When i was getting pricing to have my tile roof replaced i reached out to 2 other reputable roofing companies. My neighbor highly recommended Tiger Team Roofing, as they did his roof just one year prior. I then met Brian at my home and got pricing from TTR. Until I received a ReRoof Proposal from Tiger Team I repeatedly received poorly written proposals with little information on the Material used, Method of Work, Protection of Pool, Driveway ,AC, etc and clean up . I was impressed that Tigers Proposal was similar to an Engineering Specification and just as detailed . Tigers Proposal used all premium grade materials , gave a large wad of Foam Adhesive to increase the holding strength of Roof Tiles. Tigers Quote clearly stated the quantities of wood, plywood , 2x6s , 1x2s, drip shield and White painted 1x8 Fascia . after I met with Tiger's Mike Wasco and asked several key questions the Price was negotiated and I signed the contract. The honest fact he conveyed to us was that TILE Delivery takes three months. Other roof contractors told us they can begin work after they receive a Permit and gave earlier (unrealistic) finish dates. Tiger team began work of Demolition by first covering our pool, AC unit, Pool Pump, and front garden. Tiger replacing 37 sheets of plywood, 240 feet of Fasica , drip edge, Copula removal and install all 30 pound felt ALL IN ONE Eight HOUR SHIFT using 2 working Supervisors and twelve Roofing Mechanics. A terrific Clean Up. The next day a Tech came to replace our 4 damaged soffit vents , more clean up and schedule a Screen repair for 3 of our torn screens . Two days later a team of 4 plus one supervisor HOT MOPPED the entire roof. They finished by 12:0 PM. After Tiles were delevered 9 Mechanics and two working Supervisors installed the entire Tile roof in one 8 Hour day . We were impressed with their great Professional work , their Protection and Clean Up and a speedy completion! Several Neighbors were very surprised and impressed as 4 houses on our block took from 2 1/2 months to over 3 months to complete . I have worked for 38 year in the Construction trades as as a Project Manager on Large Scale (Union Trained Workers) Projects . Today is delivery day for our roofing job. The house sits at the end of a narrow dead end road and the driveway is at a right angle to the road and very narrow as well. The delivery driver from the 3rd party delivery company said he could not drop the load on the roof because he would not be able to get close enough. The tech that came to evaluate our roof was Kevin. He was prompt, efficient and very knowledgeable. He did some research for us and found out how long our roof had been in place and diagnosed the problem with our ceiling discoloration. As it turns out, luckily, we did not have roof issues and Kevin was quick to establish that and tell us how we could fix the issue. Their service has fallen off over the years. Most of their positive reviews comes from people who had a new roof installed. They installed a new roof for me about six years ago and I was pleased with their professionalism and service. Now that I need to have my roof repaired, I feel like more of a nuisance than an actual paying customer. Long story short, I waited for over two days for Brian to give me a call back. When it didn't happen, I called back and was told by the lady answering the phone that he did call me. I guess I am the idiot at this point. During the previous two days, I even answered telemarketers calls in hopes that it was Brian returning my call. She set the time and date that he could get to me. I told her I had a medical procedure scheduled during that time and could the scheduled time be moved to later in the day. I was told, "No, because he is already squeezing you in." Wow, ok! On the day of the appointment, Brian was not the person that showed up. I received a call from Andy stating that he was on the way. I left my son there to wait for Andy and went to my medical appointment. I called Andy, a few hours later, when I returned home and was told he left a proposal for me. Had Andy called me, while he was at my home, I probably would have told him to proceed with the repairs. I won't be calling Tiger Team again. I will find another company to repair the roof that they installed. Brief update: I really wish we could recommend roofing companies, because my new roofing company charged me $450 less than Tiger Team proposed repair price. If there are any words to describe Tiger Team Roofing, they are 1) Efficiency and 2) Quality. It's easy to get nervous when you are shopping around for a contractor to install a new rook on your home, but that nervousness didn't prevail when we decided to contract with Tiger Team to build our new roof. When we called, Gary, the owner, visited us at our home to provide us with roof options that would be best-suited for otherwise messy roof situation. He took the time to answer the many questions we had concerning a particularly leaky, water-puddling area on our roof that was driving so many problems. We set a work installation date with Gigi, the office admin, and she too was extremely helpful with scheduling us and answering our many questions. The roof took about three days to install, which is shockingly fast, thanks to the large and efficient team of roofers that got to work right away (when the weather permitted). When they finished, our roof went from old and dingy to new and resilient, and even better, came with a generous warranty. One mishap that occurred was that we noticed slight cracks in our ceiling after the roof was completed. Since the barrel tile new roof is significantly heavier than our old shingle roof, the weight began to bear down on a loaded deck, which caused the cracking. We notified Tiger Team of the issue (Gigi), and was told that this issue is not uncommon with new roofs, specifically those that are heavy in weight. Gary immediately came by to take a look, and listed an engineer to perform an assessment. The engineer report came out favorable (phew!) and we were advised to simply plaster and paint over the cracks- easy. Thank you Tiger Team for making this process, which I anticipated to be long and stressful, one of the most comfortable and easy home-owning experiences. 5 stars. read more
