I enjoy going to the Shops at Midtown because there is a good selection of stores to choose from, are conveniently at one location, and have the extra large parking garage attached to it. They have many popular shops there like Target, Nordstrom Rack, ATT, Ross, HomeGoods, Bath & Body Works, Carter's, Guess, Journey, Marshall's, Men's Warehouse, and many more. There are also restaurants like Tap42, Carrot Express, Chipotle, Starbucks, Five Guys, FK, Ichimi, Subway and many more. The restaurants and shops are affordable for all with good discounts. It is conveniently located off I95 at the Miami Ave exit. Just take a right turn and go straight a block or two. You can go left or straight, it's on your left if you go straight. Great outdoor environment! When I visited in April, they were still in the middle of constructing more high-rises and restaurants and shops, so I'm looking forward to what Midtown Miami will offer in the future. This area is spectacular, modern, and open, creating a perfect place to take walks with your family after eating lunch or dinner, for example. There are lot of stores, as well as a variety of restaurants. I ate at Sakarya Kitchen, which is a Korean fusion restaurant. I was only in Miami for a few days, but I would love to come back to explore some more. There is a beautiful mural of a phoenix and cherry blossoms for those who want to take Instagram pictures. There is only paid street parking available. It can be annoying if you see a spot on the opposite side of the street because you can't make a U-turn. By the time you circle around the block, the spot might be taken. read more

While I love the convenience of a somewhat formal version of Wynwood, the parking situation is certainly their biggest drawback. There's plenty to browse within this tiny Midtown metropolis but the dining and entertainment options is what keeps the crowds returning for more. If you're lucky enough to find a meter spot without circling the area at least three times then you're winning from the beginning. It's a solid spot to get some shopping on from recognizable conglomerates like Target, Marshalls and Ross while still offering some independent retailers as well for a healthy balance. Happy hour is what brings me here the most as many places offer discounted drinks making the nightmare parking ordeal less cumbersome. Plenty of noteworthy restaurants line the blocks offering the residents in the nearby condos viable options within walking distance. Whether it's breakfast, lunch, or dinner-you'll seem to find something suitable here. The Ross isn't the best in the area but when you're scavenging for a last minute bathing suit before hitting the beach, it can serve its purpose. It's got nightlife options as well with its variety of bars so it can be a circumstantially wise decision based on differing factors. Whatever you do, DO NOT LOSE YOUR PARKING TICKET from the garage entrance as you'll pay the ultimate price. read more

Now as a miamian i remember when this was just an open field back in the day now it's a epicenter of activity and great shopping along with people watching. This recent trip to Midtown my wife and I are Christmas shopping. I purposely came here just because i know she enjoys the downtown feel of Miami, well any city and we haven't been on this part of town in a few years. We parked in the garage and it seen not to be packed as we were going to Target but once we hit the elevator and got off on the first floor shiiiiiiiiit there were millions of folks crawling everywhere! I was blown away like are they giving something away here?!?! Nevertheless Target was Target nothing spectacular. Midtown has grown since my last visit over 6 years ago i would always hit Five giys who was brand new in Miami so i was there damn near every week! This has been my go since it opened. I come when I want to have lunch/dinner, when I want to walk around and do a little shopping or for my simple target runs every other week. They have a variety of stores from Marshall's to Homegoods, GUESS, and Simons. Also have a plenty of restaurants you can enjoy for breakfast like Angelina's to Brunch at Tap 42, lunch at Five Guys or dinner at Novecento. Years ago they had free parking for an hour in the garage but now it's either street parking (pay by phone) or the garage is $2 the first hour and it goes up by the hour. Midtown is an Oasis in the middle of an otherwise sometimes chaotic area. It's safe. Ample street parking, but even better parking garages that aren't priced ridiculously. I think they have found the sweet spot of pedestrian yet car friendly navigation, but both should still be vigilant - it can get trafficy. You can find a variety of big brand shops such as home goods, west elm, pets smart, target as well as some pretty good unique / chain restaurants options from casual to fine dining. This is built as a play where you work where you live type community for an average mid-point+ price consumer. I think they stay pretty true to this objective. read more

