I notified the store they said no problem, bring them in for an exchange. Not that I wanted another 25 mile trip each way to replace something I just bought that was either missing the strap and I just didn't notice (or) it fell off as being defective. I arrive at the store as I was told to do,The girl working even said that they fall off sometimes its happened before.The manager comes over and states that they cannot be returned because he could not put them back on the shelf and sell them as they have been worn. I asked "well why would you put something that is defective back on the shelf for the next victim " In a tone that I haven't heard since being scolded as a child. he cuts me off saying that "the answer is no !!!!" Wow. I only made the trip because I was told to do. I keep my mouth shut and as I'm walking out the door I hear him say" "Have a great day now" in a cowardly attempt to be a "wiseguy" His name was Joseph. Now I cannot attest to the screening process of the store managers there but My only question was why does this idiot think I do? Buy Crocs take a strap off and trade them in for another pair? Does he think I am running some kind of racket to acquire lone Crocs straps? Perhaps to sell them on ebay in a cunning attempt to screw the store out of ....well your guess is as good as mine. This was my very first transaction so i was using the 17% new customer discount so even if somebody is delusional about some crooked motive I had , How would this possibly benefit me in any way whatsoever? With the confrontational manner in which he spoke to me I can only imagine I look like someone that maybe stole his girlfriend or bullied his kid sister back in the day, I really don't know. Anyways the bright side to the story is I would have been back to purchase a Kayak set-up as soon as my truck was back in town.....This genius lost a kayak sale and all that goes with it to the Runnings store next door over a $40.00 pair of Crocs with my discount that were obviously defective in the first place. I hope to share my opinion with this idiot when I see him outside of his store..Long story short I had to drive 45 more miles to Willmar where they were more than happy to fix this ridiculous problem with a Defect label. It took a minute and a half of great customer service that a kind and helpful employee named Edna that showed me how a customer should be treated.I op will never shop at that store again. It wasn't a merchandise issue as the bad pair could not be sold to somebody else anyways. It was a weak person flexing their"Power" Cant wait to run into this poor excuse of a manager on neutral territory so I can tell this clown what I think of him.

Conversation went as follows: Me: hi I'm calling wondering if we could schedule an appt to look at bridesmaid dresses for this Saturday. Aubony: sure. Did you get your wedding dress here? Me: no I didn't. Aubony: okay, we only do bridesmaid dresses during the week. Me: okay, well I live 70 miles away in the cities. So that may not work. I can only do weekends. Could I just come in on Saturday and browse without an appt? Aubony: no, the dresses are in a back room and we would need someone to take them out for you. Me: okay, well is there any other bridal shop in the area? Aubony: no. Me: okay, thanks. Bye. I then called 3 bridal shops in new Ulm who obviously wanted my business more than aubony did! And all 3 places had plenty of openings and were super accommodating. My sister ordered through aubony a few years ago and was told shipping on the dresses would be free but it ended up being 18$/dress for shipping. Would recommend taking your business elsewhere. They are very rude.

However, both years they were only nice/helpful when they realized we were interested in their back room which has dresses that are priced over 500 dollars. They are not the least bit friendly there and it felt more like they were trying to hoard their dresses then trying to sell them to us! Very uppity, very rude. Would not recommend if you're looking for a designer dress because it's like pulling teeth trying to look or try on their "more expensive" dresses.
