I cannot put into words how unprofessional and down right negligent this firm is! 3.5 years I had to fight for disability when I clearly qualified:(. Here's the worst and it's just one example of what I experienced..The attorney did not even show up to my appeal hearing!! The judge had to hang up and call the law firm:( I tried texting and calling only to have the attorney say and I quote "have them call Me on my cell@ I finally spoke with my attorney Friday before my Monday hearing.. I couldn't hear him very well and his reply was again I quote "Sorry I'm at my sons baseball game" SHOCK DISAPPOINTED is putting it mildly! I have so many texts emails and recordings that would drop most to there knees! Please, make sure when your battling illness and diagnosis that you SPEAK WITH THE ATTORNEY THATS ACTUALLY GOING TO REPRESENT YOU.. Shook and Stone will not be the ones representing you.. I wish I would of done this and filed on my own:(... It definitely would not of taken 3 Years:(...! I was diagnosed with Emphysema, Uncontrollable Hypertension, L4-L5 disc hurniation which resulted in a major back surgery (microdysyctomy) narrowing with calcified artiries in my atteties in my brain, Hypoximia and SEVERE PTSD associated with Panic attacks. Theses Guys are great! I found them online. I was in desperate need of some legal remedies so, I called them up. I briefly explained my delicate case to a legal representative over the phone and, I received a appointment for the following day. The following day, I brought in all my paper work that I could find with me and, tried to fully explain my delicate case in full detail to the claims manager. I wanted to amend this review. Even though the service was great, I'm quite disappointed in the unethical and misleading attitude of Casey. She promised me referral compensation upon the beginning of my case. I referred approximately 6-7 clients to this firm some of which already have settled and others in the process of. Upon asking Casey about my referral money I felt a negative and aggressive vibe from her. She gave me the round around w/ a bunch of excuses and basically told me no. She added she had to buy her car "new tires", like that is my problem. It's been approximately 2 weeks and I haven't heard back from her. Once the firm took the 1/3 of my settlement I feel like i was just thrown away. I think she forgot how important referrals are to a business.
