Searching on Fandango, we came across Epic in Deltona. Right. Gotta be a mis-print. Nope. It's real. Serve yourself popcorn by adding just the right amount of salt & butter. Mix a perfectly-balanced Cherry Coke with your preferred ice. Sit in an uber-comfy reclining seat in the optimum row of your choosing. The big screen is magnificent. Fellow movie-goers were respectful. No phones. No talking. No horsing around. Just like the old days when fellow movie-goers had manners. It was heavenly. Our only quibble: the actor's dialogue was at times difficult to pick up clearly. With all the fantastic sound effects and great music, the speaking part of the sound system needs a little tweaking. Many nice places in Western Volusia and especially Deltona tend to get trashed when the necks & the punks start "doing their thang." Hope the locals don't find this place. We'll go back. Very nice.

They do not have a ticket box office like most movie theaters , if you didn't purchase your ticket thru fandango online you can use one of the kiosk located inside the building or go to guest services to purchase tickets, they do have a snack area to purchase some food items for the movie (popcorn,soda,candy) they even sell blankets for those they get to cold inside the theater. The theaters are nice and can fit plenty off people and like almost any movie place now you have to reserve your seats for the movies, the seats are supper comfortable and are like a recliner you can pretty much fall asleep while watching a movie. The staff here seemed friendly,we had no issues and we were able to sit in our seats a bit early to watch the movie. On Tuesdays they have a discount for movies which is great with how expensive the movies have become plus the snacks are not cheap either.

I asked about the Mexican Street Corn Gourmet Popcorn. This popcorn option is served in a single or a double size. I decided to try it and ordered a single. I then ordered a large fountain drink. We got the popcorn and were given our cups. The fountain drinks and Icees are self served. There are Coca Cola Freestyle and Icee machines available on both sides of the concession stand. The Mexican Street Corn Gourmet Popcorn was delicious. It was coated in queso and had a hint of jalapeño. The queso did stick to my fingers while eating. Having hand wipes or sanitizer with napkins are helpful to clean fingers until they can be washed. The IMAX auditorium was clean. The seats do not recline but were comfortable. While we were there, we observed a medical emergency. The AMC staff responded quickly and administered aid until Fire Rescue arrived.

The Sorosis Club of Orange City is a woman's civic organization that was formed in 1948 by a group of local women with the goal to enrich their social life, contribute to the betterment of the community and the welfare of children by supporting local improvements through civic and philanthropic endeavors. This is their 46th year putting this Halloween event on and it's a wonderful way to support the organization in their efforts. The Theme is Blackwood Castle which will take you back to the year 1348 during the grim days of the Black Plague, Spooky! Tickets can be purchased in advance online at https://sorosiscluboforangecity.com/haunted-house.html or you can buy them when you arrive at the ticket booth. There are several other ways to support the organization while you are there, such as purchasing a snack, drink, or meal. They have plenty of candy, chips, hot dogs, burgers, small toys, and decorations for sale at a reasonable price and all of the proceeds go to keeping the organization going. The members/volunteers working the event are so friendly and do a fantastic job. There must be 20-30 young actors working inside the haunted house, it is almost overwhelming because they all did such a great job with their costumes and interior decorations its difficult to take it all in. One thing to note is if you have sensitive ears, you might want to wear earplugs when walking thorough the haunted house. The actors are giving it their all (guttural screams and shouts), so just be prepared. Tickets are $10 for kids and $12 for adults and the haunted house experience is about 5-8 minutes depending on how slow you can walk through; however, there is a guide and a staff member following in the rear of the group, so they can, maintain a pace. In between groups, staff take small breaks so they can prepare for the next group. What is nice about this haunted house is all the staff are ready to go for each group. Unlike some haunted houses where you walk through and most of the staff is on break as guests are walking through. If you are looking for a great way to celebrate Halloween without spending too much money this is a great way to do it. The Haunted House is occurring between October 17th through October 26th (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday Nights Only), and times vary depending on the night. I will attach some photos with a breakdown of the times. I highly recommend stopping in for some fun while you still have a chance!

Outside of the venue they have places to get your picture taken they have a couple of actors Freddy and Jason and a Moss man. They also have little toys you can buy for the kids. They have snacks and also food hamburgers and hot dogs. Plenty of parking and the adjacent parking lot.