I used to love this shopping center. It has everything at all price points. I could buy a chic outfit at a bargain price at Marshall's before having swanky drinks at Sugarcane. My huge problem with this place is the parking. Yes, there is plenty of it. When it first opened, they gave patrons an hour or two for free. Then they started charging $2 for the first 2 hours, which I think is totally reasonable given that people probably park here and walk to Wynwood or to other businesses not in the center. Today, i saw that they raised the rates again. Now it is $2 for the first hour, $5 if you're there 2 hours, $9 for 3 and a whopping $17 for four hours!!! Just a quick reminder, the Gucci and Prada stores are in the Design District, not the Shops at Midtown! This price hike makes me far less likely to patronize businesses in the center. Even today, I hustled to get out of Target in under an hour to avoid the additional parking and ended up spending less than if I had more time on my $2 parking. Am I cheap? Sort of...it's kind of the principle of it. I might spend $20 at Montaditos, but then another $5 on parking??? This ain't Rodeo Drive. So, to whoever is running the parking here, take note. This new area is a nice walkable area, with a park and lots of shops - such as - Target, Ross, Marshall, Nordstrum rack, Guess etc. Easy parking at Target in the high rise there. Lots of food options available here - such as - Ghee (indian), Sakura, Tap42, Sugarcane, to name but a few. It is also located right near Wynwood - which is walkable from here, so you can visit two places in one visit. Highly recommended. Is Shops at midtown safe? My bicycle was stolen. I was in the Home Goods store maybe 20 to 30 minutes. I left out and my bicycle was gone. It was securely locked on a bike rack. The area is always bustling with people.  For this to happen in broad daylight 12:45 to 1:06pm afternoon I was shocked. I was disappointed because things could be done better to protect the shoppers and there personal property from thief. read more

Shops at Midtown Miami is an outdoor, dog friendly shopping mall that has many great eateries (several that have daily happy hour too) and stores to browse and shop at. During my vacation in Miami this month, I ended up stopping by this outdoor shopping center twice. I love that one could easily spend an afternoon or evening here. But one negative of this shopping center is having to pay for parking. It does not seem that any of the stores provide parking validation and patrons are not given any a certain amount of time for free parking (like the 1st 90 minutes or first 1 for free, etc). For the first hour, it cost $2. If you are here for 3 hours, it will cost $3 and so forth. If I lived in this area, I probably would not come often because of the parking. But if you can get over the parking fees, stop by here and grab a bite to eat and/ or drink. Do a little shopping while you are at it. read more

I've been coming to this place for years and every year that I come there's something new in here. I love it because of the fact that it's open and very ample place, the streets are always clean and the landscape in here is nice. There's plenty of parking either Public parking in the streets or garages. You can find stores like Payless, gap Marshall's, target and more. They have different types of restaurants from bakeries to sushi places to bar and I love the variety of places that you can find in here. My visit today was met with a road closure do to a building under construction; I had to walk through the parking garage which is totally fine; what wasn't fine was when I returned to my car that parked legally on the street, to come to a car that was pelted with concrete all over it from the top to bottom. I wanted to take more of a video but even as I pulled ahead of where I parked, it was still raining concrete! How in the world is this allowed to happen? What shady construction company is putting up this hideous looking tower that allows concrete to drift across the street and tag every car down below? As I sat in my car, the concrete was still raining down and hitting the car in a loud manner as if was a hail storm, if there's any paint damage, someone's taking responsibility...what a disgrace for Midtown to allow this to happen as well. It's never a good time here, be it looking for a parking space, or needing to park in the garage and needing to pay to walk into a shop that otherwise has their own parking lot; I'd rather drive up to the Target off 140th than deal with the parking fuss and needing to take a cart up and down the elevator, and god forbid you forget your ticket to prepay before you drive off. There's also so many pet stores just a little north of 125 and Biscayne that's free to park in their lot. This place is a complete mess to say the least, and I avoid this place like a plague whenever I can. I'm sure the residents who live here are perfectly fine since they don't need to drive to this forsaken place, but the traffic and overload of stupid drivers mixed in with the limited street parking equals a disaster. read more

