It certainly lived up to my memories, expectations and more. The seafood buffet steals the show every Friday and Saturday night. With endless supply of oysters, massels, bugs, salmon, prawns, and more any seafood foodie will not be disappointed or leave hungry. For non seafood loves there is plenty on offer with a two hot bars, salads bar, cheese bar, soup bar, fruit bar, kids bar, drinks bar, and finally a dessert bar and ice-cream bar. Pricey but worth it. Get there before 7:30pm to avoid an hour wait. Can't wait to go again.

It wasn't until the car ride home that my tummy started to disagree with all the oil I had eaten. Besides this factor it is differently worth the drive out. To have a nice meal with an amazing view. Although I usually indulge in the takeaway variety, Fish's is also a restaurant and has a relaxed, family atmosphere. Along with the usual fish and chips, there are burgers, seafood platters, meals, mussels, oysters, prawns and calamari also on offer. If it comes from the ocean, chances are Fish's have it! And it's as fresh as fresh can be. If you are looking for somewhere to get excellent fresh prawns for Christmas or a BBQ, theirs come highly recommended by me! As does the cajun fish. I veered away from crumbed fish a little while ago and lashed out with the cajun (a big deal considering I'm a creature of habit) and it is awesome! The sanitising bucket wasn't changed the entire hour I was there and the scooper was left sitting in a mix of old gunk. It was obvious that cleanliness wasn't a priority and it was unsettling to see such poor attention to basic food safety. What made it even worse was the response when I complained. I was met with pure hostility. Nelson, the manager, was beyond unprofessional talking over me, defensively rambling, and insisting that all the staff claimed we had finished all of our plates. This was an outright lie. We didn't finish anything because most of it was terrible, but he refused to listen and instead tried to shift the blame. No direct apology, no offer to make things right, just excuses. Very dismissive and trying to get us out. Claimed that they have the best quality in food and service This place is a complete joke. The outside area overlooking the ocean is a bit dirty... the tables needed cleaning and while I ordered cod... the fish tasted not so cod. If you get what I'm saying. I'm not saying that what they gave me wasn't cod... I'm just saying it tasted like a cod 'basa' fish. The view is spectacular, so it is a pity my latest and probably last experience for a while wasn't as up to par as I'd thought it previously to be. Paid parking now being instituted at Westfield Chermside has caused a lot of the traffic to spill out over into the streets, which unfortunately can limit your parking choices for Bella Cosi. The place itself however is really quite lovely, with the choice of both outdoor and indoor seating. It oozes Italian charm, with red, black, and white seats and furnishings and an Italian street scene occupying an entire wall that gives you itchy feet and makes you want to travel. There's even the odd vespa outside, which only adds more Italian charm to the place. The tea they serve is made from real leaves, no fake tea here, and their coffee is strong and smooth, just what I love and expect from a true Italian restaurant. Breakfast is a treat here, with fluffy berry pancakes served with ice cream and excellent scrambled eggs. They also crisp the bacon if you request it. Breakfast isn't a busy time at Bella Cosi, so it's a really nice place to sit back and enjoy the Italian aura without excess noise or worries. Getting in early has its benefits, including easier parking and less of a crowd.
