Five stars for a great experience shopping for shoes for work that could accommodate my foot shape well. There were lots of options here, the staff was friendly and really helpful, and while up there in price, the shoes seemed worth it. I ended up with a pair with very well hidden medical grade orthotics inside which have made a huge difference in for me. Some great, modern stylish options mixed in with more classic options so I can see this store appealing to woman of many ages. I'd return here again for sure. read more

It's not too often these days that you find a shoe store that only sells shoes. More than likely you head to a department store or a sporting good's outlet to buy footwear. So to see Shooz in Winter Park, I must say I was pleased. It reminded me of a time when people had to shop at individual boutiques and stores for their goods. This store gets two thumbs up from me too for being genuine, neatly organized, and fairly original. They primarily sell comfortable shoes for grown ups. Mephisto and Birkenstocks were two main names I saw among a few others. It was just nice to see only shoes being sold by people who knew what they were doing. I was recommended by my podiatrist to visit Shoooz to find some wider shoes that wouldn't hurt my feet. The shop is light and airy, and has a host of shoe brands that you won't find at a traditional shoe store. Most are from Europe, which is reflected in their quality, and in their price. I bought one of the least expensive pairs of shoes they had to offer, and it was still $120. The staff that I worked with were helpful in getting me get the size of shoes I needed, as all in the main room are for display only. Despite the influx of customers and the sizable number of shoes I requested to try on, the staff never seemed stressed or put out by anyone's requests. Overall, not an inexpensive shoe option, but a great shop to visit if you're looking for an especially comfortable pair of shoes. read more

I took back a pair of shoes that had rotted on the bottom and was told that I couldn't return them because they had dry rotted which was caused from not wearing them according to the owner of the store. The appearance was clear they had not been worn very much because I had kept them during Covid and not worn them because I wasn't going anywhere to wear them. They were Naot shoes and I have several Naot shoes that did not do that purchased at the same store. read more

I didn't want to run all over town to find Dansko shoes so I popped in Shoooz to have a look around. Surprise! Huge selection! I'm battling a bout of plantar fasciitis and Dansko fits the bill. I also saw that they have Orthaheel brand here too and that is another brand highly recommended. I asked to try on a pair of Danskos and Linda went into the back and brought out seven pairs of different styles so that I could try them on. She was so helpful, you will never get this kind of personalized attention in a department store or at Zappos. Their prices are more than reasonable and the Danskos I ended up buying were actually cheaper here then at Zappos. Small businesses like this need our support and I'm so glad I stopped. Parking was easy, even on a Saturday morning. I parked right out front. My shoes were on sale.. BONUS! Huge selection, great prices, personalized service. Can't beat that! read more

Shoooz is located on the north end of Park ave and offers higher end, hard to find shoes for men and women. I happily purchased my OluKai flip flops from here and was sad to see that they now only carry the mens line in the store. When I inquired where the womens OluKais were, it was offered to happily order them in- but I like to try before I buy. Apparently, the Well Heeled line took the place of OluKai, due to their extreme comfort and durability. The line looked similar to some of my Keens and Merrels, which I'm stocked and fine with for the moment. Maybe in the future. We were specifically there to check out the Mephistos for my friend who has numerous foot issues and is limited in what her orthopedist will let her wear these days. She happily frolicked and tried on some shoes, some available at a great sale price. Staff was again, very friendly and helpful. read more