Nice are, there is a playground for the kids and a nice park. Shopping wise there aren't a lot of options. We ate at the Giraldas Brazilian Grill and the food was amazing, a must try. Also they have a $3 happy hour which was fun. read more

The Shops at Midtown Miami has a lot of spots I deem necessities in life. 1. Target - This is the closest Target to me and while it's not my favorite in the grand scheme of Target world, it gets the job done. 2. Party City - I plan events for (part of) my living and this Party City comes in handy when it's time to grab some helium, costumes, candy, and more. 3. Nordstrom Rack - I'm a Nordstrom gal so have fun checking out the Rack every now and then. 4. Pasion del Cielo - You can check out my other review for this coffeeshop but I love this specific outpost because it's quite big and cozy! 5. European Wax Center - When you're in need of a quick hair removal! 6. Restaurants galore! From some of my longtime favorites like Sugarcane and Cheese Course, to up and comers like Midtown Oyster Bar and Apeiro, there's something for everyone. 6. Petsmart - My little hedgehog needs food every now and then. 7. Sports Authority - For sporty things... Yes, parking can be a pain, but isn't it everywhere in Miami? I often find myself doing laps trying to find street parking and 9 times out of 10 end up in the garage. I guess I never spend more than 4+ hours here, but garage rates have never seemed completely unreasonable to me. Overall, I'm thankful this complex is around! It's easy to get to off of I-95 which makes it simpler to access compared to similar spots like Dadeland Station. read more

Finally, Midtown Miami's slogan of Urban, Fresh, Real is one step closer to reality. This past Saturday marked the inaugural open-air market place organized by the Shops of Midtown. Thank god. Although they may have had to deal with torrential rains and soggy ground from the day before, the vendors showed up, straw was thrown on the ground, the bouncy houses were inflated for the kids, and 150 reusable shopping bags were handed out to the first shoppers. All in all, the market seems like a success. There was a wide variety of vendors there, from veggies to orchids to vintage lamps to jewelry and local craftsmen's wares... but of particular notability were FarmFreshMiami and the Flower Bar. Many of you may already be familiar with FarmFreshMiami and the work they do to distribute organic, local fruits, vegetables, and products on a weekly basis to subscribers, but they also put out an amazing array of fruits and vegetables that just cannot be found easily outside of the restaurants in the area. Heirloom multi-color carrots were stunning, Orange cauliflower. Fresh herbs, yams... (NOTE TO MIDTOWN residents: they are open to opening a distribution point in MIDTOWN if we get 15 or so customers. Come on, guys - Target just doesnt cut it for your dietary needs, does it?) The other stunning vendor was the Flower Bar from Miami Shores. Not just another display of potted orchids and cut glads, these guys put on a show with birds of paradise suspended in glass cylinders, moss towers capped with succulents, coral used as vases, etc. Truly artful. I hope they can find a customer base here and come back... The only downside for me about the market was the actual location. Visibility is so important to the success of something like this, but the entrance to the market is in the middle of an undeveloped block, across from a parking garage, near the PetSmart... It s hard to find, even with 18 signs pointing the way, and feels so removed from all the streetlife that is developing in Midtown. It will be a real handicap to overcome, but I hope you can do it! This is my favorite mall in all of Miami, the main reason why? It's outdoors!! Yes, even when it's raining! Many of my favorite restaurants are located here; The Cheese Course (great place to hang alone with a book or with some friends but certainly with a glass of wine and a cheese board), Sakaya Kitchen (fantastic Korean fare), Sugarcane Raw Bar Grill (great happy hour cocktails), Latteria Italiana (decadent gelato). There are also many casual eateries here like The Daily Melt (a spot dedicated to the art of grilled cheese), Lime Mexican Grill, Spris (pizza), Hurricane (wings), Bar Louie and more. This mall has a variety of shops and restaurants. Over the years many new places have opened up and added to the list of cool spots to shop or hang out like Passion del Cielo coffeeshop, World of Beer, Wine Vault, Baru Urbano and more. Sadly, many places seem to struggle to make it here. I imagine the rent must be sky high. One place that I was sad to see go was a definitely definitely a favorite of mine; was ACME Bakery. What a gem it was. In it's place is Black Brick, a modern take on Chinese food. Mercadito served yummy Mexican cuisine and fantastic cocktails (Spicy-Hibiscus-tequila was my fave) but they too have closed. I think Azure took over the space now. I believe Bistro Cassis has closed too. What a shame. In it's place, something called Mercado will open soon and I can't wait. Looks like something right up my alley. I have spent countless hours at The Cheese Course just because the outdoor setting is so peaceful and beautiful, covered in plants. It feels like a secret garden. It is my little oasis escape. Dont get me wrong, the wine and cheese are fantastic too. After a few hours there, I'll take a short walk across the center lot and do a little shopping. Some of the retail shops include Target, Homegoods, Ross, Marshalls, Guess, Party City, Nordstrom Rack and West Elm. I love that this mall is also host to many great events either in the center lawn or near the SE corner of the mall on 1st Ave. During Art Basel week (in December) large tents near Sugarcane are erected and Art Miami & Context (one of my faves) are held there. So much fun! There is always parking available on the streets and plenty in the garages. And if you spot a Car2Go, hop in one and head over to nearby Wynwood to see what's poppin there! (You'll benefit from having the tiny car as parking isn't as easy to come by as it is in Midtown) read more

