Company strung me along for a month with bids that weren't the scope of work I asked (in writing) for. Finally on the 3rd quote they gave me the price for what I asked for in the first place, only after I had to call to get each of those because they never responded. I accepted the 3rd bid and asked them to get it scheduled. They told me should be able to work me in during November (within about 8 weeks+ after I requested a quote). That was fine, so I turned down bids from 2 other companies. Today (a month after I first requested a bid) they email me and say sorry, due to the small scope of the project (45' of gutter) they don't have time for me and turned down the job. Now I'm at least 2 months out into the rainy season trying to get on the schedule for the other company. If you don't want the job, don't bid it. What a waste of my time. Don't count on them to follow through, they may come in cheaper than the other companies but clearly you get what you pay for. read more

JT Gutters did everything that I could wish for with a gutter replacement: Lonnie was quick to come out in person for a bid and helpfully accommodate my request to adjust the bid to add screens on only one part of the house, Brook in the office was responsive with scheduling the service and gave assistance picking colors, Clayton lead a quick and clean install, and they all worked with me to make a requested adjustment after service was done with Eric putting the finishing touches on. And they did it all for hundreds of dollars less than any other bid I got! I'd highly recommend working with this crew. It's challenging to take pics of your gutters so I'm sorry the photos attached aren't better, but take my word for it: even if no one else would notice your gutters, you will, and you'll be happy you got new ones before rainy season starts. read more

We had our gutter replaced in 2021. The quote was fast and informative. They didn't try to upsell us on gutter guards since we have a lot of pine needles and recommended we see how just the new larger gutters and clean outs worked first. They repaired and installed a few pieces of flashing around our chimney, where the water was not diverted properly. They also navigated grounding our hot tub as the previous owners had connected it to the old gutters. The gutters have worked amazingly and are still holding strong. We called them back out in January of 2024, after we had all the heavy ice, for a small repair where the gutter had pulled away from the house a little. Not only did they come out quickly to provide a repair quote but they fixed the area on the spot and did not charge us. They are always incredibly helpful and knowledgeable and we will continue to use them in the future. read more

I had my gutters replaced last November (2021). The gutters are good and they did a good job. The crew was efficient, except when they tore out a section of soffit where it had rotted and needed repair. They said they would be back to replace it, in the meantime they put in a piece of plywood to cover the hole and they cut out the molding as well. They threw the molding away, called several times to say they would have a special piece milled.....and that was it.....plywood never replaced, molding gone. Very disappointed! I gave them a good rating, but no more! Also, they installed screens on the gutters. I wished they hadn't upsold the screens. I live in a grove of firs and now, at 78, I have to clean of the screens several times to keep the needles off so that the rain doesn't run off the top and over the gutters. The purpose of the gutters is to carry the runoff and instead of running over the top in a torrent. The screen product does not work in my location. They knew that, but sold this old lady a bill of goods! I am contacting the contractors board to see what my options are. I now have to pay more money to have the soffit repaired. I likely will have to remove the screens ....over $2, 500 invested. I would not recommend this company. read more

Easy enough to arrange a quote (Lonnie drove by to get a look at the front of the place and called/follow-up emailed us with the deets) but when it came down to arranging to get the work done, communication was not ideal. We were given a date on which the guys would come out but never received confirmation on the time they'd be by, despite us reaching out a couple of times to get that narrowed down. It was fine, in the end. They showed up and hustled to clean out our gutters (hauling off all the gunk), nail things back into place, and flush the downspouts. All in less than an hour. Just wish we'd been able to better plan our day around that hour. read more

Did not have a good experience with them. Referred by my neighbor to install new gutters. Gutter were put up, but not level on 3 areas of the front of the house. Came out next day to fix and it looked better but not perfect. Found my 20+ year old Japanese leaf maple damaged a couple of days latter. Big chunk damaged by ladder. Broken parts of the shrub were put in the hole of the damage as to cover it up. Called JT WCG to come look at it. Lonny and the owner came out to look at it but didn't assume liability. Said it could of been the painter who was there after the gutters were put up that damaged the shrub. The owner said that they would have a professional he knows come out to look at it the following Monday. No one ever came out. Haven't heard from them again. Not what I expected. We had a metal roof replaced on our covered porch. It was complicated because of Skylights and also linking into a tile main roof. it took many trips to get everything just right, but they stuck with it. They were always cheerful even when they had to work in the rain. read more

