We have used other window and gutter cleaners in the past. Other than the need to climb up a ladder and go on the roof, this is not a particularly high-skill job. We were happy with the work done, but the person was rude when we asked him to be careful when lifting the gutter grills from under the edges of the shingles. After having difficulty with another window and gutter company (2nd time this year), I decided to look for another company. I found Shine Again on Yelp and saw all the great reviews. I'm in Des Plaines and they are also located in Des Plaines, so it was another box checked (shop locally). Rad called me within minutes of leaving a message and came out the same evening on his way home from the days work to meet with me and go over the project. A week later, Rad came over yesterday and I have never been happier - glad I made the decision to leave the other company (Glenview) behind. Total professional, attention to detail, careful, and very organized. I built my home about 30 years ago and out of all the companies that have been here to clean gutters and windows, no one has ever done an extensive and thorough cleaning like Rad performed - two of my down spots were completely clogged and who knows how long they have been like this! All gutters and down spots are cleaned by hand and flushed with a hose to make sure there are no clogs along the way! Imagine that. Then and air blower is used to get everything off the roof and gutters. Rad was with me for most of the day dealing with 72 window panes including a 2.5 story front entry and 2 story gutters. Windows get hand scrapped (carefully) where needed - then washed. Window sills cleaned inside and out and the casement windows where opened to receive a thorough cleaning inside the sills - never done before by any company. I will definitely be using Rad again.
