I have just completed my personal Chp 7 BK, with the professional legal bk services of David Shevitz and his law firm. It was not as hard as I thought. He gave me several months to pay my fee for filing and completing the BK from beginning to end. Upon paying my fee in full, a very modest fee, is what I was charged, for my $62k or so in total bk amount to have discharged, resulted in my bk to be completed in just 3.5 months after payment in full. Most of my debt was credit card debt for buying too many educational online courses to become financially independent, and the other half was overpayment of SSDI for the SSA. I was first embarrassed and always wanted to pay all my debts I ever had in life in full; however, because of the high 25% Interest rate on most of my credit cards it might have been 16 or so years till I could ever pay them off if ever at all the way things were going. I had purchased too many courses for too expensive an amount and then the co's went out of business and David helped me clear up that so I can concentrate with a new financial foundation.... I was first thinking of going to a debt settlement co and even worked for a law group, that did that but I hear that there is no guarantee that a debt settlement co will even do the job that they promise in the long run. So instead of dragging out the financial saga I decided to declare BK with the professional help of David Shevitz BK specialist Law firm. I give him a 5 star rating also. David and his office were also always nice and professional and answered my emails and calls very promptly. Thank you. read more

Bankruptcy is one of the most difficult and agonizing things I've had to go through in my financial life. No one ever expects it will happen them. I made the decision that bankruptcy was my only option. Once I made that difficult decision, I started looking online for bankruptcy attorneys. I interviewed 3 of what I considered the best attorneys based on online reviews. After a very pleasant, yet detailed interview with David Shevitz, I decided that David was the lawyer I wanted to represent me. Throughout the long process, David and Daisy worked with me to make sure we had the best opportunity to secure a BK7, which is what I needed. It is a process and sometimes you feel like nothing is happening, but David always responded to my emails and kept me up to date, even when there was nothing new to report. David ultimately achieved a court ordered bankruptcy 7, on my behalf. This ended a truly wrenching time in my life and I'm glad I hired David to handle it. What can I say about David and Daren. Back in 2016, four law firms rejected my labor claim vs. my former employer that owed me 50k. They said labor claims were hard to win and it was a waste of time. But David and Daren took on the challenge and accepted my difficult case. My former employer sold the business and refused to pay my claim. Then Covid came and made the chance of me getting any money even more unlikely. But David and Darren did not give up even when I thought it was becoming very bleak. They ultimately found my former employer committed fraud and lied under oath through bank statements they received through a subpoena. A very smart move by my lawyers. Ultimately my former employer was forced to settle. Through negotiations they won me more than 50% of my claim in July 2022. I can't recommend enough the services of David Shevitz and Daren M. Schlecter. They are amazing attorneys that will fight for your case to the very end. You won't find better lawyers in the Los Angeles area. Thank you David and Daren! You rock! read more
