I walked slowly to The Athens Theatre where Tim let me in to cool off and catch my breath. The MANAGER of the theatre let me stay in even with sound check!!! The play was fantastic, the seats amazing and production superb. I could have gone south really bad - but Tim and The Athens Theatre saved me from that happening. Thank you, Athens, Theatre, and Tim. You are simply the best.

Especially the orchestra, the nuns and the father! We are so very happy to see the Athens bringing back a lot of the golden era musicals like they used to have in 2017 and 18. The children, and all of the performers as a whole were amazing! I enjoyed it so much that I am bringing my mom today! I really hope that the theatre will be bringing back musicals like "hello Dolly", "The King and I", "Guys and Dolls", "Oklahoma", "Brigadoon", "The Music Man", "Gypsy", "My Fair Lady", and "Fiddler On The Roof" to name a few. We love seeing those musicals and bringing the younger generation to see it live. My niece enjoyed it the last time I brought her and it's different than seeing it on a DVD. The theatre is wonderful since the seats are comfortable and you can see from any seat in the house. Come back to the theatre!

I am extremely disappointed with my son's experience at Trinity Christian Academy. After attending…read moreboth preschool and the last two years at the school, his time there has been marred by a negative and dismissive attitude from the staff and teachers. The condescending tone and sarcastic remarks have taken a toll on his self-esteem and overall happiness. These past two years have been particularly damaging to his emotional well-being. The constant judgment and lack of empathy from staff have chipped away at his confidence and stifled his natural joy for learning. It's heartbreaking to witness the adverse effects on a child who is naturally joyful, full of humor, and eager to see the good in every situation. Unfortunately, in a school environment where teachers and staff often appear unsmiling and are quick to label behavior as disrespectful or disruptive, it becomes nearly impossible for a child to hold on to their sense of humor and positivity. While my son is not perfect--no child is--he is full of life, curiosity, and a genuine love for learning. However, his experience at this school has left him anxious and unsure of himself, constantly second-guessing every word and action, as if walking on eggshells. No 10-year-old should feel this way during such crucial formative years. Children deserve to feel safe, to ask questions, to explore, and to make mistakes as part of the learning process. I deeply regret enrolling my son in a school led by unqualified directors and teachers who seem ill-equipped to manage their responsibilities. Their approach, rooted in harshness and excessive control, is not only ineffective but also harmful to a child's education and emotional development. Children thrive in environments that nurture their curiosity, encourage their voices, and support their individuality--not in places that suppress them. Additionally, the leadership exhibits clear favoritism, often granting leniency to children of friends and pastors, despite behaviors that are far more disruptive than my son's. This inequity creates an unfair and toxic environment, undermining the values of fairness and respect that should guide any educational institution. Led by favoritism for children and family of friends. There are plenty of Pastors children who behaviors are worst than my son, yet they get a pass each and every time.

The most incongruous thing ever…read more A big, clean, orderly, well-managed movie theater in Deltona. Who coulda predicted this? Wanted to see The Odyssey on IMAX. Searching on Fandango, we came across Epic in Deltona. Right. Gotta be a mis-print. Nope. It's real. Serve yourself popcorn by adding just the right amount of salt & butter. Mix a perfectly-balanced Cherry Coke with your preferred ice. Sit in an uber-comfy reclining seat in the optimum row of your choosing. The big screen is magnificent. Fellow movie-goers were respectful. No phones. No talking. No horsing around. Just like the old days when fellow movie-goers had manners. It was heavenly. Our only quibble: the actor's dialogue was at times difficult to pick up clearly. With all the fantastic sound effects and great music, the speaking part of the sound system needs a little tweaking. Many nice places in Western Volusia and especially Deltona tend to get trashed when the necks & the punks start "doing their thang." Hope the locals don't find this place. We'll go back. Very nice.
