Lucas never showed up, never called, and now I've called and text him 8+ times without a call back. The best I've gotten is a text saying "I'll call you back" Completely disappointed in his lack of communication and customer service.

Today (a month after I first requested a bid) they email me and say sorry, due to the small scope of the project (45' of gutter) they don't have time for me and turned down the job. Now I'm at least 2 months out into the rainy season trying to get on the schedule for the other company. If you don't want the job, don't bid it. What a waste of my time. Don't count on them to follow through, they may come in cheaper than the other companies but clearly you get what you pay for.

Hugo replaced shingles, addressed issues in the attic and examined the rest of the roof. I appreciate that Hugo was early to the initial consultation and the work appointment. He completed our request and then some. The company name says St Joseph Roofing and Deck Repair but he can do much more than that. More recently, Hugo installed laminate flooring on our uneven floor. To minimize debris, he took the planks down our steep stairs to make each cut outside. Highly recommend.

He even found the particular deck stain that we wanted. Hugo and a helper moved some large flower pots and so forth off of the decks to be cleaned, and came back the day after they finished the staining to move them back again. His crew did a great job cleaning the deck, and even went beyond by cleaning adjacent areas that were not technically part of the deck itself. In the end they made sure that we were satisfied, and cleaned up thoroughly before leaving. The whole large job took only two days, and at a very fair price!

Working with Jose, you'll very quickly realize how honest he is. My home was built in 1902, so there were obviously some challenges. Jose would contact me, discuss the issue, and offer several IN CODE options. He impressed me with his knowledge of county and state codes. Again, HONESTY!! His quote was one of best I received, but I still would have chosen his company, due to the way he presents himself. I found myself at home with some health issues on some days while they worked, and to be honest, it was very amusing, and relaxing for me. I would hear the music playing, and one of his crew members would suddenly break out singing to the song that was playing. Things like that showed that they were enjoying life, just working away, and happy. I also asked Jose to quote a roof for my house. Again, he was THE ONLY guy to actually get on my roof and measure things. I could hear him stomping around, checking the integrity of the plywood. No one else even got up there.