With your mixed use commercial and residential spaces, variety of eateries and places to shop, it's a shame you have now turned to greed by forcing us to pay to park. I would frequent your little shops and large department stores, but not any more. If I were a small business owner that relied on customers such as myself that came to grab a quick bite to eat, I would be furious as I am sure this new policy is hurting them. So I am doing the only thing I can do. Boycott and write a 1 star review. I do not plan on returning here any time soon. read more

Everythangggg!! Stores: That is how I would describe the shops. Okay, maybe they don't have everything, but with Ross, Marshall's, Homegoods (T.J. Maxx), Sports Authority, Target, not to mention the Guess Factory Outlet and a number of great restaurants, Midtown sure cuts it close! Parking: Plus, when you have expectations for super difficult parking only to find that the parking garage is a super easy experience, I don't know about you, but that makes my day infinitely better! There are also meters on the streets so there are options! Location: The area provides a nice place to walk around (and I'm sure live considering all the new housing construction and new looking buildings). What a hip and active plaza. I have passed by here many times on highway 195 on my way to South Beach and knew there was a bunch of popular restaurants. As much as I have been tempted, I have always continued onto South Beach and passed this up. Finally I had reason to be here when we parked here to visit some of the local exhibits and galleries during Art Basel. I really liked the layout of the plaza and the variety of stores and restaurants was a plus. We even managed to try Sakaya Kitchen while here. The only downside was the parking garage. Forgetting the 30 minute nightmare to exit (due to the over-crowding that comes with Art Basel), the cost to park here is ridiculous. I don't know if anyone else made the same mistake as me, but I read the pricing board when I pulled in and understood it as "free first hour, then 3 dollars after two hours and then a jump when you hit three hours and so on" and I thought the numbers were the total cost when actually it was "free plus 3 plus the third hour plus the forth...." It ended up costing 20 dollars for a few hours. I KNOW EXPLAINING IT HERE IS MAKING ZERO SENSE..... AND THAT'S EXACTLY WHY THE SIGN POSTED IN FRONT OF THE GARAGE MAKES NO SENSE. I have no idea why but the automated payment machine near the elevator wouldn't take my credit card. And then then a second attempt at the automated machine at the roadway exit wouldn't accept a different credit card. Luckily parking attendant was there because it was so chaotic with cars exiting, they lifted the gate and said don't worry about it.... HORAY TO FREE PARKING ! read more