Shooz sells exactly what the name implies...shoes and lots of them. Unlike most shops, this place focuses solely on the feet (no pun intended), which is nice. However, the kinds of shoes you will find here are not exactly what I would consider fashion forward. This is the kind of shop you go to for comfort...the kind of shop older people go to or those who have jobs that require standing on your feet for long periods of time. The main colors you will find are black, beige, brown and derivatives there of. As far as styles, go there isn't much diversity. It's either with or without laces, slip on or non-slip-ons...at least from what I could tell. I will say though, the shoes are definitely comfy, but not something I would purchase just yet...I haven't reached the point of not caring about fashion just yet. Their prices are not what I call cheap, but they're not too bad considering the quality and purpose. Good, comfy shoes are not easy to find these days. Plus, these babies are said to last quite a long time making the purchase worth the dough shelled out for a pair. The staff are very friendly and helpful from beginning to end. Shooz is a winner in my book, but as others have pointed out, you need to understand who the primary audience is for their product lines: people who want comfort. However, they have some lines that are hipper than others (Fly London, for example) and some that are hip enough and definitely for a younger set (Jambu, Teva, for example). You can also find your older-set orthopedics, and a lot in between (Berkenstock, Naot). Their shoes are good quality, they give you good service, and they stand behind your products. When my Jambus needed the straps shortened, they paid to have that done (and in the process I got myself a good shoe repair guy). I recommend this place, unless you are looking for stilettos and a lifetime of foot pain. read more

My prayers were answered a few years ago when I was introduced this incredible shoe store. I was a long time sufferer of plantar fasciitis. I was desperate to find comfortable shoes that I could wear casually and professionally. The staff was more than willing to help me and spent quite a bit of time educating me on why this shoe or that shoe would work better for me vs others that I had inquired about. In the end it was the Mephisto and the Orthoheel lines that worked for me and the selection that they carry is perfect still to this day. With the help and knowledgeable staff, I am happy to say that I no longer suffer from the pain I once did and my poor feet are no longer crying. Shoooz keeps me in the perfect shoes to this day!!! I love the small business customer service that this store and staff provide. I have developed a wonderful relationship with these folks and am thankful for them everyday. The following day, I stopped by. The salesmen were familiar with my issue and pointed me in the right right direction and gave me several price points for different styles I liked. Had a great experience buying shoes here recently. Linda knew what she was talking about and gave me a lot of attention but not in my way and stayed out of my way while I was walking around and trying on the shoes. I like to walk for a long time in the store before deciding, and it was obvious that she and the other staff had lots of patience. They carry good quality shoes here. Good experience buying my shoes. But my $150 Taos sandals broke after 6 months. When I called to find out what to do I was told to take it to to a shoe repairman. I called Taos instead. They have a one year warranty and they replaced them for FREE!. Shooz had no idea that their well sold product had a warranty? If I wasn't diligent in calling Taos myself I would have never know. And yes, the sales person has been there for years. Very frustrating! read more

They even referred me to another store for running shoes with my new arch supports. This place reminded me of my Birk store back home in Kansas and I will def be going back here again. I can't say enough about this shoe store or the employees. I went in to buy an expensive pair of shoes I had seen in another store but after all was said and done I got 2 pair and still saved $40+. Charles was great and worked to help me find the best pair of shoes for my foot. I have a really high arch and my feet were in pain from years of abuse. My boyfriend was pumped about finding a location who sold Birkenstock for work. When he called, he was told they had them in his size. Unfortunately, when he drove an hour to the store... he had to order the shoes because they DID NOT have his size. We have never received such bad customer service. The location did not include the discount that was spieled while he was looking at the shoes and influenced him wanting to purchase them. Support your local business!! The store said they would rush order the shoes but had he ordered them online he would have had them days ago. Since we arrived on a "tax free shopping day" to pick them up he asked to have the discount that was promised applied as well as the tax free. The woman was beyond condescending and repeatedly stated, "you young people try to cheat." No ma'am. That would be providing good customer service. Many business's will change the price of an item if it is discounted within a reasonable amount of time. Needless to say, I will not be returning. I would rather purchase an item online then shop at Shooz. read more

The other customer in the store got wonderful one-on-one service. Me, not so much. Perhaps I just was unlucky and got the disinterested salesperson. Or perhaps (and this is my suspicion) it was because I wasn't dressed in a way that screamed money, and the salesperson didn't want to waste time with someone when there might not be a commission involved. Either way, the store lost out on a sale and a potential repeat customer. All in all, It was a disappointing visit, especially in contrast to the service the other customer received.
