They were great until they weren't. I was happy with the office, the staff, and every doctor had a good down to earth demeanor. When I decided to have a tooth extracted in the upper back area of my mouth; they presented me with a multi step treatment plan (many thousands of dollars) at which point I communicated that I had no intent to get implants etc because the gap would not be visible. Come surgery day, my surgeon went ahead and did a bone graft anyway. At the end of my follow up appointment a couple weeks later, the office manager pulled me aside and demanded over $800 additional for the bone graft. I communicated that I did not agree to that, had communicated my intentions earlier, and had only scheduled the appointment for the extraction. She quickly offered me a discount on the next step of the process (which hints to me that she knew they over reached) and I instead stated I should be discounted for the bone graft that I didn't ask for. She didn't budge, so I just paid up and found a new dentist immediately. Going to the dentist is stressful enough, the office shouldn't cause their patients undue financial strain on top of it. I was up front that I wanted extraction only and they performed extra work anyway. You can shake me down for the $800 since it's advisable to get a bone graft anyway, but it should be at a time of my choosing, not yours. I have been searching for a dentist and heard a lot of good things about this practice, so I went. I cannot tell you how impressed I was! They have equipment I have never seen, state of the art and so advanced! I don't have insurance but they offer great prices and the staff was super friendly and helpful every time ani have dealt with them. Dr. Arias was very professional and explained everything in detail, which has been my source of disappointment with some dentists in the past. (Seriously? This is the only dentist I will go to. I used to be terrified of going to the dentist, until I went to see Dr. Zaidi at SDA. He was so kind, upbeat, and reassuring. During my dental work, Dr. Zaidi and his staff showed the utmost care for my comfort every step of the way. The oral surgeon, Dr Reff, was likewise friendly, calm, and reassuring. I asked to get novocaine and nitrous, and they did a great job of numbing me. I didn't have a second of pain or even discomfort through two extractions. And I used to require IV anesthesia (which they also have available)! Even the front office staff are great with people. I had a broken tooth and feared it needed to be pulled. Dr. Ditmars was such a nice calming doctor. Walked me through step by step what was going to be done. The procedure was painless and very quick. Feel comfortable going back to this practice. The dental hygienist was so kind and the receptionist was so accommodating. This was the absolute worst experience with a dentist that I have ever had. I needed an old crown to be replaced and what I thought would be a simple procedure ended up dragging out for more than 3 months. The dentist removed my old crown, put in a temporary crown and sent out to have a new one made. The temporary crown fell out that very evening while I was brushing my teeth due to what I feel was a poor job of installation. when I called the office the next morning to have the temporary reinstalled I was told that there was no appointment available for a week, l practically begged to be seen sooner but was not accommodated even though it would have only taken 5-10 minutes to just recement the temporary.so I had to go for a whole week without anything covering the exposed tooth. Once the permanent crown came in several weeks later, it was so poorly done and was such a poor fit that it couldn't be used and the dentist had to send out for a new one to be made and this would take another 2 weeks but since the dentist would be going on vacation and doesn't work with any other dentists to cover him, I had to wait almost 4 more weeks for an appointment to have the new crown placed. During this whole time I had to chew on only one side of my mouth for fear of dislodging the temporary crown, this resulted in severe muscle fatigue and jaw pain. Once the work was finally completed I changed dentists and had to have another crown replaced and was charged $200 less than I was charged at Shore Dental, boy did I feel ripped off! All around awful experience : poor workmanship, inflexible appointment times, overcharging for services. read more

First time my husband made his appointment a few months ago... he made it for a holiday weekend. The receptionist made the appointment for him and when they decided to close.. they never called him to tell him! The dentist called to apologize and convinced my husband to make a second appointment ... which is now set to be tomorrow. TODAY they called him to ask if he could reschedule for next week. When he explained to them that no, he could not reschedule again for he had to take the day off from work to be able to even make this appointment.... they told him oh well, you can come tomorrow but just for xrays, we dont have the time to clean your mouth because we are too busy.... Oh really? Because i'm pretty sure my husband has had this appointment for quite a few weeks... WHO RUNS A BUSINESS THIS WAY!!!!!?? I guess we will see if we keep the appointment... Will change possibly to two stars if they end up being a little more accommodating. read more

If you are like me then you probably hate going to the dentist. We have all had terrible memories and experiences sitting in that chair under a barbarians care. Dr Zaidi and his team put all those experiences and memories behind me. He is passionate about the care and well being of his patients. His team is professional and all well trained. We came up with a treatment plan making sure to keep cost and severity in mind. That was a first never had a dentist take that approach. Usually the just want to take your money. Well anyways i had to go in today for an emergency because one of my teeth went bad before its scheduled treatment. My tooth abscessed which is extremely painful making the treatment more complicated. He was unshaken and completed the procedure with painless precision.