I remember when I moved to Miami, the Shops at Midtown was the first place I was able to memorize how to get to from my apartment in Brickell. I love coming here because, seemingly it had everything I needed. Now that I've put in some time in Miami, I feel like there is still a lot to be desired here. Don't get me wrong, I really like the Shops at Midtown. I mean, there's a Target there. That has to be worth a star or two already. I think my chief complaint (other than parking which we'll discuss) is that compared to the abundant food choices, the shopping is really not great here. The only actual clothing store (not department store) is Guess. Can't we get a Gap or a J. Crew in there? I feel like it's a perfect area for people to clothing shop, why isn't it being utilized for that? Now there is Ross, Marshalls, Pay-Less, and of course, TARGET so you're not without. Like I mentioned earlier, the food is on point here. If you can't find food here, then goo luck to you. Parking is an issue here. The garage used to give you the first hour free, now the first hour is $2. Not a lot, but when you're used to not paying it is a nuisance. The street parking is great- if yo can find it. Make sure you pay the meter though. I still frequent that area to this day even though I don't live near there. I mean, there's a Pinkberry, why wouldn't I want to go there? read more

I love The Shoppes at Midtown! This Little Shopping Center has so much to offer and is super convenient if you just bit the bullet and park in the parking deck. There is new great restaurant every month opening up and most are pretty affordable. Mercadito, Sugarcane, Montaditos, Egyptian Pizza, The Cheese Course, Primo's and Sakaya all within blocks of my house!! Can't wait to see what other restaurants are in store for us Midtowners. My only gripe is that the park is still under construction and becoming a buggy mess. I know almost all of the shoppes are rental out,s o what's the problem Mr. Developer? Oh and the dog poop issue. I have dogs myself, but I try to be a good neighbor and pick up. Since apparently no other residents care about this, maybe there should be a poop patrol to help alleviate the problems. read more

There are plenty of great places to eat, a free multi-level parking lot, vending machines (ice cream and regular snacks, a park for soccer or walking... Personally, I think it's a weird strip mall. Also, off-price shopping gives me a headache. However, my dad found a great pair of walking sneakers (Ross) and we found like the best frozen pizza (Target). Shops at Midtown are great. However parking is another issue. My husband and I got to Midtown and did some shopping. Then we went to Bar Louie and did some eating and drinking. When we left 5 hours later out parking was $22!! That's insane. I called the parking company and I was told that anything over 5 hours was $22. However the sign at entrance said max rate $10. Very rude on the phone. Obviously we had to pay it or wouldn't have gotten car out. Not sure is we will repeat our weekly lunch and shopping here again. Definitely not worth it. read more

Boycotting Midtown!!! $2 parking was sneakily added! I've been coming here since it opened. I've been going to Target since it opened. I've been going to Moloko for months. I love this Petsmart. With nary a warning, the free hour of parking is gone. Now they want $2 just for driving into the lot. That's unacceptable and there are other options. Until this is fixed, I'm not going back to midtown and won't set foot in any of the shops there. We used to come here in groups of 10+ for work lunches. Not anymore!! I really don't know what has happened to this center. It seems to be mainly subpar mediocre restaurants now...with the exception of Salumeria and Sugarcane. Definitley seems overpopulated with restaurants. I thought this was supposed to have more shopping. I think the only store with clothing is a Guess Outlet? Uh, no thanks. I liked being able to pop in on a weekly basis to pick up some things at Target; however, Parking for the 1st hour is NO LONGER FREE!!! Novecento and Baru Urbano are open or are opening soon. Now the focus is on more nightclubs or bars....I already have those places in Brickell so no reason to make a trip north. In summary, subpar shops, overpriced parking, manufactured atmosphere and nothing really special to bring me back. read more

paid $34 for parking. we got there at 8:30 pm and left at 3 am... this is the most expensive parking fee i have ever paid and the elevator was broken.... shame on them... i will never go to this mall ever again. all the businesses should move out of there... no valet no ac no carwash read more

My issue with midtown shopping center is not with the shopping itself but rather the parking. I live part time in LA and part time in Miami and i never see this BS out west. Yes, if you forget to validate than that's your fault but at least they offer validation. Offer validation for people who shop!!! read more

I got surprised by the parking charge too. It used to be free for the first hour. To add insult, only one machine was working. The only machine working wouldn't take my $5 bill, so I used a $20....only to get back 18 dollar bills back. I'll be going elsewhere to avoid the hassle of this place. read more
