Recently remodeled, this hotel is a great bargain. The rooms are brand new! Nice vanity and granite finishes, new bathroom with tile shower, fridge with freezer and microwave, desk and table with chairs to sit at. The bed is new, Eastern King with 6 plush pillows on it. The hotel is well kept - nice grounds with a large pool and hot tub with clean hot water. Family friendly. Nice area. Lots of restaraunt a around. We paid $100 for our room Expedia; this room could easily have cost $180-200 and is comparable to Hampton Inn and Suites. For breakfast the spread is more than we expected. Hot biscuits, sausage and eggs, bagels and muffins, hot fresh coffee, fresh fruits, oatmeal, cereal, etc. We'll be back! read more

Arrived at the hotel in the evening. Got to the room, no towels. Asked for the towels and some guy brought me 2 towels and said "sorry, this is all I got" no wash cloths!! No soap. The bed foot protector clearly stained. The ironing board is a mess. The bathroom hook is broken. The fire detector is covered in plastic.... The hotel is severely outdated and no matter where you go, there's a smell. Near the second entrance (near the exercise room) it consistently smells like mildew and cleaning products. My worry is somewhere there is mold, probably under the carpets. The female receptionist wasn't very helpful, but the younger male receptionist was kind. The room was fine, mattress was nice and it was nice to have a balcony and a small table inside the room. The bathtub drain was broken and wouldn't stay up so upon arrival, there was a a decent amount of water in the tub. The pool wasn't accessible, which sucks cause it was hot. Loved all the stray cats though. It's a beautiful property, just needs to be updated. Oh and there was a dead cockroach in our room. read more

DO NOT STAY HERE. A once beautiful hotel is no more. Very sad. Grossly mismanaged. Shiloh Inn in Yuma AZ is negligent and willfully being mismanaged. From my observation, there is not one single employee that is qualified to the job they were hired to do, starting with the manager at the front desk, Alex who seems to argue with guests over every issue and shows customers disdain. The hotel is very, very dirty. The carpets throughout this hotel need to be need to be deep cleaned multiple times to remove the stains and oders. The lighting in the hotel is dark and dingy. The towels are old, thin, stained and they have no spare towels at all whenever we ran out. The shower and faucet pour water at the same time, can't shower or bath comfortably. Tub filled with water from years of other guests hair building up in the drain. Absolutely disgusting. Garbage over flowing at the pool and outside the building. Young people partying at the pool, possibly teenagers of employees allowed to stay out till all hours disturbing the guests and with no parental supervision. Feral cats that are very sick, filled with ticks/fleas roam the grounds when they should be picked up by animal control to find them homes. Guests with large dogs allowed to roam the entire property off leash. Trash and liquids at the side entrance door all over the ground, not picked up the entire time we were there. The condition of this hotel is delapidated. All vegetation is diseased and dying, and I pointed this out to the maintenance man & he explained the owners don't want to spend money keeping this hotel in good condition. I also informed Alex at the front desk about the vegetation having some kind of fungus/beetle spreading to all the other vegetation, whether he contacted the the State Agricultural Department to come out and test the plants is unknown, but I did tell him it needed to be done before it was too late. The owners of this hotel are going to be very upset when they see the condition. I will be calling the Health Department and Corporate headquarters to notify them that this hotel is being grossly mismanaged and neglected. If they don't turn this around with repairs & professional staff, this once great beautiful hotel will no longer be salvageable. read more

This used to be one of my favorite places to stay. It is going downhill. I had to ask for a tv remote. No Kleenex. Peeling wallpaper. And the tub plug is down and won't stay up. I had to use the shampoo to hold it up so it would drain. The clerk Alex is extremely helpful. Kudos to him. He made my stay better with his great attitude. read more

This place is a little worn but you can tell it was beautiful in it's prime. I stayed here for a week while having dental work and loved it. I'm giving a 3/5 stars specifically for excellent customer service. I had trouble with the other hotel we had reservations at & needed 3 rooms ASAP. I called when I was half way to Yuma from Phoenix & got reservations right away. The rep couldn't answer my questions about the pool but I give her credit for trying (I think she was in a call center & not on site). My experience checking in was perfect, even got a better rate, & was able to get 3 rooms right next to our friends that we met there. I remember when this place we built & how nice it was at the time, however the rooms are in dire need of upgrades. The wallpaper is coming away from the wall, the mattresses are lumpy, the AC units are loud & sound like they may die at any moment, and there were hairs stuck to the tile near the toilet. Gross! We did enjoy the gigantic pool in the evening. Again, the customer service was amazing. So friendly & helpful. But this place needs an upgrade immediately. read more

