Please Be aware!! We hired, Shield Proof Roofing at 6809 Merion Ct., North Lauderdale, FL 33068- and signed a contract on August 16,2024 and paid 50% deposit to Mr. Eslin Martinez, the president. Before signing the contract, we noticed that the section where it states the property owner had a different name and applied for a Building permit instead of a Roofing permit, this delayed the permit process. We tried various times to contact Mr. Eslin Martinez by email, text and phone calls to find out the status of the roofing permit. Mr. Eslin Martinez did not respond to any communications between us. It took a long time for the permit to be approved. We called the City of Miami and found out that the permit was approved. We also called Mr. Eslin Martinez to tell him that the permit had been approved and when he was going to start roofing job. Mr. Eslin Martinez gave us 3 different dates, each date was a no show, no call and no explanation. At this point we were not happy with the way he conducted business. Mr. Eslin Martinez finally communicated we us after we requested our deposit back. Then he stated he'll come to the property the next day. At this point we realized that this was a game. He has not returned the deposit of $8,000.00 and again no communications. Please be aware Shield Proof Roofing plays games and lies. The company will not communicate. This company pulled a permit to install a new roof on my home in February of 2019. I purchased the house in May of 2019. In November of 2020 my roof sprung a leak. The company website advertises a 2 year repair warranty and 5 year re-roofing warranty. I called them to repair the leak. The owner Eslin Martinez came to my home. He confirmed that I had a roof leak and said that it is likely caused by a nail and was an easy fix. Although, I am still within the 2 year repair warranty timeframe. The owner refuses to complete the repairs under the contract because he says he did not sign a contract with me. He wants me to pay $500 for the repair. SO BEWARE. If you have and issue with this company's workmanship they will find any excuse not to fix it. This company does not guarantee their work they only guarantee their contract. If you are flipping or selling a house you should ensure that this company will not do the same thing to your buyer. read more

Just run as far away from this company as you possibly can! DO NOT HIRE THESE CLOWNS! I hired them to re-roof my dad's flat roof and instead of fixing the leak they only made it worst. I was rushed to make the final payment and these assholes didn't even close the permit out with the city. They did not flash the flat and slope roofs correctly and they used something cheap to hold the membranes together. Now the seems are coming apart and the leaks are back. Not even a year went by and the leaks came back, they tried to blame the roof valley for causing the leak - but I had roofing professionals come out and look and were shocked at what they saw. DO NOT trust these CON-ARTIST (AKA Eslin and Tony) Martinez) they use cheap materials and are sloppy. THEY HAVE NO STANDARDS AND ARE LOOKING TO MAKE A QUICK BUCK AT THE HOMEOWNERS EXPENSE. The roof over our front door entrance was leaking. Our roof is 24 years old. I called Eslin Martinez, owner of Shield Proof Roofing, after our electrician recommended him on a Friday. He came out on that Saturday and explained the issue and what he would do to fix it. I had another company provide me their analysis of our situation. They said the issue was much larger and that I should just replace the entire roof since it was so old. I elected to use Eslin Martinez. He came out and fixed the issue the next day that it was not raining. They were very professional and cleaned up all of their debris. We have not had an issue with the leak since. read more
