I used to work at a full line Nordstrom years ago, so I know quality when I see it. That's why I love the Rack because you can always expect good brands at better prices than you'd find at the full line store. To some people, Nordstrom Rack still feels a little pricey for a discount store, but you really have to compare it to the original full line price tags. I live in the NoDa area, and I will say this location was a bit farther out than I expected, about 25 minutes from my house. I was honestly surprised that there isn't a Nordstrom Rack closer to the city. This one is more on the outskirts, which is fine, but it does make quick trips or exchanges a little less convenient. Yes, you can return items at the full line Nordstrom, but sometimes you just want to browse and see what's new. Parking here was easy, and the store itself was clean and well organized. Coming from Houston and then Florida, I wasn't used to seeing so many coats in stock, so that actually caught my attention. They had a big winter selection, and I ended up leaving with a super cute trench coat, a puffer jacket, and a couple of other cold weather pieces since I know Charlotte winters are going to be colder. The staff was about as friendly as you'd expect at a Nordstrom Rack, but they moved quickly, and the checkout line wasn't long. Overall, this location was consistent with the other Nordstrom Racks I've been to. No surprises, just the usual dependable Rack experience. I'd definitely return.

The store was very well stocked and clean. You didn't see much on the ground from items knocked down. The items I found were priced very well. No complaints. There was so much variety here that you could spend a lot of time in this store. Upon checking out, I was greeted by a young lady. She asked me about opening a store credit card and I told her no thank you. Her demeanor changed, lol! I mean I'm sorry that I don't shop here often enough but also store credit cards are too limiting! But anywho...nice experience here and I would return.

Most common brand is Ryobi and Dewalt, with few others in smaller number. Sale included up to 40% discounts. There was one associate who was working really hard to help a customer to find a piece of tool she was looking for. If I was a resident of Charlotte I would have bought a lot of my tools from this store for sure.

I was here for the Fortune Cookie II Chinese restaurant but there is also pizza, nails, a nice Mexican place, Starbucks, Burger King and Game Stop. There is no traffic light to get in here but they have built a "cut" so that you can cross the northbound traffic to enter the shopping center. Please be careful - if the first lane stops, the second lane might not! You can also make a U-turn at Sandy Porter. I recommend taking the exit past the Burger King. The sales associates never disappoint in their service. My last visit I purchased a laptop cover. I was torn between the red one on clearance or a decorative one that was 70% off. I asked the sales associate about the length of the bag and if she had a measurement tape. She then asked what size my laptop was and I replied 15.5 inches. She quickly stated that I was good to go. I loved that she was knowledgeable about the product. Because I was torn between the two styles, the young lady at the register offered her opinion after I asked for it. She was really nice and provided me pricing for both of the items prior to ringing me up. I went with the decorative one and I really like it. It fits my laptop with room to grow. It also fit into my backpack since I travel with it from school to school. I will always return to this store as I have no complaints. Oh and their sales are awesome. I got a $95 laptop case for around $30.

I've been here for Two-for-Tuesday wings at the Wild Wing and it's always a challenge to find parking. At least the Cave Dwellers folks have their dedicated spots. The street starts at two lanes where it meets South Tryon and then, as it makes a curve, narrows to just one lane. A few accidents are missed by a hair. The first break in the center curb has a 'No U-Turns" sign but that is routinely ignored. There is a multi-story parking deck but it's not well marked and too far from the shops.