Room is extremely dirty. Requested for towels to be brought up to the room since early morning and then again with the receptionist at 3p. Finally my husband went to ask for them again at 9pm and the receptionist gave him attitude. Will not recommend this place to anyone. Great location just old and dirty hotel. We've stayed multiple times while visiting grandparents and have always enjoyed our stay. The rooms are affordable and you always get a good night sleep. The room is a bit outdated but we've never really minded that, it's clean which is most important. I am sad to see they no longer do the breakfast, though I had guessed that would be a possibility with COVID, I'll be crossing my fingers that eventually returns. Also - one of the big reasons we stay there is for the outdoor pool and it was in pretty bad shape, clearly hadn't been cleaned or shocked in a while with a solid green tint to it. So if you're like us & book rooms based on pool options for kids you may want to call ahead and ask if the pool was maintained. read more

It is a clean place. A little run down. Sign says newly refurbished but that must be an old sign. Our room was okay. The wallpaper was peeling at the seams. The staff wasn't overly friendly but not rude either. Just young kids that don't understand what a service industry is. The desk clerk did change our room for one with a balcony so my wife could smoke outside. We had to ask for more towels. Only one hand towel, one wash cloth and two bath towel in the room. No extra blankets. Lucky we brought our own. Very dog friendly. Big grass area with dog poop bags and trash cans to walk your dog. There is an extra fee for animals but they didn't charge us. Why? Don't know. Nice pool area, hot tub, sauna and steam room and exercise room. But didn't have time to try them. My big complaint is NO Breakfast not even lobby coffee. Not even vending machines to buy it. They offer the broken yoke down the street but it's not close enough to walk to. No cross walks to go across to Denny's. Nothing close for breakfast food. Must get dressed and drive. Morning coffee was from their little one cup coffee maker and they don't have a lot of coffee pods to give out. I don't think I'll stay again. read more

I used to absolutely love staying in this hotel. Went for a week back in July and needless to say I will not use them again. Sure the price is decent through a third party however all the hallways are very dark and smell musty like they had a bad water leak somewhere a and didn't clean it. We wanted to go swimming that in itself was a whole other mess. The amount of dirt and slimy film on too of the water was nasty. Wasn't cleaned the first 3 days we were there and on the 4th day all they did was run a vacuum and skim the top. The room was alright the main entrance door was falling iff the top hinge so that had to be fixed and the bathroom doorknob was loose and falling apart as well. Housekeeping only came in 2 of the 4 days we were there at one point we had to leave our trash bags in the hall just so they got picked up. We cut the stay short and went on our way. The ac in the room had to be dropped down to 64 degrees just to be cool enough that be in the room to sleep. Had to buy multiple air fresheners because the room smelled musty. The owners definitely need to invest some money into fixing the whole place up if they want to continue to be around. read more

First room # 239 had a shitty smell .# 235 was in need of repair bathroom door/handle Pool needing cleaning Jacuzzi had 2 jets tho only one function. Bed / mattress was comfortable. Not my first choice for lodging best western was under repair for pool , reservations cancelled and referred to shilo Don't think I'll ever stay there again. The grounds were nice...lawn, shrubs, trees. But the place is in dire need of maintenance both inside and out. Here are a few pictures of our room. Walls were scratched up from the chairs, bathtub had a chip out of it, and the trim around the sliding glass doors was nasty! The common areas outside was filthy with lots of leaves and debris. Hand railing for the steps were pretty rusty...almost all the way in several spots/locations. Was fairly easy to get to and the price was reasonable but I guess you get what you pay for. read more

The staff at the Shilo Inn is phenomenal! The grounds and pool are also very nice. The rooms are kept as clean as they can be, but they are worn and have been getting worse with each visit. I have stayed there a minimum of 8-10 times in the last five months for work. The owners really needs to put some work into the rooms. I just cancelled a reservation for six rooms in April and made it at another hotel because of the way my room looked the last time I stayed at Shiloh Inn. I would be embarrassed to take my family and friends and have them stay there. read more

