This store is a welcome addition to the area. The prices are average and the products are fresh (Sale prices were good). The store is well lit and clean. There's parking in the front and back of the store. They have a good variety of products. My only negative is that they close at 8:30 pm, so that is a little tough when you work late. I am a little confused if the store is SeasonFresh or ShopFresh. The front of the store said ShopFresh when I went yesterday, but labels in the store say both. Either way, it's nice to have new, a local store.

Another new Asian supermarket to the neighborhood. Fresh produce and seafood. Prices are fair. Wish the parking lot is bigger.

There's definitely some New York City DWCP laws being violated by the seafood department here…read more Per the NYC DWCP website: In New York City, businesses selling goods by weight, like food, are required to deduct the weight of the packaging (tare weight) from the total weight to ensure customers pay only for the product. This is part of New York State and New York City's Weights and Measures laws enforced by the Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP). Tare Weight: This is the weight of the packaging or container that holds the food. For example, the weight of the plastic container holding deli meat. Net Weight: This is the actual weight of the food being sold, after the tare weight has been subtracted. Legal Requirement: Businesses must ensure scales are accurate and display the net weight of the product to the customer, and they must take into account the tare weight. Consumer Rights: Customers have the right to see the scale and ensure it is displaying the correct weight, with a zero or minus sign indicating the tare weight has been deducted. I bought three lobsters here at $12/pound. The seafood counter person took them out of the lobster tank dripping water, placed them into a large, heavy, brown paper bag (see similar photo I borrowed from another reviewer who had a similar experience - I discarded my bag upon returning home) and then into another large plastic bag. I asked the fishmonger politely if he could pour out the large amount of excess water ($12/pound for water is silly). He became extremely irate and said that lobster is composed primarily of water and therefore would not pour the water out of the bag. At that point, I didn't even endeavor to explain NYC packaging tare weight laws to him. Paid for my lobster, water and packaging and left. Fully understand that it's not easy to make profit in NYC, but sad that this market needed to resort to breaking the law to do so. Unfortunately this isn't the first time this has happened here, but this was the first time I decided to ask the seafood counter person about it. If selling seafood isn't profitable, it's not necessary to deceive customers, just charge more to cover your expenses or please, just don't sell it.

The place is a good source for quality halal meats. However, just like with any other grocery stores, costumers should be aware with product freshness, expired products and items that has sub-par quality. It may be wise to check products carefully before purchasing. The prepared foods, are often praised for being fresh, has acceptable quality and satisfactory. Plentiful street parking is available outside the store. As what I noticed the owner tries to keep the store clean, neat and organized. Some of the item prices are more affordable as compared to other well known groceries. This is where I prefer to purchase raw unshelled peanuts , so that I can cook fried garlic peanuts, and prefer to get fresh red delicious apples. Costumer service is not that preferable (a one time experience), I may describe some staff as dismissive, may lack empathy, or show no interest in solving the customer's problem, and I understand that each costumer experience may vary. Sometimes language barrier could be an issue. I've had an unfortunate experience here while recuperating from a recent surgery. After I was done purchasing some items and while I was pushing the grocery cart towards outside, a staff who is very anxious to help bring back the cart in place has forcibly pushed my cart resulting to minimal pain on my surgical site. I raised my voice at what the staff did, because of the commotion, I found out from another staff that the person who pushed my cart has language challenges, my sentiments were dismissed by the staff who informed me. "Water under the bridge". Due to minimal negative aspects, I just try to buy a handful of items to minimize unfavorable incidents, I just acquire those that I really needed which is really worth buying from this store as compared to other competitors.

There is a parking lot in the back of the supermarket but it is shared with Mad for Chicken and a few other stores on the same block. The supermarket is a good size and has everything you need from fresh vegetables, poultry, seafood to frozen foods (fish balls, soup dumplings) to ramen and sauces to packaged goods and snacks. It is clean. The prices are fair and about the same as other asian supermarkets in Little Neck or Flushing. There is a $10 minimum for credit cards. There were a good amount of cashiers and staff stocking the shelves. When I was checking out, the cashier didn't really interact with me but it is okay.

Produce is generally fresh, and the prices are reasonable - they have good sales, which will lure you in to stay and browse longer since they have no other similar competition. The parking situation here annoys me a lot. I'm sure the lot is shared by customers at the supermarket and MFC (and possibly the businesses next door), but they have an employee actively monitoring actual customers and cars coming in/out, and they can't even bother to make the lot safer and cleaner by putting back the carts (customers absolutely should do this anyway).
