Update your hours online. The sign says no open till 1pm on Saturday. Online it says open at noon. Glad I drove down here.

I love Shimmers. Their snocones are fairly priced, well-sized, and there are many MANY flavors. The gals and guys that work there are youngins, but not the snotty kind you usually encounter at McDonald's. Even when they're crazy busy, there are smiles and prompt service. My go-to flavors are silver fox and bubblegum crybaby. Be warned they do get super busy, but well worth it! read more

We used to frequent Shimmers quite a bit but got addicted to Island Ice at NW 50th & Meridian (now closed!). So we thought we'd give it a try again and.... Not quite as good as they used to be. The flavors seem a little diluted and the ice isn't the same. Also, they've gone to using a Swedish Fish-like gummy bear...it's just not the same. Of course, the drive thru line is a wait, but they almost always are at any sno cone stand. Maybe we just came on an off day. Will try again later and update.... read more

I haven't been to a snow cone stand in years...maybe even decades...so I thought I'd take a trip back down memory lane and have an icy treat. The selection of flavors was extensive and the prices seemed fair. To be honest, I didn't know what to expect with regards to flavors or prices, but I didn't feel I was being shorted in the least. I opted for a small cup, but looking back probably could have settled for the kiddo cup, as the small cup was pretty big in my opinion. I didn't have any real expectations as I knew it was just sugar and ice, but for what it was, it made me happy and I left with a smile! read more

My favorite place for snow cones! My favorite flavors are Thunder and Cake Boss. They have several locations around the city including Edmond, Expressway, and May Avenue that I know of. They have punch cards that you can use when you purchase a snow cone. For every 10 snow cones, you get a free smoothie or small snow cone. The location in Edmond opens year round and service is great! Everyone who works at Shimmers is always smiling and friendly. read more

We waited in line for a bit which wasn't a big deal but when we got our two medium sno cones, they were missing syrup in the middle throughout the sno cone. We turned around and requested additional syrup because we didn't want to hold up the long line... I had originally ordered black cherry and cherry but they put cinnamon in it instead. I gave up. Went by this evening at 7:35, well before the 8:00 close time on the window. Young lady inside would not serve us. We couldn't hear what she was trying to tell us because she wouldn't open the window. Not a good visit. read more

There's nothing quite like a snow cone on a hot day. My husband and I were shopping in the area and decided to drop by. Luckily there was no line as it got busy after us. I chose black cherry and white coconut, and he had the Miami Vice which is strawberry and pina colada. They have a great variety of flavors. The small size is just $2 and was plenty big for me. I probably could've gotten the kiddie size even. I like that they automatically come with a gummy bear on top too. They also have a punch card for buy 10 get one free! read more

Closing hours are either wrong or the employees don't know what time they close. Lady rolled her eyes as I walked up at 9:00 when everywhere says 10:00 and mouthed we're closed to me. Didn't even have the courtesy to open the window a tiny bit to let me know. Change your hours if you're not really open at 10! read more
