I ended up finding a couple of pairs of shoes, and I wanted to also purchase some footies but the style I wanted were on a row too high for me to reach. I approached the employee who was standing behind the counter at the register near me, and who had previously offered to help me. I asked her if she could help me get the socks from the top row down and she mumbled, "sure I'll have to jump but I can try." I told her there was no reason to jump that I could have done that but I pointed to a ladder on wheels a few feet away and said I thought you could use that. There was a young man stocking but he wasn't using it at that moment. She got up on the ladder and I had to repeat myself a couple of times as I told her the ones that I wanted to see. She got the socks, pushed the ladder back to the other employee and mumbled something under her breath as she went back to the register. While I was trying to decide if I wanted the socks she asked me if I wanted already and did I just want the shoes. I tossed the socks on the counter away from my shoes, and said "I guess so. I wanted to see some other socks but I guess that's not an option" my sarcasm was lost on her. She said, "so just the shoes?" And she started to ring me up, but I was so put off by her attitude that I said, "never mind. I'll buy these on line instead." She stood there acting surprised and not understanding what had just happened. She was rude and I'm not going to spend my money in a store where someone is making smart Alec comments to me and mumbling under their breath as they walk past me. I was one of maybe three people in the store and it was about 30 minutes after they had opened so it wasn't a situation where she had been working all day and was tired. I've been there before and that same employee was behind the register making wise cracks. I can ignore that sometimes but not today. Someone else can have my business and my money. I love Skechers and will continue to buy them but not from this shop.

I was greeted when I walked in and a salesperson stopped by as I was looking around to ask if I was finding things okay. They have a pretty large selection of women's shoes as well as lots of sale shoes towards the back. You can also find accessories like socks and purses as well as knickknack type toys, etc. towards the front checkout. I was able to find the shoes I wanted fairly quickly, but they were a little limited in my size (6-6.5). I think you can have them order different sizes and get them shipped to you. They have a rewards program where you can earn points. The shoes I went with were cheaper at DSW than on Amazon. Overall I like DSW and think they have a good selection of different styles. It's nice to be able to try stuff on in person, especially shoes. Parking in this area is a bit of a nightmare as the parking lot is always crowded and it's not laid out very well.

This is a bigger DSW with a great selection for women, less so for men, and with the usual weak range of sizes on location. They must use some sort of odd formula that dates back to a thinner, shorter America raised on hard little baby shoes. They have no men's 10E at all, which is not that unusual a size. I know DSW carries this size because online I can easily find it. The brick and mortar stores are useful to come in and see the shoes, but if you have a wide, narrow, small or large size you're not going to go home with a pair of shoes from here. Since this is Western Michigan where there seems to be some sort of heavily enforced law that all salespeople be nice, the salespeople here are nice.

I saw The Northface, Fox, Hurley, Billabong, Silver, Sanuk and other recognizable, quality brands on my visit. Mixed in with these types of brands were lesser known, but still stylish pieces. I found a deal on a pair of fleece lined leggings too. While standing in line to purchase them, the women behind me said that she was buying her 4th pair of these leggings in a different color because they were the best leggings she's found at the lowest price. I'm wearing said leggings now and she has a point: these things are pretty comfortable, they seem well made, and the price was right. If I lived closer to Rockford, you would see me back in line here for another pair.

I've had one of the worst experiences at this store. I bought a pair of boots there, had them for a…read moreweek, and NEVER worn them. I just simply didn't want them. I went to go return them with the original receipt to get my money back, and a manager named Pam told me they could not take them back or return my money. I explained I was in last weekend, and never worn them. She still wouldn't take them. So I decided to call the supervisor of the store, and I kept getting someone on the other line saying they will send in my request. I called numerous times to try to talk to someone, or to see if my request was read. (This was within 2 1/2 weeks of the purchase) On the third week, the supervisor finally called, and during that phone call, the call got dropped. So I called again, no answer. I kept on them about my request, and finally the supervisor called back AFTER the 30 days was up and said there was nothing they could do. They purposely called after the 30 days so I couldn't return them and get my money back. I will NEVER go here again, I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone. There are plenty of stores within the outlet mall with better shoes, and better customer service.

They have helped me find items that fit well in the past with good advice on jean cuts and walked me through the online options (which they had good knowledge of) for things which were not in store. They also do a big business in return of online items so there is an entire rack of "online only" items so you might be surprised by that selection. The managers, Crystal and Abby, worked tirelessly to track down the pants and get them delivered to me. There seemed to be a few system issues with LOFT - the return address for the pants was a strange location that the store couldn't contact easily. The 1-800 number for LOFT was not helpful at all, the system didn't seem to be integrated with the LOFT stores. I had moments of frustration, but it was totally redeemed by the effort that Crystal and Abby put in. It was their helpfulness that has made me stay a loyal LOFT customer.
