I contracted with Sherwood Tree to trim a number of large oaks around my lake that were beginning to block the view of the sunset over the water as well as trees over my gazebo and workshop. Unfortunately, I was called out of town the day before the job was to be performed and when I arrived back home the amount of trimming was not as much as I thought it would be. When Tom called me to follow up on my satisfaction I told him I wish more limbs had been trimmed than what was done and he immediately apologized and offered to come back and handle the job himself to my liking. Ultimately, it was my fault as I was not there and it was a LOT of trimming to be done. The price was so much better than anyone else I had contacted so I knew even as it was I had gotten a deal. BUT when he came back and made sure I was happy I actually felt bad for how much he did for the price we agreed upon. I tried to pay him more and he refused saying he just wants happy customers. I referred him to friends of mine and all have been super happy with the work. We can't all perform at a 100% all the time but what makes the difference is that he made it a priority to make sure I was beyond happy with the job completed. It is really awesome to find hard working business owners that take pride in their work the way these guys do. A+ Service from Tom Cruxon and his company. We got off to a rough start due to a miscalculation on the original quote, but Tom went above and beyond to make things right. Mistakes happen to everyone, but what matters is what is done to make things right in the end. I have never experienced such thorough and sincere customer service. Had two massive Maple trees extremely over grown in my front yard. Jason (Certified Arborist) came by to take a look and said the trees had some serious problems and were in need of a good trimming and cleaning up. SHERWOOD has been to my home twice, once to trim a huge oak then two years later, saw them in neighborhood and asked for an inspection of same tree. The arborist came over as soon as he finished his job and took a 20+ minute inspection of my tree. I expected a quote for further work, but was happy to hear that everything looked good. Sherwood Tree Service removed a dying laurel oak tree from my backyard. They quoted a very fair and reasonable price. With the actual tree removal, the team methodically took the tree down piece by piece with ease. I have a relatively small yard, so I was somewhat concerned that large branches could fall onto my fence, patio, or even house... but the team was very meticulous with each step, and the tree was removed with no issues at all. Jason is the best! He listened and was very understanding when I explained that I was concerned about not wanting too much cut out of the trees. We have a lot of wildlife in the area, squirrels and birds, etc. I don't like when tree companies come in and butcher or scalp the trees. I called numerous tree services after hurricane Irma, to this day I have not heard from any. Jason of Sherwood was the only one that promptly returned my call. Jason set up an appointment for an estimate also promptly, soon after I realized he was running his business the way I am accustomed, and set up a day for removal of fallen tree and the unfallen balance. Tom Cruxon is a charming Yorkshireman who gives prompt and careful estimates. He is an arborist and truly knows his business so he can explain what needs to be done and why. Wow! Tom Cruxon and crew of the Sherwood Tree Service did an excellent job. I'm amazed they could trim four queen palms to this perfection in under an hour.
