I've had several of their regular staff give me a table or foot massage and while they all have different techniques all are very good at what they do. They concentrate on getting knots and cramps out of your body especially if you tell them what is hurting. It's a little painful at first but as they relax the muscles your body releases endorphins and I've found myself drifting off into a quick nap on many occasions. I've never tried it but I've seen them use their feet on other people's backs in the far back area where they hold onto bars above the beds as well. Maybe if my back feels that bad I'd probably trust them to do their magic as they've never let me down yet. 15 minutes is fine, 30 minutes is better, but if you want to seriously unwind and relax your aching muscles 60 minutes never fails. They don't chat your ear off allowing you to enjoy the Asian instrumental music. Their prices are reasonable, around a dollar a minute or so. Even when I make appointments with private masseuses I pay around the same price but here you can usually just walk right in. I've traveled many places including other countries and while you may find cheaper, I can't say it was any better. The overall convenience of being in the MOA where everything seems to be overpriced, their prices seem very fair to me. After it's over, they ask if everything was ok and offer a cup of water. Then they show you the posted cost plus tax so you can see you're being priced fairly. I tip them well because of their attentiveness, excellent skills, and overall professionalism. I highly recommend them even if you don't need to do any shopping at the MOA.

Anyways - in the end I got a great foot massage that truly relaxed me. Overall chill vibe, nobody acting psycho. Foot massage tables were comfortable.

I was hesitant getting a massage in a public setting but I did something painful to my neck so I desperately made a trip to Shiatsu Renu. I wasn't disappointed. I asked for the 20 minute massage but somehow got talked into the hour long Complete Retreat II. There is definitely a language barrier as noted in other reviews so I didn't know what I agreed to but I decided not to doubt the masseur's expertise. I let him do his magic and did he ever! I can't say it was pain free, but I was already suffering and he performed a miracle. I was sorely tense on my entire left side from my head to my hip, how I got that way is a mystery. All I know is that I could barely move my neck before I got there but by the time I left I was loose as creamed corn. I'm convinced 20 minutes wouldn't have done the trick lol. Totally worth the hour's pay in my book! I also read in previous reviews about being pressured to leave a tip. I didn't experience that but definitely paid gratitude for a job well done. I agree it's not professional to be asking outright for a tip, but please keep in mind that if you do go that those working to service others (especially now) have families to support and your generosity goes a long way. I assure you that I got what I paid for! Bottom line: we're all stressed to the max over this and that, on top of the pandemic. If you're a mother like me, you might be carrying a lot of mom guilt. Or you're balancing working from home while taking care of yourself and your family. Or concerned about loved ones you haven't seen in long time. Whatever it is, we literally carry our worries on our shoulders and I'm guessing that's what happened to me. A good massage could be your turning point, I highly recommend coming here!

The man who did my massage, it was almost like he was trying to beat me up the whole time. I had tears in my eyes while he was massaging me. I went in for a 50-minute massage and honestly wanted him to stop after three minutes. It was not relaxing at all. They were also rude by talking to each other the full time with other members of the staff. I typically am very lenient with my massages and people, and I give a lot of grace when it comes to people who work hard and do service jobs. This is not a place to go. There are other massage places in the Mall of America--I beg you to go there instead.

    * Disclaimer english is not my first language but I am fluent without a distinguished accent…read more (We all have accents but you know what I mean) This review doesn't come from a prejudice perspective. I just believe customers have the right to consent to things and language isn't a barrier or an excuse for shady and unethical business practices. I went to give a relative of mine a full body and cupping. The service itself was okay not entirely worth the price of $115 but it's a mall so no high expectations going into it and people should be paid for their work so the money itself wasn't and won't ever be a concern for this review. There was only one worker who spoke english out of maybe 8-9. Which itself isn't a problem unless you have 2-3 non-english speakers attempting to rush you through every sentence-constantly interrupting you and attempting to haggle you into services you did not ask for. At that point, it becomes frustrating process and not because of the language issue. They kept interrupting me so much I could barely get a sentence out. In print they ask you to inform them of any health concerns for the services and before i could even speak, the main older lady interrupted me to bring my attention to "Chinese medicine" add on. (it's literally icy hot balm in a Chinese container for 3x the price. ) Overall, it was a very hectic and rushed process. I paid for the service while my relative was getting the service. At the end when tipping was involved (i left the tip to my relative as they wanted to pay the service worker directly.) The service worker assumed we did not want to tip at all so she took the screen and started inserting her own tip which i found out of line. One of the workers even lied about what services my relative received and attempted to charge me extra. (It wasn't even the service the main masseuse was insisting we get at the beginning. (We declined several times and i made sure to clarify the price when i was paying so I know she was lying for no reason. Overall save your money, this place is not relaxing or comfortable in any way shape or form. (From this strange first and LAST experience.) Literally how hard is it to have just one person handle billing communication? Why am I speaking- ( more like arguing ) with several people for an interaction that should not be more than 2 minutes of talking? They're very money hungry people and extremely unethical in how they run their business. Their entire approach is to add stuff on and pretend they didn't hear you when you said no. Also, regarding the service, my relative informed me the massage was subpar compared to the average massage experience she's had + the price. It's difficult to get a massage by an individual who simply does not listen to instructions and seems to be guessing what you MAY want while actively ignoring what you ACTUALLY ask for. Save your coins. They're cashing in on people's racism and expecting you to assume this is how it works. The only people I saw enjoy themselves were middle aged white women laughing at their own jokes to staff who quietly smile along pretending they know what they said before making turning to their fellow staff like "??"
