My 19 year old college son who has high functioning autism wanted to go for a exam and loved this place last time he went. He wanted contacts which they did not stock. My son has issues with bright light. He said the Doctor must have had a bad day as he was nasty! Then he asked him due to his sensitivity of light with his eyes can he sign a medical exemption form so he can get his car tinted light. He told him. I'm not doing those! WHY NOT? Who pissed in your corn flakes this morning. I Manage a Body Shop for Pine Belt. I would never talk to a customer that way! read more

I had an amazing experience at Shore Eye Associates. The staff was very courteous and friendly. Dr. Wnorowski performed surgery on both my eyes and all went extremely well. I no longer have to wear glasses and I stopped my eye medication that I have been on for 20+ years! Thank you Dr. Wnorowski and staff for a wonderful experience and outcome. read more

Drs. Wnorowski, Pan and Schoener. We pride ourselves on providing state of the art eyecare in a friendly and compassionate atmosphere. We specialize in cataract surgery. Our surgeons have done over 8,000 cataract surgeries. We use all of the latest implants for surgery including the Acrysof Restore, the Crystalens, and the Acrysof Toric lens for astigmatism. We will discuss all of the appropriate lens options with you without any high pressure salesmanship. We promise you will not leave your discussion about your implant choices feeling like you were shopping for a used car. We also promise that we not do your cataract surgery in 5 minutes. It will be done with painstaking precision and care and we will not rush through it. Besides cataract surgery we also take care of other eye diseases including, Glaucoma, Macular Degeneration, Dry Eyes, Diabetes and routine eye exams.

History

Established in 1993.

Dr Wnorowski, a New Jersey native, returned to the state after his residency at the University of Virginia in 1993. The practice has since grown to include three ophthalmologists, one optometrist, 4 offices and 2 optical shops. The office are located in Toms River, Brick, Whiting and Spring Lake Heights.

Meet the Business Owner: Brian W.

Dr. Wnorowski is a New Jersey native. He is originally from North Brunswick and spent his summers in Normandy Beach. Dr. Wnorowski attended Rutgers College in New Brunswick and received his medical degree from UMDNJ- New Jersey Medical School in Newark. Upon graduation he received an award for being among the top five students in the graduating class. Dr. Wnorowski completed an internship at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ and a three year Ophthalmology residency including one year as chief resident at The University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA. In 1993, he returned to the Jersey shore to practice Ophthalmology and opened his own practice in 1995. Dr. Wnorowski is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, having passed his board certification exam in the top two percent of the country. Leann said she didn't call me and didn't make any effort to resolve the issue I was having with getting the medication refilled. In my opinion, there was no reason for me to be playing phone tag because on Wednesday, when I spoke to possibly Rosie, and Rosie said the doctor will send the Rx to Pharmacy Emporium, it should have been done. If it was my business, or I worked in the office of Dr Flaks, I would not respnd to patients with "I did not call you." I would take care of the reason for the call first time call resolution, and if not in one call, I would follow through and ensure that my reason for calling was resolved and I would have called me back. She did not do any of that. Leann also said she did not see that anyone called me from there yesterday but they did twice and left me a voicemail once. My phone keeps track of all the times I have spoken to them. From now on, I am not deleting their voicemail messages to show proof that someone there left me messages, some of which are very detailed which I prefer. If I knew how to record the calls themselves, I would do that too. I know I can, but I don't do it. I have been waiting since LAST Wednesday for Zoryve to be sent to a specialty pharmacy and for that pharmacy to contact me for my new insurance to fill the medication for me which I really need. Meanwhile, last week, I was told Dr Flaks said she will send a RX for the Zoryve to that pharmacy and I haven't gotten it or heard from the specialty pharmacy and her office staff isn't doing their due diligence. Dr Flaks does not seem to care either, and now I am looking for a new dermatologist who knows how to treat their patients as well as their staff. Do better!!!

Seven months later, I called for a refill for Solontra rosacea cream and told they won't refill unless I came in for another office visit. In my experience, you only need to be seen once a year for rosacea. There is no reason to pay for another office visit. I was going to refer my daughter to Dr. Derrick for her rosacea, but now she is staying with her dermatologist and a once a year visit. Paragon derm lost 2 patients due to a money grab.

Dr. Wnorowski is the consummate professional. He is an expert cataract surgeon and ophthalmologist. I'm writing this a day after my cataract surgery and I see perfectly now. Please if you have a cataract do not wait as long as I did and suffer with poor vision. Put your eye care in the hands of the loveliest team at Shore Eye Associates. Everyone there treated me so wonderfully and followed up with phone calls as well. Dr Wnorowski has an amazing bedside manner and is to the point in regard to what needs to be done as well as offering clear and concise options that made me feel so secure in moving ahead with the surgery. What a gift to be able to see perfectly now and have a whole new outlook on life because of the skilled hands of a great Doctor. Trust me I'm a finicky customer and do a lot of research and this man is the cream of the crop. Thank you to the entire team at Shore Eye Associates and thank you Dr. for giving me my new found vision so I can move through my life now with greater ease and comfort. A few months ago I suffered from a terrible eye infection out of the blue. It was so bad that I could barely open my eyes and really couldn't even drive. I was new to the area and didn't have an eye dr. yet. I am SO glad I was recommended to Shore Eye Associates! They were so helpful in seeing me right away, figuring out my insurance info., and making the process as simple as possible. Amy was really helpful in answering all of my questions and responding to me right away. She even brought me Refresh eye drops so that I didn't have to drive. I am so pleased with Dr. Wnorowski and his entire staff for their professionalism and caring attitudes. I recently had cataract surgery in both eyes and it has opened a whole new world for me. In February, 2017 I had two cataract surgeries done by Dr. Brian Wnorowski. The care that he showed was very comforting. I did not have any issues afterwards. His office and staff reflect Dr. Wnorowski's personality. Knowledgeable, friendly and clean. Afterwards Richard Striffolino (Licensed optician), made up a pair of glasses.
