Such an amazing experience. Warm and comfortable bed and the masseuse knew her way around the body, I will definitely go back.

I parked in the main lot and entered on the top level, so I had to go downstairs to find the member check-in spot. Once I found the check-in spot, I did a little wandering before giving up and asking a staff member for help finding the cardio machines. Every staff member I've encountered has been very friendly, and they keep the space clean. The weights and majority of the cardio machines are in a walled-off section of the gymnasium, behind a walled-off fitness studio. There's a lot of space, even during busy hours. Upstairs you'll find the indoor track, some additional cardio machines (my favorite spot!), and an open area for stretching. There's a good variety of group classes here. The instructors are enthusiastic and fun!

Upon starting our visit, we did an Intake, where she asked questions about your health and areas of concern. Dr. Xiong ensured all my questions were answered. I opted for acupuncture as I wanted to try this technique to address some minor low back muscle ache and muscle tension on my trapeze. We also decided to try some acupuncture points to address some anxiety and stress. Dr. Xiong always asked me if I was comfortable trying the acupuncture area before doing it. Hand hygiene was also well practiced. The needle prick felt like a quick pick on the skin. I would say it is less painful than a paper cut. Dr. Xiong always ensured I had privacy during the session. My session lasted almost two hours, but Dr. Xiong stated that everyone is different based on their area of concern. After my session, I felt relief from my lower right back and neck tension. My anxiety and stress were almost gone, and I just felt more energized. All the negative energies and muscle aches were expelled, and I was refreshed. If you are hesitant to try acupuncture, I recommend you try it to see for yourself. I would be willing to try acupuncture again! Below are some photos from my acupuncture session with Dr. Gudde Xiong.

Not only is Adrienne well-versed in all things Chinese medicine, but she managed to help ease my aches. After a couple sessions of acupuncture, the mobility in my knees has improved impeccably. I have very little weakness in my knees and absolutely no sharp pains. Aside from my knees, my neck is an area that I have pain problems with because of sleep/stress. I had seen my chiropractor a couple times prior with little luck (I was very stuck in my neck area). With one session of acupuncture, my chiropractor was able to unstick my neck area with ease. I'm happy with how speedy my recovery has been since I started seeing Adrienne. I will definitely be coming back!

I've tried physical therapy, chiropractic care,…read moremassage therapy, stretching, exercise/weight loss, spinal injections similar to an epidural, medication...pretty much everything but witchcraft. Oh, and acupuncture! I have always been freaked out by the idea of acupuncture (amongst the typical fears, but I also have to thank Final Destination). My sciatic pain is caused by a bulging disc. It can be helped a lot better with surgery. Right now I'm too overweight to be a candidate. So that's cool. In the meantime, I needed some serious help. I can't stand for a long period of time to do regular daily tasks such as shopping, cleaning, doing the laundry or the dishes. It's hard to exercise. It's hard to sit. It's hard to sleep! I was getting desperate, and decided to take the plunge and try acupuncture. Jessica was my first provider. She's very sweet and made sure I was comfortable with my first visit. She is very knowledgeable when it comes to healing and I have her to thank for FINALLY giving me some LASTING relief of this pain! The treatment truly works between using the needles and the cupping technique, I've never been more pleased with results I've been searching for, for years! I also see Molly in rotation with Jessica, when one is not available I will see the other. Molly is also amazing! Her techniques and routine are a little different than Jessica's too which I feel is beneficial to my body to get a bit of a change once in a while. Molly is a great conversationalist and is also full of wisdom when it comes to overall health. Both Jessica and Molly make my visits feel like a spa treatment because it's so incredibly relaxing. Sometimes I fall asleep! I would also like to mention the receptionists at Selby are always very friendly and welcoming! Parking is breeze, they comp your parking fee at the Blair Arcade lot. Just bring in your ticket to your appt and the receptionist will take care of it for you. Thank you Selby Acupuncture for providing the help I needed! I'm wishing I tried acupuncture sooner!