We've been traveling for a month from Cape Cod, Ma on our way to Ca. We have stayed in all kinds of hotels from a 1 rating to resorts. In Shilo inn we ignored the noisy a/c unit. The old bathroom and worn carpet wasn't even a big problem. But when they don't offer a cup of brewed coffee in the lobby (as every hotel we were in) did that was the line drawn. I had to get in my car and drive to a nearby coffee shop. When I asked "don't your guests want a cup of coffee in the morning?" She said, "I hear that all the time. I'm waking from a deep sleep jump up and ran out and didn't see anyone . I called the front desk , the front desk gets to our room asap . Changes the keys and had security around .. checked out and called the manager Kristen or something to that name.. and whoa !! She was horrible horrible person . Not a f you , not I'm sorry .. word for word she said .. as I see it .. "accidents Happen, no harm no foul"... UM... wait what !!!? That lady needs to be fired.. Do not stay here! I booked my room for Labor Day weekend and upon my arrival, there had been a storm that morning but cleared hours before I arrived. The reason I booked the hotel was because of the pool and other amenities. The pool was disgusting and green when I arrived while pools at other local hotels were cleaned by maintenance. I asked the front desk about cleaning the pool and said they didn't know when it would be clean but should be cleaned by the next day. I chose to stay with the hopes it would be clean the next day for my children to enjoy as the employees told me. The next day it was still gross and I asked the employees and they said there was no manager on duty until Wednesday because they are on vacation. Aside from not having towels in the room, leaking water everywhere, from days before and no roller for my luggage there was nothing they could or would do. I had enough and called Expedia since the hotel said they wouldn't do anything since I booked thru Expedia. I left immediately and didn't stay the second night and went to another hotel furious that I drove since LA for this trash and only for a waste of money. This hotel looks nothing like the pics online and the service is terrible because what manager on duty goes on vacation on such a holiday weekend? When I left I saw various other guests disputing issues and charges and the person at the front desk was only giving out the managers cards and saying "talk to the manager when they return next week". When it was my turn I asked how they couldn't have a manager on duty and he said "technically I'm manager when the actual manager is out". Very unprofessional! I will never book here again and I just got an email from Expedia that the hotel will not honor my refund request when I did not stay there after all the issues the hotel had! We have stayed there multiple times because we like the big grass area to walk pur dog. But every time we go we have problems even with a reservation. TV doesn't work, no coffee, no blow dryer, did have the room we asked for, but the worst is the staff - they rude, unhelpful, and really don't care. So we had a tournament in Yuma Arizona this weekend and from the pictures and previous properties we have stayed at we chose to stay at this property I was very disappointed when Christina told me that she was going to upgrade our room to a poolside room but since we checked in after 5 PM I guess she gave that room away and we were stuck with a room on the third floor that smelled like P could not get the animal smell out of our room plus there was red paint or blood or some sort of liquid on the carpet! I am extremely dissatisfied with this property the only thing good was the outside pool area but the pictures show there is a fire pit and there is no fire pit I do not like false advertising we will not be staying at the Shiloh property ever again! And you might want to let Christina know she should quit lying to guests just to get there business! We have 7 families that are not happy with there stay!! When I called to book the hotel I specifically asked if they were serving breakfast ? I was told they were serving breakfast and when we got to the property we were told they were not serving breakfast had we known that we would've stayed at the Holiday Inn where they do serve breakfast as advertised!!! I book a 2 bed queen size my husband is a big guy so we need a queen when we walked in our room I knew right away the beds were full size not queen they are very uncomfortable too it's like the middle is high so you get pushed to the edges. The service was great and room location was great it was like I said my husband is a big guy and trying to sleep on a full size mattress with him was horrible his feet were hanging off bed and we were squeezed together. Horrible night sleep and our bathroom door did not lock so I walked in on my daughter a couple times. Very clean, very nice room but the bed size was supposed to be queen we got charged for queen but ended up with full size not cool. read more

What a pain! We drove all the way from Los Angeles and couldn't check in for 3 hours. When we arrived around 3pm we were told that a large group had just left and no rooms were ready. I asked about how long the wait would be and was told they didn't know. We ran to Target and came back about 40 minutes later only to find out .. our room wasn't ready. The guy at the front desk told me that he could give me a king (instead of the two queens we booked) but our room was a suite and was so nice .... and ... we should wait because it was a way better room. We ran to Freddy's and just sat to kill time .... then we returned and .... our room wasn't ready. We left one more time and returned around 6:30pm. The room was finally ready. We go up to the third floor to the room (without a balcony overlooking the pool) to find ... a regular room. Nothing special. It wasn't that the room was bad, it was that I felt like the front desk guy was completely full of it. By the time we finally got to the room, our toddlers were fussy and we all were tired. I had to work the next morning and I was NOT a happy camper. When I asked to be moved to a nicer room I got a, "No". When I asked to check out late to accommodate a last minute meeting, I was told, "12:30pm" but my meeting began at noon, so that wasn't gonna work. I felt like I wasn't a valued customer. I felt like I wasn't heard when I complained. I come to Yuma two or three times a year for business and I won't be staying there again. read more
