surrogacy. I've had 2 laparoscopic surgery's. First one to remove a softball size mass that engulfed my entire left ovary and tube, and attempt to clear out some of the endo. Second time to clear out some endo. Got about 5% relief on the second surgery. Essentially the surgery was a waste of my time. Well, like I said, I sat near Dutchess during her whole first session. And started my period the morning of Dutchess' second session. That period started 5 days later then when it "normally" does, which is actually usually 5 days EARLIER then what my period calendar always says. So I got an extra FIVE days In between periods AND I HAD ZERO CRAMPS! People I'm serious, NO CRAMPS. My cramps were so bad before that I signed up for a second surgery to try to help. A whole surgery. And got barelyyyyy any relief. All I did was sit NEAR my dog and had no cramps. Well that was the first day of my first period since being around the machine. I got my own session done that day, and when I tell you I'm EXCITED for my next period, I'm serious. Because I can't wait to see how it feels. Or how it doesn't feel. I even got a facial a few days ago and my face lady was like wow your face is bleeding a lot today and it never bleeds like this.... And I'm like oh is it?! Well the machine Autumn uses is said to increase blood flow... i guess that's 100% true. So if you ask me, run don't walk to see Autumn.

To verify that my horse was not being given his supplements and also not being turned out regularly, which I paid for, I devised a way to keep track of my horse's care and found out my hunch was correct. Even after voicing my concerns to the barn owner twice, nothing changed. I believe socioeconomics played a big role in the lack of care for my horse. As a school teacher, I was not one of the clients at Crossroads Farm whose horse was in training nor was I able to afford regular lessons. Neither of these variables should have diminished the care that my horse was guaranteed in my contract and the services I was paying to receive. I was a client at another hunter jumper barn for many years and never experienced this type of "you are less than" regardless of a training program, going to shows, or how many lessons I took. That barn made always made my horse and myself feel no less important than their other more wealthy clients. The same certainly cannot be said for Crossroad Farms.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! After owning and stabling horses for over 25 years and never…read moreencountering a problem, I stabled my horse at Triple L Stables in Gilbert, Az, which was a big mistake. My horse was there 3 days before we noticed that he was not eating the alfalfa pellets. Initially, the owner, Max had told us that his facility fed alfalfa pellets but we could feed alfalfa hay so long as we brought it in and fed it ourselves.  After the 3 days, we took our horse to a local rodeo and prior to leaving we noticed our horse had not eaten his pellets. At the rodeo, we confirmed that he would not eat the pellets at all. Our poor horse was starving and dropping weight. We switched him back to alfalfa hay. I called the owner and reported this to him. He stated that the horse had eaten the pellets, which was not true. Three of us saw the trough full of pellets when we picked him up. I told the owner that we would be switching him back to hay. He asked me if I was going to be feeding our horse daily because he would not do that. I responded with yes. He then stated for the very first time that he would not allow hay on his property, because it's messy and causes too many flies, which was contrary to what he told us before we signed the boarding agreement. He stated that his place was not the right one for us and that we needed to go elsewhere. He was insistent that we find a new place immediately. I told him we would move out and asked for a refund since I paid him in advance for the month. He stated he would pro rate the board and refund the balance. When it came time to the refund, the owner stated that he was going to continue billing me on a daily basis until he rented out our horse's stall. I reminded him that he asked us to move out. He refused to refund me the amount he withheld until he rented out the stall. I paid him $325 for the month , which the stall was only rented for 7 days (horse was only there for 3 days). He refunded me $152 and stated he was being generous. I reminded him that he canceled the contract and breached the agreement. When it comes to business, this man has no conscience or moral compass.

They go to parks, hiking and some times up to the mountains. I completely trust Melanie with my "babies" and she loves them as much as we do, it seems. She is easy to work with, has a key to our house so she can pick them up while we are at work, and I never have to worry about them being in her care. This is one expense that is a necessity for my family members. She even posts pictures of them on her website so I can see what they have been up to.

Shelly was careful to select a rottie that would do well in our environment. We met Shelly on neutral territory to introduce Samson to Thor. Thor was a very scared and untrusting boy who showed this through aggression. Shelly brought Dave from Empowered K9 (who is amazing at what he does) to assist with the introduction. After a long, intense session, these two ended up riding home together in the back seat. Once home, Shelly ensured we had everything we needed to foster Thor - a bed, crate, food, collar, leash, treats and toys. She was very responsive to our questions and gave great advice. She had Thor neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. When Thor saw her, you knew he just loved her! There was a potential adopter for Thor, and we were afraid he would be adopted. When Shelly told us he was not adopted, we were elated and knew we had to have Thor as a permanent member of our family. So, we were foster failures, and adopted Thor! Today, almost a year later, Samson and Thor are best of friends. We could not imagine our family without him. He is a happy, playful, loving pup - and I say pup because he never had the chance to be a puppy and now he is a 140-pound puppy! He is truly the sweetest most loving soul. I know we are thankful for each other, and I can't imagine the life he would have had if it weren't for Shelly. We continue to support Shelly and her organization as best we can through donations or volunteering. She holds socialization and fundraising events that are extremely well done. I am simply amazed by her dedication and her passion for the breed. I don't know how she manages it all, but she does and she makes it look easy. She is absolutely amazing and is a true angel!

I would give zero stars if I could…read more I had a very disappointing experience with this rescue. I adopted a dog from the rescue and, after only a couple of days, made the difficult decision to return him because I did not feel the situation was the right fit for my young children. My children are very young, and I felt that returning the dog was the responsible decision rather than continuing a situation that wasn't working. Unfortunately, my experience with the person I dealt with from the rescue was also extremely negative. Her attitude was rude, confrontational, and completely lacking in compassion. Instead of having a professional and understanding conversation about the situation, I felt judged and treated poorly for making what I believed was the safest decision for my family. What made the situation even worse was seeing the rescue publicly post/comment on social media implying that I did not know how to control my children around the dog. I found that incredibly inappropriate and unfair. They were not in my home and did not have the full context of what happened, yet chose to publicly criticize my parenting. I understand that rescues want to advocate for the animals in their care, but adopters deserve respect as well. Publicly shaming a family and making assumptions about their parenting is not the way to handle an adoption that ultimately didn't work out. Based on my experience, I would strongly encourage anyone considering adopting from this rescue to ask very detailed questions about the dog's behavior around young children and, more importantly, pay attention to how the rescue treats you when things don't go perfectly. My experience was extremely disappointing, and I would not adopt from this rescue again.