Lonnie was our estimator. He was pretty straightforward and gave a quote pretty quickly. I appreciated that and went with them. When they came, they knocked on the door and asked for payment up front. I was busy so my wife answered and told them no. I'm glad we didn't. They ripped off the old ones, taking most of the fascia paint with them. They put the new ones on ok, and I caught them getting ready to leave. They didn't ask where to put one of the downspouts so they put it into a storm drain that we had already disconnected. I had to correct that. I also asked them if they found any rot and they said yes. I asked them to fix it and they said no way. I also asked them about the paint and they said I'd have to do that myself. I don't know if the company doesn't do that kind of thing, but if they don't, they absolutely should have told me before putting on new gutters. If I want to fix that, I have to take them off, fix everything up, and re-attach them. I called them to come fix this problem and they sent a different guy out who said everything's fine. The problem is obvious - paint is missing and if you touch the fascia wood, it's clearly rotting. I regret not pushing this guy harder. I called them again last week and got a voicemail again. I rose my voice and said they need to come fix everything. The receptionist called back and said she's gonna have Lonnie call me back. He called me end of last week, I called back, and I'm waiting to hear back from him. Expect a ton of phone tag with these people if you have any problems. It's been a while now since they came and did a shit job. I basically paid a big markup for them to go to Home Depot, pick up some gutters for me. The work they did putting them up was useless. Don't go with these people. You're better off hiring a handyman or just doing it yourself. read more

JT's did a great job for me fitting a small job in before the rain gets too bad. I had a poorly install gutter that was leaking water all over and starting to dry rot the house. They made some time in the schedule, and did it right, including testing with hose on my request. read more

One star is "Not good" and two stars "Could've been better" and I definitely struggled with what would be fair and finally settled on one star. My reasons are justified too in that my complaints of two phone calls, and emails went TOTALLY unanswered. It makes me feel that since they had my $3800 , that JT was okay in no answer or contact was necessary. One of their worker's broke a $50 decorative pot, and I have a leak right at my front door with NEW GUTTERS. Somehow I think that deserves compensation and at call back. I will need a new roof soon, and I can definitely will tell you I won't be using them. My recommendation is select someone else. It isn't worth the heart burn. read more

I made an appointment to have my gutter repaired and they never showed up to the appointment time. They also never contacted me and when I sent them an email they had no idea why no one showed up to do my work. They didn't even contact me. It was weeks later when I finally reached out to them. Lonnie was our estimator. He came out, got the quote right away, and gave him the go ahead. It was the best price. The improvement area is communication with the customer. The first appointment was a "maybe we can do it Friday?" Never got a confirmation that they were coming out Friday. Got a call at 3:00 pm on Friday that they couldn't make it. That they would call me and let me know when they could make it. Never got a call. On Monday morning a little after 8 they show up. The installers say "did anyone call you? " NO. I wasn't expecting them yet. They did the job, results were fine, But shortly afterwards Lonnie called for payment, couldn't call me with a time or date for installation, but he had time to call for payment. So the installers did fine, but if you want communication this is not your Guy. read more

We love referring companies that we work with (Electricians, Painters, etc.) on our home and have been very fortunate to have great success in working with different contractors over the years. I cannot say the same about JT West Coast Gutters, and would advise anyone looking to have their gutters replaced look elsewhere. It took three separate visits to get the gutters right, as we discovered issues over the course of 10 months. First of all, they left the jobsite and absolute mess upon completion. Nails, hangers and debris were left all over the property and it was apparently on us to clean that mess up (photo below). Besides it looking awful, we have two young children and a dog who could have come across the shrapnel left all over our yard. Additionally, the lower gutters were not properly hung, as I went to clean out gutters in the early spring and the hangers used to hold the gutter were not properly installed, as the gutter was barely hanging onto our house. We were also charged for a number of cleanouts, that were simply never installed - even though they were part of the bid we paid for. Upon identifying the issues in the spring, a crew came back to fix the issues that I had personally noticed in our lower gutters. At some point while working in my office, I could hear two of the men yelling and swearing at each other, then one of the men threw a drill from the ladder at one of the other crew members. I was horrified and called Lonny to notify him of the behavior, along with the Nest Camera footage of the incident. Finally in the fall when cleaning out leaves, the back lower gutter which I found out was improperly hung, almost fell to the ground as I lightly pull some leaves out. And our gutter cleaner that we have used for many years, noticed the upper gutters had improperly spaced hangers - meaning it was only a matter of time before issues arose. As I contacted Lonny for the third time on this issue (and he had assured me in the spring the gutters were fine), he sent a crew out to finally correct the work. The crew who arrived fully replaced the back lower gutter stretch and said it was improperly installed, and they were surprised one section did come detached simply from a heavy day of rain - which is not exactly what you want to hear when paying for brand new gutters. The entire interaction was as bad as I have had with any type of contractor we have used. I can chalk up people having a bad day as we all do, but after three negative experiences and questions in the long term of how the gutters will hold up, I cannot express in enough words how much I would encourage someone looking to have their gutters replaced to go elsewhere. read more

We needed a total gutter system replacement on our home in the Banks area. They discussed the options for our custom home design and the surrounding landscape and forest. They made recommendations, advised what was best, what was actually needed, and did not try to oversell. The price was very reasonable. When the smoke from the fires created bad air quality conditions, we needed to reschedule a couple of times. They were more concerned than I was that the job get done and that we would get taken care of before the rain set in. The installers knew what they were doing, answered questions, and made sure any special items were done to my satisfaction. Clean well installed equipment. I discovered that other people I knew had used this company and said they had done a really good job. Everyone from the office to the work crew were very professional and curteous.
