TLDR: Don't trust this guy! He cuts corners, hides customer credits, and has a hard time keeping…read moregood staff in place. A couple years ago, Mr. Charley put in a crown with a 'normal' shape instead of matching my original tooth shape. Apparently, this mis-shaped tooth created friction against the lower tooth which over time caused the tooth underneath the crown to crack, resulting in me having to get (and pay for) a new crown. I requested it be molded to mirror the opposite canine tooth so it at least looked the same, but when it was fitted, it was slightly larger than the other, so it caused grinding with the lower tooth again. Instead of correcting the size/shape of the crown so it didn't hit the lower tooth, he convinced me that shaving off part of the protective enamel from the HEALTHY tooth was a better option. In retrospect, I wish I had pushed back more because friction against that over-sized crown is apparently causing the underlying tooth to loosen within just 6 months. I went back to get it fixed and after watching his assistant begrudgingly eliminate infection or other causes he could pin on me, he tried to gaslight me into believing that it was my bite, which has been the same for decades, that somehow defied physics and shifted TOWARDS a resistance point over the last 6 months, rather than the crown being too big, so he wants me to pay for ANOTHER procedure to fix it. Not happening. The other insult is that I had to wait 30 minutes in the chair while he hid in his office and concocted that farce just to avoid having to admit a mistake. (he's probably been threatened with legal action before so is sensitive to admitting liability). This isn't the first or only issue I have had with Mr. Charley. Like other reviewers have noted, I also had a credit for over $200 that I wasn't informed about for months and I am still waiting on the check. I've even had trouble with his inept and ever-changing staff. I was once there for a cleaning and the tech tried to put on eye covers that were speckled with 'schmegg' like they had just been used! When I pointed it out to him, his response was to excuse it as 'evaporated water soap' and I actually had to insist on a fresh pair because all I got were excuses. On a separate visit, he tried to tell me that his tools were 'sterile' even though I could see residue on the mirror & metal. NOT STERILE. But when I asked for clean tools, he instead wanted to 'show me the cleaning machine' as if that would magically erase the visible evidence. Is that the same soap you clean the glasses in? Ewww.

I'm kind of torn with this review. I was receiving great care from one young lady in particular…read more Her and the dentist together was able to tell me what was causing the pain and sensitivity in my mouth. I got a procedure done to correct it but the thing about that is he (the dentist) had a STUDENT doing the work. I didn't realize until towards the end. She left way too much cement in my mouth which has been causing so much pain. I've gone back three times to address the issue. The young lady helped me out again the last recheck and helped relieve some of the pain but I kept being prescribed antibiotics for a potential infection. I'm still having the pain today! Not to mention, sometimes you have credits and I wasn't aware. I had a $25 credit that turned in a $300 credit and was paying out of pocket every time for a service. I never knew I had it until my insurance company sent me the report for what I'm responsible for. When asked, they told me that my insurance company paid too much. I immediately asked for an itemized invoice and it took almost a month to get my $300 back due to HR not being in an office and working from home. Overall, would I recommend? Maybe. It's not a TERRIBLE place but would I be going again? Probably not.
