All of the muscles in my legs are killing me right now need I say more?…read moreThe Pilates Soul Studio is a cute little gem in the heart of downtown Collingswood. I came here for their TRX class which was terrific. Because the room and class size is small you will get seriously individualized attention. Your form will be corrected, you will get direction & feedback to ensure that you don't hurt yourself and that you are getting the most out of your workout. My first class was free, I wanted to sign up for more immediately after the workout. I don't care how in shape you are - you'll be huffing & puffing here. Booking a space online is easy breezy & there is a MindBody app that makes it even easier from your phone - reserve your class early, they fill up fast!

I was looking for a studio close to my parents place on a recent visit. Since I work with the…read morereformer regularly, I was keen to find somewhere that offered more than just a mat class. I found Angela's studio through yelp and contacted her immediately. For me it was great to hear Angela was Polestar qualified, as my teacher in the UK is also Polestar trained! I am currently pregnant so wanted to make sure she was comfortable working with me. She replied shortly after and told me she's been working with someone who is due in the coming weeks. I immediately signed up for a class for the 1st day I was in town. Angela warmly welcomed me to her lovely and clean studio. She grabbed all my details and we got started. I signed up for an equipment class so expected more folks to turn up. However, she said she didn't have a minimum class size so I'd be getting a 1:1! It was a fantastic surprise. I had an amazing session with Angela. She kept me working hard the entire time. It was just what I needed after a long haul flight. I can't wait to get to my next class!

I feel kind of bad writing this review, since I belonged to this gym for a number of years, but a…read morelittle constructive criticism is exactly what this place needs. Before I get into any of that, I just want to state the positive~ I have always felt very comfortable going here, and for a small gym, there didn't seem to be anything missing with respect to cardio and resistance machines. The price is right and fresh towels are provided, which is a great feature. Also, I love the look of the gym~ tons of brick and wood with exposed ceilings. They had the industrial look going before every other place had it too. Over the past year or so, there have definitely been some regressions. At least one or two treadmills are out of order at any given time, and of the ones that do work, some of the buttons do not--specifically, the one that slows the belt ("Jane, stop this crazy thing!")! Also, about half the time, one of the treadmills is occupied by the person who is supposed to be working the desk, and not just when the gym is empty. On numerous occasions, there were people waiting for a treadmill while one or two sat out of order and another was taken up by a gym employee. Are you kidding me? One of the resistance machines has a rope attachment that has been worn down to its last few threads for quite some time, one or two of the TVs have been broken for months, etc. These things could all be easily taken care of and should be. It's understandable that not everything is going to be perfect all the time, but after a few of these things started adding up with seemingly no change, I reluctantly decided to move on. In the past, I would have given this gym four stars, but now I can't see giving it more than two with all things considered.

I joined this gym in Oct/2013 when Lucille Roberts closed its Delran location. Since I am not…read moreathletic and am fairly early in my weight loss journey, I was concerned about going to a coed gym with a dedicated free weights area. I had nothing to fear- this gym has a diverse group of people, and I have never felt judged there. The facility is clean and bright, the equipment is well-kept (and there's plenty to go around). There is a dedicated room for group classes (mirrors on walls, hardwood dance floor) as well as a dedicated spin room. The staff is friendly and helpful and do not try to sell unnecessary services (which has been typical of my gym experience prior to RH&FC). The price, which is moderate, includes great hours of operation, tanning, a variety of group classes, and a free consultation session with a trainer (w/new membership). They also offer a 10-day trial if you are unsure whether it will be a good fit for you.

I have called repeatedly and no one answers the phone and have emailed them and it is an invalid email address. I was actually able to get a hold of someone 6 weeks ago who said she would take care of it and refund my money back but they have yet to do so. First - barre was new to me and so I certainly wasn't use to this type of activity. For me, this was one intense workout that made me drip sweat like a land beast. I was sore after every class and really felt it in every muscle not just thighs or arms. Second - they have a lot of classes. You need early? They have early. You want late? They have that too. There is a class that will fit into your schedule and that's handy for someone like me whose work schedule isn't the same every day. Third - It's convenient and it's an attractive space in which to work out. Why does this matter? I don't know that it does, but so many people who write reviews always comment on the space if it's old, outdated, crusty, raggedy, etc. This place is new, modern, clean & cute. It's easy to get to, I never once had an issue with parking & there is a coffee shop literally 3 doors down for your post workout caffeine fix. Ok, so all that & only four stars? Well, it's small and the five classes I attended were all packed. I always felt like I was on top of someone or that I might kick someone if I didn't pay close attention. They don't have a changing room, I didn't know that for my first class & showed up in my work clothes & a gym bag. Their only restroom is inside the studio so you'll need to wait until class is over to go in there & change. That first time there was a queue of people who just finished working out waiting to use it and then me waiting like a dope to go change. I changed at work after that initial class. As a workout it is probably five stars, but as a whole, I never really felt fully comfortable there. I always felt like I was doing it wrong but seldom if ever got corrected. I always felt too clumsy, too sweaty, too frumpy, too fat, too much - but that's my own hang up not theirs. It's a great work out and fit in nicely between kickboxing & the gym. If you're going to give it a try, do yourself two favors - first, spend the $16 and buy the barre socks right away. Second, try to take at least one class with Marla - she was so encouraging and motivating, I wish she taught there more often but no matter who leads, you're going to get a great workout.
