The teacher/owner is VERY UNPROFESSIONA! She does not communicate with parents. She will also talk about you to other parents behind your back and also talk about you to other parents with your child in your room! she has repeatedly put children at risk and in danger. She is very deceiving beware! read more

The owner/ teacher is absolutely AMAZING!! I can't say enough about this studio. It's an extremely clean environment and very welcoming. Both of my girls started 2 years ago and we couldn't of found a better studio or teacher. I highly would recommend Shining Starz to all my Family & Friends!! read more

This is more than just a great dancing/acrobatics school. It's so much more. My daughter started 2 and 1/2 years ago at the age of 5. She immediately bonded with Miss. Theresa. Her knowledge, her patience, her skills in every form of dance she offers/and teaches she has full knowledge of and awareness. She not only made my daughter feel comfortable excited etc. Here we are now over 2 yrs later with my child thriving in every dance (every discipline offered) and in general. She has made amazing friends and knowing Miss. Theresa is trained and exhibits to the students the importance of safety, nutrition I never ever worry about her being in the best dance school and coach/teacher/ role model because I have 0 reason to.I am always aware of what the schedule is months in advance and Theresa always puts the children's needs 1st, and always keeps me fully informed. We love our Shining Starz family!! read more

Miss Shine is a wonderful teacher. She is highly skilled, patient, encouraging and very kind. We are so happy to have found a dance school where everyone is friendly, without the usual "clicks" that can be found in other schools. We will be with Shining Starz for many years to come and highly recommend it to other families. read more

We signed up for 5 classes about 1 month before our wedding. We told Karen (our instructor) what our song was (Take My Breath Away by Berlin from Top Gun) and she choreographed and taught us how to do an amazing dance! She was so positive and was able to us to create a dance we were comfortable with and that looked great in such a short amount of time. Karen is very knowledgable and professional. She knows how to teach the same concept different ways to ensure learning and retention. When she gives feedback, she's sincere and is always positive. Karen really worked with our schedule to meet our needs! My husband and I had such a FUN time learning and working with Karen. Our wedding guests are still talking about how great we looked during our first dance! Thank you to Dance in Rhythm for helping 2 of the shyest people (who hate dancing) to be able to have a beautiful first dance together! We stumbled upon Branford Point after seeing tons of private beach roads nearby and a quick Google search for a public Branford beach. Parking was possible, but limited: I imagine in the summer high season that it becomes difficult for anybody that lives outside Branford to visit. Though it may be small and packed, the challenge in this case would be worth the breeze from Long Island Sound, the sights of nearby Thimble Islands, and the peaceful vibes I found at Branford Point.

When you sign your children up to a dance studio, you want to make sure that the teacher is a good role model and has a safe and clean environment for them. I can say whole heartedly that Theresa is an exceptional role model to my daughters and creates a clean and comfortable environment for them to enjoy dancing. Theresa is a sweetheart and is a very talented dance teacher that goes above and beyond for her students. I love the family atmosphere created here and I look forward to continuing to watch my daughters learn and grow as dancers. read more

My daughter has been a dancer at Shining Starz for the past three years. Miss Shine is one of the kindest people I've ever met. She genuinely cares about each of her students. Their well being comes first and foremost to her. She is professional and knowledgeable, but also very gentle with her teaching and expectations.
