This is the third time I have had the services of Yutzy Tree Service. They are exceptional! My latest job involved grinding a couple of stumps from very old pine trees that had been cut down as well as cutting out the stumps of some very tall podocarpus bushes that had to be taken out to make room for a new fence. I contacted Yutsky Tree Service for removal of a 140 year old live oak which had fallen in my yard. The person I spoke to on the phone was pleasant and helpful. I was told that there was an arborist in my area who would be calling me that day to set up a time to stop by and take a look at it. No arborist called, no office person called. I guess that following up with potential clients is not a priority for them. It would be fine if they had told me that they couldn't get to me. They failed. read more

I have not used Yutzy personally however they worked on my neighbor's property earlier this week. The crew decided to drive their stabilizer vehicle on to my freshly planted sod in my front yard. They did not bother to knock on my door prior to doing this. I went outside and kindly asked them to get off my lawn because I had just planted new sod. The driver said ok but then just drove over to the right of way and proceeded to continue working. I again went out and told him to get off my lawn as I had just spent $1000 to plant the new sod. He responded rudely "I am not on your lawn." My new lawn now has dark streaks and ruined sod squares from the tire tracks. I called the Yutzy office and they said they would advise crew to stay off lawn. They did not ask if lawn was damaged or seem to care. I highly recommend using Tree Stooges instead. They were cheaper, professional, and courteous to myself as well as my neighbors during the tree trimming. They even knocked on neighbor's doors prior to work to give them heads up. read more

I wish I hired this company first to tame my jungle. I bought a house with an overgrown yard with a giant bamboo cluster. Another service cut down the bamboo and I was left with trimmed bamboo that was starting to grow back. Other tree services were not able to do such a big job and Yutzy ground down the bamboo stumps. They showed up on time and did a great job. Their arborist Tim was knowledgeable about my exotic trees and knew which trees were invasive that should be removed. They also removed some invasive trees and a couple of dead trees. I would definitely use them again I wish I knew the name of the man who did the grinding using "big mama". These guys were amazing. I had about 8 places out for quotes... they were extremely reasonable compared to others and on tree day ... they were here 15 min early and removed the tallest 2 pines you have ever seen from our back yard. They used 2 cranes and had about 6 guys working quickly and efficiently. You seriously wouldn't even know they were here after they left. To be honest, yutzy did not do what we ask them to do. We wanted a trim on some trees and they cut them back in an extreme manor. They came out, we're very responsive and made good with an adjustment because they realized they made a mistake. I believe mistakes happen , it's how you deal with problems and Yutzy did great. I highly recommend Yutzy Tree Service. Their customer service is outstanding. Each time I spoke with someone at the office they were professional and accommodating. I met with two of the arborists for a consultation and estimate. I had an email estimate that evening. I sleep during the day because I work nights. The scheduling department left a message with a proposed date and time. When I called back and let them know that it didn't work with my schedule, they were able to set me up for an early appointment. On the scheduled date of service, rain was threatening. I fully expected them to cancel due to impending bad weather. However, they showed up in force. There were at least seven employees working on my trees. They were efficient and had the work done within 2 1/2 hours. They made safety a priority and constantly talk to one another to ensure they were approaching each task the best possible way. When the job was complete the foreman asked me to come outside and approve the work. It was great to do business with such a committed group of people. read more

When we purchased our first home, there was a massive pine tree right up against the foundation of the house. This tree was an immediate issue that needed to be taken care of right away, before it caused further problems with the foundation or the underground plumbing. After reading reviews and calling around for estimates. Yutzy was definitely not the cheapest, but provided the best service, including stump grinding. We also have a ceramic tile roof, and the tree was hanging directly on the roof and also entangled in the power lines going to the house. We needed a company that was experienced, professional, and had insurance. I booked the appointment over the phone, Yutzy took care of all of the permit paperwork, disposal, and basically everything. The appointment day arrived. Went to work, arrived home to find absolutely no trace that the tree ever existed. Absolutely nothing, it was awesome. No debris, nothing. Sparking clean and everything in it's place. They even closed the back gate and locked it. My neighbors were so impressed that they are still talking to me about Yutzy, said that they brought a crane with them and a huge truck. Yet, they were so quiet and the neighbors were very happy about that. But, I think it is funny because I would have never known if no one told me. I cannot recommend their service enough. For any large and complicated tree services, I will definitely be recommending Yutzy to everyone. read more

We have used Yutzy twice now. We have used other random tree services but they are by far the best. We used them once at our old property and just now at our new home. We have a lot of large oaks at our new house so we had the full experience this round - cranes and all. Here's a write up with each steps experience. Their office is so friendly and prompt when you call. They schedule and come out for a quote quickly. The woman that came to quote was the same both times. She is extremely nice and very easy to communicate with. She understood what we wanted done very quickly. She also was extremely knowledgeable on the type of trees we have and gave good recommendations (not sales related ones). Their prices are VERY competitive. The quote you receive is very clear and there is no room for confusion or miscommunication. There is a few week wait to get on the trimming schedule but that is because they are very heavily booked- they are popular. The crew that shows up is very clearly skilled. The equipment is high end and makes the job efficient and safe. They are also properly insured based on the information they provided. The crew cleans up after themselves well and is pleasant while they are here. Their prices are competitive but you don't give up friendly service, insurance, quality, promptness, cleanliness, or pretty much anything. Highly, highly recommend. read more

Carl Yutzy runs a great show!. This company was recommended to me and I am so glad I chose them for my work. They did EVERYTHING they said they would do and more. They got on the roof and blew off debris and jokingly I said while they were up there maybe they could do the gutters and he said sure.....They also pulled down some dead palm branches that were not included in originally pricing; very nice! It was amazing to watch...all the moving parts were working together; They took down 3 large pine and a bunch of bamboo. There was an issue with some electric and they worked with me to get it taken care of and are coming back today to finish the job!....Highly recommend ! read more

When I got the quote to remove a large laurel oak I suffered sticker shock. But it had to come down. I read the reviews but I still called a couple of other places and either received a larger quote or one that that was equal to theirs but didn't cover everything that Yutzy had quoted on. They were on time. They did exactly what they said they'd do and they billed me exactly what I was quoted even though it took more time than they expected. They hauled away everything and left the stump level with my driveway and covered it with mulch from grinding the stump. These guys are the real deal! read more

After a not great experience with another company I hired Yutzy ~15 years ago and have used them ever since. Most years it is to get ready for hurricane season but I have also had them remove a "twin" oak and a hedge that I could no longer manage. We could not have been happier with Yutzy Tree Service. We had two bids done by two different companies to remove all the trees on our property. Amazingly enough both companies bid the same amount to the penny. The bidder from Yutzy only took a few minutes of looking at the yard to tell us the price, his 30 years of experience definitely showed since the other company did careful calculations and came up with the same bid. We chose Yutzy because of that and the fact that they carry workman's compensation for their employees. I carefully researched this and if a company you chose has a employee injured on your property and they are not solvent enough to cover the medical expenses you as the homeowner could be sued for that money. Why risk it? You don't take that risk with Yutzy. They answered all our questions before hand and when the crew arrived they were polite and friendly. We left for the day and they called us exactly when we told them to 1.5 to 2 hours before they were done so we could finish what we were doing and get back to see their work. They showed us everything they did and several of them mentioned how lucky they felt to work for Yutzy and that we chose a great company to do the work. It's nice to hear employees say "I've worked for other companies but this is by far the best and I'm so lucky I found my career at a young age" we were very impressed with everything.
