My husband and I were looking for something different to do for date night and found Putting Edge on Yelp. We decided to give it a shot, and we're so glad we did! When we arrived, the place was mostly empty. It honestly made it feel like we had the entire course to ourselves. We felt like VIP. The staff great! From the moment we walked in they really made the experience enjoyable. The atmosphere was fun, colorful, and super relaxed. Plus, I got a chance to win against my husband a couple of times. ;) he always beat me in everything. After we finished golfing, we played some of the arcade games and ended up laughing the entire time. It was such a great way to unwind and reconnect. We visited putting edge with our 8 and 4.5 year old. They had a blast! Pricing is a little high, but it was fun for our kids. We reserved a time online, and spent 30 minutes beforehand playing the arcade games. They sell bottled drinks (pop, water, etc). They stagger the starting times so no one is waiting for you, and you aren't waiting for the next hole either. It felt like we were by ourselves when we were putt putting, which was really cool. It took us about 45-60 minutes to get through all 18 holes. There are a few hooks near the door to hang your jacket if you wish. read more

The black lights, art theme and music playlist made this experience so much fun! I LOVED it here but I'm also obsessed with black lights and 2000s emo music ( what they were playing at the time ) . Such an amazing time! Would recommend for a date night, a night out with friends, and or the family! We wore items so we could glow as well, as we enjoy a good photo opportunity! I will say it could bare to be a bit longer alas people were lined up behind us waiting and it felt a little less intimate, but I'm a people person and know how to make friends so that's always a plus if you can! I've been here a handful of times with my little boy. We always enjoy the round...the glow scenery is a fun twist on putt-putt. We like that it's a cold-weather option for mini-golf. I don't get many of the complaints for this place. #1 there's almost nothing cool in the area to do indoors- particularly in the winter, besides a few largely mediocre restaurants and bars. That alone makes this place awesome in my book. #2, yes, they charge parents even if they claim they "aren't playing." Just like when you go to many amusement parks, even if you just watch your kids ride the rides, you pay to get in. If you go to the zoo, you pay per person, even if it's "for the kids." This really is no different. and #3- if someone ends up waiting behind you, either let them pass, or just deal with it- like literally every other mini golf place. Had lots of fun at putting edge glow golf. I can't say enough about the wonderful customer service provided by the young gentlemen working that night. We planned on arriving earlier, but unfortunately due to snowy weather, we didn't make it to that side of town until 10:30pm to start our game. I was nervous that the employees of the establishment would be upset and unkind to us for arriving only 30 minutes before closing time, however we received just the opposite treatment. They were very friendly and welcoming, gave very clear instructions on where to find everything for the game, and even let us finish our game even though we were there at least 10-15 minutes toward closing time. It is very difficult to come across excellent customer service these days, and I think these gentlemen should be commended for their ability to provide this, and accommodate us so wonderfully. I also enjoyed the decorations of the glow golf course, especially the mermaid and ocean themed area. The set up of the course is quality and sturdy, far superior to other glow golf courses I have been to. I would recommend this for anyone, and would also be happy to return. read more

It's too bad I can't give it a negative star. I scheduled my son's 12th birthday for July 30th. We arrived with our guest, including out of town guest, only to find out the facility was closed due to power outage. A hand written sign...meanwhile the entire center had power as well as putting edge, we could see the lights. Not a single phone call nor email. My reservation time was pre-paid for. Psychedelic paint job inside this place. Went for my sister-in-laws bday family event tonight. We picked out a color ball and received a coordinated glow band. I wasn't going to play but it was the same cost if I just wanted to walk through with the group and didn't play, so decided I should play. Not very family friendly! We had a reservation time and when we arrived as a family of 5 we were told we needed to split up. We couldn't enjoy the game as a family. We had a great time today. Very unique place with a good course. My nephew is a big putt putt kid and he really liked changing it up and going with the glow. The paint jobs were really well done with the lights. It was pretty slow when we were there so we took our time and didn't wait at all. My only disappointment was the "arcade". It really only had two games - a air hockey table and a simulator roller coaster ride. ALL the other "games" were just 'see how many tickets you can win' which was kinda lame. I thought we were going to be able to spend some time in the arcade but it was only about 20 mins to get through the whole thing. So if you're planning an afternoon out you need a back up place. I love the atmosphere but the customer service was rude and treated my son and me poorly. They so worry about Covid they didn't have paper to womena restroom. I hosted a group of language students here on a Friday night & we all had a great experience! We were able to bring ordered pizzas in & host our group in a private room before beginning our rounds of golf. The place is clean & well maintained. Each of the staff members present were friendly and super accommodating. They were patient with our students who had limited English. The "golf course" was unique because of the glow in the dark ambiance. Priced reasonably, the only issue would be a lack of food beyond vending machine-style snacks. But it is in a big shopping plaza with everything from chuck e cheese & McDonalds nearby to high end dining g, so I can see why they did not want (or need) to bring that extra level of complexity in. This was a fun indoor activity for my kids while we were in tow for a few days. Lots to look at with all of the props under black light. There's also an arcade in the building. The only thing I didn't like was that anyone walking the golf course has to pay the $12.50 price. My 4 year old wasn't really interested in playing but I still had to pay for her to walk with us. This place was fun. I liked the glow golf and the course was unique and not overly challenging. Only thing I will critique is the employees. There were some teenagers behind us that were acting like the course was a driving range and almost hit me a couple times. The employees were nowhere to be found to say something, so we finally said something to try to get them to stop so no one got hurt. I love playing putt putt, but the problem is, around here it's mostly a summertime activity. Factor in Michigan weather, and it's no wonder I never get the chance to play! When the date suggested this place, I was quietly thrilled because it's a great way to spend time together during the winter months of Michigan. To make things even cooler, it's in a newer part (well, newer to me) of the River walk thing, so I really was thrilled to come here. When we walked in, it was lit up really neat with black lights and all kinds of cool looking stuff. Neon palm trees, sharks, horses and a bunch of other cool graphics that really made it different from the rest. We were greeted by the staff at the front counter and given wrist bands along with balls and golf clubs to play with. We were told about the coat rack which made my life easier with the winter coat. The coarse is set up fairly self explanatory, and some of the holes have fun challenges. One of them suggested to play it backwards, another said to use you're foot. Made things a lot more fun! Prices here were fair, especially considering it was located indoors on a good side of town. Staff was friendly and I would return in the future. First time left a great impression on me! read more
