Within the past year I have been to almost every gun store in the Tri county area. I am relatively new to the gun scene and I wanted to do my homework. Prices are certainly a factor but more important for me is the feel and the comfort level of the store and its employees. I can happily say that I am now a member of Shoot Center. Both my wife and I enjoy shopping there and going to their range. As far as I'm concerned you will be hard pressed to find a better group of people passionate about what they do and eager to share that knowledge with you. Prices are better if not comparable to any where else you may go, but here you can buy and learn in confidence that not only do they know what they are selling, they are not condescending. Their first priority is safety and they convey the responsibility of owning and operating a firearm to every person that comes through the door. There is no overzealous macho condescension that you will find elsewhere just informative support and camaraderie. Not just a gun store, they are equipped to outfit any level of firearm enthusiasts. They have a large facility with a classroom and well outfitted lanes. If you are a beginner coming in to take a class and rent a handgun or if you are coming in to tighten your grouping and check out the tactical gear you will find what you need here. This is by far the best range and store in SW Florida. I have purchased a dozen firearms there and I'm always taken care of. Best service and they'll beat anyone's price. Absolutely excellent in every aspect. The range is why I joined. Well ventilated, excellent lighting, always clean, and a fresh complimentary target every time you come. You can bring your own ammo! No reloads, steel core, or other non-standard loads. Yes, you can shoot ARs and AKs everything up to 30 cal. Shot guns - YES! Buck and slugs only. I bought my 1st new weapon in a while there today. Walther PPS M2 under the LE 1st responder military program. Excellent selection and in stock! I'm retired military. Not too many stores offer LE discount weapons and have them in stock. I was a member at Shooters (Hanson st in FM) and Cody was outstanding but the bridge traffic made it a pain to go to regularly for practice. Shoot Center is right on Del Prado, a mile from home - I feel so lucky! I plan to shoot long guns tomorrow. I build ARs for fun but driving to Cecil range was a pain and I have a few that have never been shot. I'll update after because I don't know if my bench rest will fit on the existing furniture and I did not see any chairs to sight in long guns but I'm sure they will accommodate that customer base, you just get that feeling from the staff. I went shooting with my son yesterday and I was very impressed with their set up. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Also they had baskets of high quality eye and ear protection to use for free when shooting (less junk to haul to and from the range). Also it was really cool how you can buy ammo and targets on tab as you shoot. I'll be a repeat customer! read more

Very helpful staff. They don't make you feel stupid by asking questions. Helped me sight in my acog. Thinking about joining I recommend it.

The inside employees are fine. However, when you enter the firing range you are met and scrutinized by a very young boy who stands behind you during your time shooting and will not hesitate to criticize your style of shooting. I have visited this place and used the range over 10 times this year. The last three times I was told by different range boys how I should hold my firearm, where my finger trigger should be placed and how to properly release the magazine. I was in the military for 3 years and law enforcement for 34 years. I KNOW how to safely handle and fire a firearm. The last time I visited their range a new range boy stood directly behind me and before I could fire a round down range I was told by him "don't grip your firearm that way". I put my firearm safely away and walked out to the cash register to complain and I was upset and loud. Then this employee came over (I think he was the manager) to investigate. He did not help the situation and charged me range fees. This egotistical subject then escorted me to the front door and told me never to return. I will not and had no intention to as soon as I walked out of the range. FOWLER ARMS, THEY TREAT YOU RIGHT! read more
