Just what you want for a reflective time away from the cares of daily life. We were headquartered in a building that had everything we needed. Downstairs was the assembly/meeting area, with kitchen facilities and open area for congregating as a group. Upstairs, there were bunk beds for sleeping. The way they were laid out, you could choose to separate folks by whatever criteria you selected - we put those who like to sleep warm on one side, those who like to sleep cold on the other...and the stay up all night and party girls on the third floor. Bunk beds doesn't sound very appealing to an old gal like myself but I snagged a bottom bunk so all was good. There are PLENTY of beds so, assuming you don't bring a massive group, everyone should be able to wind up with whatever kind of sleep arrangements they prefer. I was surprised by how comfortable the mattresses were. Friends who'd been here in the past told me this is a definite improvement over what used to be provided. There's pond nearby, walking trails, places to hold a big bonfire, and close proximity to the town of Chillicothe, in case you forgot something or want to go out on the town for entertainment. You mostly don't see the management, though we were able to call them when we needed something and they came quickly to take care of whatever issue arose. (Like no hot water in the separate cabin where our guest speaker stayed!) One of the men also came over the day we were leaving and he was very pleasant. Even willingly stopped to do pictures of our group. I would definitely return to this place after such a pleasant experience.

This review is based entirely on Spirituality & Health's daily email newsletters; daily motivation…read moreemails; website health e-books; and articles. Despite I am not a spiritual person this website contains articles and literature on mental wellness and relationships. I find their e-book "Being Your Best Self... With Difficult People" very resourceful and helpful in my Sisyphean Task. With a calm mind in turbulent times one can accomplish any challenge which the insight from Spirituality & Health provides a holistic approach. There is also the emphasis of empathy and compassion in their articles. However, the holistic approach is not entirely overpowering nor aggressive but very subtle in their articles and literature. Amid the daily motivation emails are heavily cluttered with religious and spiritual beliefs which many are irrelevant for me. This January, 2024 marks two (2) years of my beloved family member's expiring; this June, 2024 marks thirty seven (37) years of another beloved family member's expiring; and this March, 2024 marks forty nine (49) years of another beloved family member's expiring which all are indelible for my continual grieving the unfathomable losses. I read and value Spirituality & Health's grief literature which is comforting and healing. With mindfulness self-care, resilience, compassion, and understanding empathetic I believe the world can be a better healthy processed living environment.
