You choose the fish and choose if you want it grilled, bartered or crumbed. They also do burgers, roast pork and potato bake. The fish I had was barramundi crumbed and it was good size piece, fresh and yummy and I'm not a big fish and chip person but I'll be back there for sure. Prices are very reasonable for the size fish you get too.

DUN DUN! nooooooo they don't have to be. Grill'd is a unique spin on a food that has always gotten a bad rap, their burgers are fresh, wholesome and bursting with ingredients. (I'm not kidding, they use skewers to keep the burgers together.) I love the range as well, I usually order the Zen Hen on a gluten free bun and a side of chips to share. Most people also agree that Grill'd has amazing decor (an American industrial meets Retro kinda vibe.) The staff are friendly and super accommodating (They also don't judge when you ask for cutlery to help demolish your burger.) And with 10 location's just in Brisbane, you have no excuse not to go!

So after a few weeks, on a night when my wife and I couldn't be bothered cooking we made an order. For two pieces of fish, chips, calamari and some potato scallops we paid under $20. We went down to picked up our order and found that the street outside was stacked with illegally parked cars and that The Codfather was pumping with people. My wife and I agreed that this looked like a good indication about the food we were about to eat. When my name was called out, the woman at the counter was really friendly. I was surprised when she said, with no second though to it, that we were new in the area. Happy with the in store experience we went home. We unwrapped the paper and were pleased to see a plethora of golden fried seafood and potato goods. The food smelled and tasted as brilliantly as it looked. The highlight was the potato scallops in batter, delicious. Needless to say, we are considered locals now.

I was meeting someone for lunch on a sunny Saturday afternoon. The outdoor seating area was already pretty full, but that's okay, we were going picnic style. As I waited for my friend to arrive I noticed the eat in servings were huge, and they all looked delicious. We just went with a couple pieces of barra and some chips, and yes, it was a very healthy serving (we didn't finish the chips, only I finished the huge slab of fish). There are plenty of picnic tables across the road facing the water, but take a blanket along and spread out in the shade under a tree.

But it didn't get in the way of me making my order, which was one of their tasty sounding 'Shish tawouk kebab' -- chicken skewer, pickles, lettuce, tomato, onion & garlic mayo in Lebanese bread. I've never had a kebab with pickles on it before, and I have to say -- I'm converted! The tartness of the pickles and crunch of marinated mustard-seeds went well with the garlic mayo (a similar combination that you find in Western hamburgers). The chicken pieces were tender and expertly cooked. Their bread is good quality too -- chewy and strong enough to hold its contents; no fuss no muss. At $8 it's about the same as a yiros across the road (although you get a bigger portion for your money), and as the guy serving me pointed out, it's traditional Middle-Eastern cuisine, as opposed to the Greek take you get at Char Char. They have some really interesting looking items on the menu I'd like to try, such as their walnut labne, chicken fahita and charcoal-cooked whole chicken (served w/ garlic dip & Lebanese bread). They also have an outdoor courtyard (still having the final touches put on but operational nonetheless) where you can take your meal. You can even have a shisha (traditional Middle-Eastern water-pipe used to smoke flavoured tobacco) if you're so inclined.

My friend ordered the Lamb shish plate ($15) and my partner and I chose the Shata Chicken Wings ($10 for 12) for nibblies. Our wings came out on a small dish with some garlic dip, and two pieces of pita bread. The wings were in truth, quite flavourless. They had some heat to them, but I wouldn't count heat as 'flavour'. The Lamb shish wasn't a large meal as it suggests in the menu listing: "2 charcoal cooked lamp rump skewers, 1 vege skewer, creamy yogurt sauce, served with rice, garden salad and wood fired bread". It wasn't presented well, nor was it flavourful or filling. One thing I would recommend from Arabella's is the Charcoal Chicken. You can purchase a perfectly blackened chook here for $14 (a half is $8). I'm not willing to give up on this place just yet. I'm going to go back and try out the kebabs. I've heard good reports about this place from around the traps, and so I'll probably give it another go. I could have just caught them on a bad night.

I recently moved from Indooroopilly but in the 6 months or so from the opening of NKB Express to when I moved, this was a regular choice for my friends and I. The interior is very authentic of the classic American diner from the counter, to the booth seating and the presentation of the meals. It is very accessible as it is just across the road from the Indooroopilly train station. Parking in the centre can be a bit of a challenge however. The meals are amazing! If you are in the mood for a serious burger, I highly recommend this place. They are filling and tasty. My favourite was the mushroom wagyu beef burger which as I recall was called the 'Central Park' or something similar. The chocolate shake was also a solid staple of mine. Prices are standard and they also do takeaway. It is definitely worth dining in for the full experience. It can get quite busy so avoid peak meal times or be prepared to wait for a table. If you are a fan of modern gourmet food and the inner-City lifestyle and you have not been to NKB Express, this should be your next stop! I'll be back.

So we couldn't order our favourite meal and there were no p ices anywhere just use by dates on the plates containing what little seafood she had. A total disgrace.
