I wanted to keep my olive oil on my counter in it so I asked if there was lead in the paint and was assured no lead. Today I was about to wash it before using and I could see something dark inside, I looked inside with a flashlight and could see that the ceramic coating did not coat the inside completely, about 1/3 was raw uncoated, so I cannot use it. Highly disappointed considering what I paid for it. If you go there check carefully before purchasing. Now I can only use it for display, not what I wanted it for.
