Third time I needed to pump the tank I called them and they said they had some big job and couldn't come for several days. Several days came and they said the truck broke down and would call back. They never called back. This was probably the best thing. I asked my neighbor who he uses and had that other company come out. I was there and was shown and explained quite a bit. It turned out (and I didn't know any better) but Duncan's never emptied the tank. I was told that what was in there had clearly been in there for a while. I thought back to when they came last time and the guy was just swishing around the pipe in the septic tank for no more than 10 minutes. This other company spend 45 minutes and I saw that the tank was actually fully cleared.

And I also heard the alarm go off several years before it stopped alarming. So it was with much trepidation that I called Fyock. I think I used them before along with Fogel. Well, the news was not that good but it could have been much worse. It was almost filled to the max and the pump needed to be replaced. They had to do it in 2 visits - one to pump out clean and then the 2nd to replace the pump and the alarm. The total cost about $3600 . Not so great but the alternative could have been devastating. In this day and age, I am trying to always look on the bright side/. They scheduled everything and came out on a timely manner and took care of everything, I am grateful for their professionalism.
