Here's the issue, the bartender literally messed up all of our old fashions. We brought it to their attention and they still charged us even though we did not drink. We asked for something else instead but they just tacked it on the bill. They also charged 22% gratuity, which is ridiculous. Typically the standard is 20%. Horrible customer service! When we arrived we were greeted by the doorman who asked for our IDs, patted me down, and checked the inside of purses (typical for an after-hours spot). I sat with some friends on the general admission side and my server was a girl named Shay or Shayla and she seemed to be a decent server but that soon changed. I had ordered the steak & potatoes but the steak was very tough and I wasn't satisfied. I wanted to either exchange it for something else or have it taken off my bill but the server never came back for me to ask for the option. My friends and I were moving to the vip section side so we had closed out our tabs pretty quickly.I approached the bar and told the bartender about what happened and how I was unhappy with the food & that I hadn't seen my server. The bartender said that they could exchange the food for me with no problem and it just so happen at this time Shay was approaching the bar. The bartender told her to exchange the food & that we would be moving to the vip side & she said ok and that when the food was ready she would bring it. Well 3 hours passed and my food never came. I went to the bar again since she helped me before & she seemed shocked that I never got my food. She went and got the Shay girl and asked her what happened to her food & literally right in front of me she said 'I have no idea what you're talking about' like are you serious at this point!!!! The bartender was the only one to apologize for the situation and the Shay girl basically walked away like she didn't have time to deal with it. This location used to be a really nice urban lounge called SoHo. However, when I went to see what the new owners did with the space, I was shocked! The decor was fine, but the prices were outrageous! They charged $20 for one hookah flavor, which is about $7.99 at other hookah bars. The food was sub par, and the sliders were extremely dry. I had to leave all of the bread on the plate for fear of choking. They make you pay for bottled water, which they can just give out for free from the tap like a normal restaurant! My friend and I ordered the "fish bowl", it was huge! However, it tasted like watered down blue koolaid;and had no effect on us whatsoever. We actually paid for extra shots to place into the bowl. They wanted $40 dollars for the "fish bowl", but dont tell you the prices until the check comes. We also got charged $20 dollars in gratuity for 2 of us having 2 appetizers and 2 drinks. I am not a cheap person and had no problem paying the bill. However, I expect to get what I paid for. This place is a total rip-off, so save your money! The server did not have good customer service. For starters she stated after we ordered our hookah that there was a One drink min which after ordering drinks we later found out from the owner whom we asked to speak with that there was no Drink min until after 9pm. We had gotten there at 7:45ish. The next issue happened when our hookah became very harsh to the point we couldn't smoke it after On 36min of having it. We searched down our server to ask for a coal change thinking that this would help however it did not so we searched for the sever again to see if she could fix it she then said that it's probably because the tabaco is burnt We then asked if it could be changed and then she said it would be $9 for them to change it! Keep in mind we have only smoked for 36minso this is crazy. We then just asked for our check and to speak with a manager. When we received our check the sever added gratuity for a party of 4 which according to their menu is not applied until after 9pm At owners discretion.
